Questions about the rules of the game.
Questions about how the game works/figures things out
Guess i can ask this here....
How does the International Incidents thingy work? You buy things from other countires? using.....fake money's? Then what prevents a person from buying like 4 Trillion nukes, and what not?
Sorry, but that thread just confuses me....a lot...
The International Incidents forum isn't just for trade, it's also for wars, diplomacy and such.
Someone who trys to order 4 trillion nukes will, in all probability, find themselves ignored.
A lot of people decide how much money they spend on their military budget using this: GDP Calculator (http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php).
Then, it's just a case of deciding what store, and taking your pick. To end a transaction, most people type '*money wired*' to show that they have paid for it. You'll get advice and become more experienced as you go along. If you want to learn more about roleplaying, why not join the region, Roleplay University? Experts can answer most of your questions there.
Buying 4 trillion nukes is god modding - ignore them.
Mostly you just role play, Get a good idea of the ecconomy of your country, the political values and beliefs of your people and such, and go and be a politician. (with, if you like, fake money. You might like to try the GDP calculator - link momentarily evades my memory)
Have fun

Well, if i did that correctly, i have no population, no money, no econmy...lol
But when you buy things....does it effect you in some way? Also, how are wars done? IE
HAHA! Your dead, i nuked you with 5 nukes or something....
Also, when i said 4 Trillion nukes....i ummm....exagerated a little...just a little though
I'm the youngest nation (at this very time) to succesfully be given the right to own and produce nuclear weapons.
And that was because I did alot of good roleplaying to back it up.
But basically, the game is only fun if you don't 'godmod' (meaning you don't just make things up) otherwise, everyone just ignores you and it becomes very boring.
If you don't godmod, you get like me ^_^ very privileged and I'm really enjoying the game and all the bits occasiated (spelling?) with it.
For example, I've spent the last week or so roleplaying the growth of my space program, to the level at which I've nearly got my first colony ship into space.
International Incidents is used for anything international generally that involves other players.
NationStates is used for just, well, fun roleplaying. Like the construction of my space program for example
Good luck in the NS world and since you bothered to ask before you went ahead getting 4 Trillion nukes you've got a friend in the NationState community. :D
Maybe I should be a bit more explicit in my FAQ list and separate out trade from war.

You put your nation's name in brackets yeah? Try this: http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=gosabon&randomize=1
I'll leave you to decide how much you're military budget is.
I hate the GDP Calc. Waaay to biased
