You cant delete posts that you have made. You're post count will stay the same unless a thread you posted in gets deleted. There's nothing wrong with high posts.

I don't think you understood. I was talking of peoples personal lists and not the post in them self. :)

TROUSRS: No, he means the complete list of your own posts.

Hjornevik: You can't remove posts from that list on this version of phpBB.

Sorry.

I don't think the question is about the Nation's Dossier. It's about the egosearch: the list of ones own forum posts.

There is no way (that I know of) to limit this list yourself, sorry. The most active threads will be displayed first, so the old stuff should slowly drop to later pages and you won't have to look through those unless you want to see really old posts.

Peng-Pau and Ballotonia are correct in stating that your archive of posts cannot be edited. As you post, they are added to your personal archive. If for any reason the posts themselves are deleted by Moderator action, they will disappear from the archive too. In any case, I have found it pointless to re-read stuff I posted even a week ago. If you really want to be able to refer back to a particular post, I suggest you locate it and bookmark it in your browser.

Even though I try to delete multiple posts promptly, I am sometimes unable to do so because there has been a reply.
This is the case even when the delete button is still showing.
It would be a great convenience and make our forum neater if we could delete multiple posts after a response has been made. Is there any way to do this, not just delete content but the whole post, in such circumstances?

I tried "Help" but it didn't help, it just sent me to this forum. So here I am.

Without severe editing of the PHPBB code, there is no way to determine whether a single post is part of a multiple series, and thus no way to isolate this for specific deletion possibilities.

To allow deletion of posts in general would make it difficult for the mods to track people's post actions and would also make threads read completely wrong, so my guess is it's not going to happen

Thanks!

Even though this was not the answer I had hoped for, I'll have to accept it.

After all, anyone with "Code" in their name has to know much more about these tech things than I do!
