I cannot log into my old nation
My old nation is 'The Armed Republic of Aiki' and I have not been able to
login to it for several days. I have supplied my email address and I have
requested a new password several times and I have never gotten a reply.

Is this a hotmail e-mail address? If it is then you may have problems with your spam filters
And are you sure you could'nt have made a typo or put in a differnt email address?

Possible problems:
1) You have mis-remembered your password
2) Passwords are case-sensitive. For example, "password" and "PassWord" are not the same. (Disclaimer- note that these should never be used as passwords).
3) You accidentally changed your password / e-mail address as specified in the Settings.
4) You left your settings on auto-login and logged in from a public computer terminal, or your password was guessed by another player and your nation hijacked.
I am afraid we cannot restore nations in such cases, as we have no proof of ownership.

I forgot to play my nation for a while :oops: so it was removed.. If I try to log in, it says that such nation no longer exists.. but if I try to register the same one again, it says the name is taken (there really is no nation under that name, and I know that no one has gotten my password, so it seems you just can't re-register a nation with a name previously used, even if the nation has been removed, right?)
Not a mega issue, I started a new one, but if it *is* possible to re-register an old nation, I'd like to know how. (I did enter an e-mail address when originally creating that nation)

File a request at the Getting Help page: http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help and it could be restored. If it is, you would still have to use the original password to log in. We do not have access to them.

Stop teasing the younger nations....
I'm afraid that you can't be helped any further here. Tactical Graise layed out the options on what could have happened. Try those, if not, I'm sorry but you're screwed.
