I read the announcement before I posted but i never really knew what "RP" or "Threads" means so I dont understand the announcement.
Can you help me find out??

RP means Role Play, which is where you act out a character in a story. There are bunch of RP threads in the NationStates or International Incidents forums.
A thread is what I am posting in. Think of it as a thread of comments from different people.
If you need any other help about what different things are, Sirocco made a thread about the language of NationStates (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74603).
A thread is a one link in one forum. Like this one.
