Is It Just Me?

Durring certain parts of the day, NS moves so slow, my computer will shut down the window thinking it isn't running properly. Does this happen to anyone else?
Yes, It used to happen to me all the time. I nearly went crazy during the Amerigo War. I don't know why it doesn't happen so often to me anymore but it did teach me patience. I also started using a different server to access NS when I had problems.
Good luck.

I regularly observe half-hour slowdowns at around 5pm, 10pm and 12:30am GMT. I am guessing that these times may correspond to peak login times. For example, Europeans logging in upon returning from work/school while East Coast US logs in at lunch, Europeans logging in before going to bed while East Coast US logs in on return from work/school, and then another round of after work logins from West Coast US.
Again, this is only a guess, fitting my observations to the likely schedule people follow. Perhaps a few thousand more nations being logged into in a relatively short space of time would be enough to slow down the server for those already online.

Actually, that makes sense.
My only problem is it effects my whole computer.

Danya, it's not just you. I suffer the same with NS, if your hole puter slows down. I suggest that you A.Shut down stuff you don't need running B. Do a virus scan C. Check for spyware and D. Maby you have so much on the HD that you don't have room for cookies and such :D
Or like me you really should reformat and refresh things, but are to lazy to do it

I'm using a new labtop, but you're right. I have a friend who's a hacker. I'll let him play with it to see who's messing with it.

I hope that it's nothing more than a software issue :) , i really should fix my puter :( . As i know i have really bad spyware on it..
Why not just get a good virus scan and a firewall? You need one anyway. You probably just need to dump some temp/internet files. When was the last time you de-fragged? Clear your history and all your internet files. Just make sure you know all your passwords. You may need to uninstall some crap.

I'll just kick my brothers off for a week or so, and de-frag (always hated that, it's too close to fag).

It could be lots of parasitic startup programs. See below:

EDIT: Actually, here's a good list:
