Why do the names of people change when deciding issues?

Apologies if this has been covered before, but why do the names of people named in issues change when you click to approve a decision? And why do senior officials who also happen to be your siblings sometimes have names inappropriate for their gender? Is there some Boolean thing going on there?

Those names are random. :P So they change all the time.

The issues just use a @@RANDOMNAME@@ macro which accesses a database of names. It takes a random forename and a random surname and sticks them into the issue. That's why I recommend not using genders in my Issue Codes sticky.

the names change because when you choose an issue, the page refreshes and chooses another name as if the page were being accessed for the first time
