Bug or Feature: Lots of police do nothing to stop crime

Just like it says. I have lots of police, yet crime is a "serious problem." Is this a bug or is the game just set up that way.

If the latter, then you're all a bunch of stupid hippies.

Max Barry thinks (and me too) that an omnipresent police force is not the answer to crime. Maybe barcoding is :wink:

A feature, of course, a bit like tax cuts which do not always have a positive effect on your economy. The real world is far more complicated than simple black and white or cause and effect relationships, and in some ways, this game reflects that.

Social welfare decreases crime. Oh, that's just a GREAT message max... If I don't steal money from my citizens with taxes, they'll steal it themselves... with crime. Does anyone else see the irony here?

no wonder why my nation keeps going from "crime is well under control" to "crime is moderate"
