Any chance of getting Region Only UN's?

It'd be nice to have 2 layers of UN - the current global model, and a region specific UN that other regions cannot influence?
Nations could choose to be in the global UN, and/or the regional UN. Basically apply all the current global UN bits down to the regional level, but leave the global UN still there.
Thoughts?
Good idea!
Right now we are all governed in the UN by the big regios like the Pacifics

Well, the chances of this in NS1 are essentially zero. Feel free to discuss though, some good ideas might come out.

There's no way it's going to happen in NS1, it would turn the servers into a gooey puddle of melted plastic.
In NS2 the UN would be much more effective, as there would be several 'worlds' in it. This means that you won't be at the mercy of the 10,000 or so Pacific n00bs and their rampaging 'yes' votes.

Interesting idea.
Interesting idea.
I'm working on an idea where all Regio's UN nations come together and vote for a proposal, and after they all voted together they synchronize their votes and enter the UN voting page to vote acording the majority of UN states. So in a way they all vote as one person, but they are free to change their minds. The site is almost ready, so contact me if you want to know more.
Nothing on Regio level
