How do choices effect nation states

The issue quesitons are very straight forward, yet i would like to know if anyone understands how the unalterable beginning questions alter your nation.

The beginning questions only give you your random roll of the dice as to what your beginning 'stats' are. Over time you can change them as you wish. I've seen nations with "Scandinavian Liberal Paridise" with weak econ rating morph itself to "Corporate Police State" with a Very Strong rating in two months.

A country should be judged by how it treats its worst-off citizens.

Agree and your civil rights go up…disagree and they go down.

Corporations do more good for society than harm.

Agree and your economy goes up and your income tax level goes down. Disagree and your economy goes down (perhaps only slightly depending on another answer) yet your income tax level goes up.

Marijuana should be legal.

Agree and your civil rights go up…disagree and they go down.

The world needs to rediscover its spirituality.

Agree and…I’m guessing civil rights go up. Disagree and they go down.

A lot of what's wrong with youth today could be fixed by a year's military service.

Agree and your nation gets stronger military rankings but lower civil rights. Disagree and your military is weaker yet your civil rights are stronger.

Capitalism is on the way out.

Agree and you’re socialist. Civil rights go up…economy goes down. Disagree (as you should) and you’re capitalist…civil rights go down…economy goes up.

Without democracy, a country has nothing.

Agree and you’re a democracy...political freedoms go up…disagree and you’re a dictatorship…political freedoms go down.

It's more important to deter criminals than try to rehabilitate them.

Agree and the amount of people in your prisons go up….disagree and crime goes down due to “progressive social actions” or whatever.

From my observations (although I may be wrong):

1. Correct.

2. Correct.

3. Correct.

4. Correct, although I think that if you are an opressive nation it might have the opposite effect.

5. I think that political freedoms factor into it also I once raised my military spanding as aDemocratic Socialists and became corrupt dictatorship.

6. But it won't always say capitalist or socialist on your rating. Scandanvian Liberal Paradise and Left-Wing Utopia are both socialist for instance. And, no, you should check "strongly agree" ()

7. No, Whenever I try creating Iron-Fist Socialist (The fourth rarest nation type, and my favorite dictatorship) I always get medium democratic freedoms.

8. Actually crime becomes nonexistant.

Marijuana should be legal.

Agree and your civil rights go up?disagree and they go down.

I'm pretty certain this is actually the only point at which the "<nationname> awash with red-rimmed eyes" issue ever comes up. That is to say, disagree here (as I did several months ago with a short-lived puppet) and your chances of getting this issue are basically zilch. Agree (as I must have done here) and it comes up until you ban marijuana usage.
Then again, it's a while since I've even seen the issue, so I might be talking through my hat.

No, in one of my dystopian puppets (as I enderingly reffer to my five {well four until Greater Dystopia is resurected} of them) I banned Marijuana and I got the issue.

The death Penalty issue (if you allow human sacrafice), gun issue (if you ban them), car issue (if you ban them), and national animal issue (if it becomes your main course) also seem to be permenate.

Touche. I'd never had the experience of getting the marijuana issue after banning it, but it's always interesting to hear from people who have.

Ah... but the real question is what effect do you receive when you don't answer the questions?

I can tell you that picking "evil" and not answering the radio-dialed questions gave me an Outlawed/Imploded/Outlawed nation. Pretty neat.

Oh-ho.

Let's see what else happens when we do such.
