Question: Can a nation change its name?

No. Nations themselves have never been able to change names, presumably because of the confusion this could generate. Moderators used to be able to change nation names under circumstances where it was clearly an offensive one (e.g. "<racial/religious group>isgaystan"), but that function's been disabled since it was causing a problem related to population growth and issues.

why not just make a new nation to play with to celebrtrate teh taking down?
