Compliance Ministry

Whenever a new resolution is passed, some UN nations receive a telegram from the Compliance Ministry letting them know laws have been enacted to bring their nation in line with the passed resolution.

Some UN members of my region have reported that they've never received such a message (after being a UN member for months), while others receive it always. Some others receive such a message about half the time a resolution is passed.

How is it determined whom gets these messages and whom doesn't, and is there a difference in whether or not the effect gets applied to your nation when one does / doesn't get the telegram?

maybe you only get it when you're not in compliance yet

I've been wondering the same thing myself. I joined the UN the day after I created Goobergunchia and I've never recieved a "Compliance Ministry" telegram.

I don't know I've gotten several,I guess it may be possible I've missed one though since I have not been paying much attention to the U.N recntly

I've ogtten one for every propsal passed (I think). It might be a glitch in the software, that some get them and some don't.

I think its a glitch. The positive part is, given the effects of the UN resolutions which have passed, if you don't get one, the UN resolution doesn't seem to afffect your nation.

I have only gotten one of these in the entire time I have played the game (I believe)-- and this is using at least a half-dozen different nations.

Odd. Could this be why I believe the UN is useless in this game and has no effect?

I'll start sending mine to you Ack, I get the stupid things all the time. I don't even look at the UN, it doesn't really do much for me except give me that cute little blue tag.

Hm. I never get them.

Oh, wait... I'm not in the UN...

Ahem. My UN nation used to get them, but hasn't for a few months now.

I have received a telegram from the Compliance Ministry after every resolution that has been passed. (Maybe I am just not that compliant!) :)

I wonder if you only get it if it really makes changes to your nation. If you are already basically in compliance then it doesn't send one to you? Don't know, just guessing.

I haven't received one of these telegrams in months. At first I would get them for every resolution, and then they stopped. I guess it's either a glitch or my nation has been in compliance with everything for several months.

Well, of those half a dozen nations, only your single UN nation would be elligible to receiving such an email. That is, assuming that you only have a single UN nation.

I usually get these notices, but one or two I've not received, and those were when I hadn't signed on for a while. Every time that I've been active a day or two before the resolution passed, I've received the telegram.

I only have 1 UN nation. I may have misspoken, I was attempting to say that I have had a half dozen different UN nations now (only one at a time always) and have only recieved like one of these such TMs ever.

Also, whoever offered to forward their TMs, please do not. Thanks.

I think it's a glitch, but it's one I'm happy with. Some of the nations in my region started out similar to mine but due to the fact that they get the compliance notices and the effects, they've had trouble controlling their nations to get the type of government they want.

Sometimes I get that compliance telegram, sometimes I don't.

I never bothered looking for a pattern.
