Nation Recycling

I see a bunch of small nations, good RPers, who struggle because they are small. Wouldn't it be a good idea if the mods resurected nations deleted for rules violations, or nations dead for several months, and give them to te small ones? I realize that this might have troubles with 'favoritism!' but does anyone think this a good idea?

Very much a bad idea. Look at us 'big nations'. We had to fight our way through the ranks. Well, when I started playing the biggest nations that didn't have the pop-bug only had around 200m, give or take.

But the fact remains, the little fish must work their way up the ranks. They shouldn't get a step up because there are so many in the billion club.

Well, no matter how good an RP'er a small nation is, if Menelmacar or someone decides to annex you, you're annexed. You're pushed around. And if NS lasts for another year, almost no one will want to join because you can't make it in the world. (in a year I might have half the population of Kitsylvania.)

Its a Darwinian process - nations who know how to stay out of the way of the big guys, while still making a name for themselves last - those that don't...

Its the circle of life, eventually the owners of the older, more experience and larger nations will get bored with this game and slowly disperse and then the next generation will reign. Like Wolfish said it is darwinism and surival of the fittest taken to a different level.

They can also stay off the forums for two months after creation like I did. ;-)
