Full 7 Days to consider UN proposals, please.

The limited amount of time delegates have to review proposals is far too short. As half the delegates don't even get to review the proposals more than once a week, several days worth of proposals can be lost because delegates aren't on in time to vote for them.

I also suggest we have the proposals sectioned into groups by their expiration date. Example: All proposals expiring on "Wednesday" would be sorted into their own category, and if we get a full 7 days to approve of them, each category would have proposals in it, and we delegates would have the ease of picking a day's worth of proposals and reading through them at our lesiure.

I support this idea. If anybody's interested in my opinion, I think that [violet] should consider working on this right after getting Game Moderators set up to review user-submitted issues.

Considering that you just made a topic about this, recently, I think it might be a good idea to link (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=66458) to the earlier discussion for those interested in reading the full discussion (rather than an abridged version).

Thanks for the link. I decided to make a new topic on this because previously I merely suggested we somehow get more time to look at proposals. In this post, I've come up with a feasable idea to make it work.

[shrug] :?

The way I see it, this idea is an evolution of the previous idea you posted, and so should be in the old topic. Then again, this does seem, at first glance, to be important enough to warrant a fresh topic for a fresh look.

To bump, or not to bump: that is the question: Whether tis' nobler in the mind to organize related matter in a single thread or to post a new thread to draw attention to a single idea and by posting bring it to everyone's eye?

Sounds good to me Fantasan. Although I have no conception on what it takes to write code.

Funnily enough, it used to be that way, Fantasan. It was shortened to 3 or 4 days because after that point, the vote was almost always completely decided and it just wasted 3 days of the UN's time.

I'm not talking about having the proposals just sit all in a lump like they do now. Each day's proposals should have a slot you can choose from, and things have changed since the early days. There are delegates who only log in once a week, or less. This would help them have more of an opportunity to approve proposals.

I renew my suggestion to give a full 7 days for proposal consideration.

I again renew my request. Delegates need a full 7 days, please. The proposals deserve it.

I agree on both counts.

Would you believe that I saw two issues: "Abort Abortion" and "Against same sex Marriage" described as "A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights?"
