How to get pictures on from your computer
1. Get the picture
2. Get a free web site (like www.freewebs.com or www.freehomepage.com)
3. Upload the picture onto the site (freehompage.com doesn't allow bitmap)
4. Save the site
5. Copy the address of the picture
6. In your post/thread, paste it in the middle of
7. Submit
Note: This takes little effort, but lots of time.

You don't have to make your own website. You can upload them on to www.imagestation.com or www.villagephotos.com too. They're both free so check it out! :)

www.freepichosting.com. Is also a free site. You're only able to host pictures on them. You need to download some software that uploads the pictures for you. And you don't even need to go through all that HTML.
Only downside is you get only 5000 picture views a month. But if your like me and only use it for forums etc. And not ebay. You'll never even drop under 4500. ^_^

I mean I think it makes more sense to upload them to a pic hosting site.
There are links too three of them, and a forum is not intended for pi-hosting purposes.
If you have the image on the forum, thats one thing.
I once posted a picture of my pet sun-conure, Peaches from one of my Yahoo groups, but generally It would make more sense to upload pictures to a website designed for it.
Edit: Oh, yeah, and the link to the free forum place if anybody wants to do what Sturm A. did the forum site is at http://www.invisionfree.com
