Players of Nationstates,

As many of you know there was a huge drop of players last year in the game, a friend of mine started a little project over just longer than a year which shows the exact drops in many major regions which you can look at. I recently added the changes from the last time the figures were taken to what the figures where yesterday. I think it is an interesting document and I think it would be useful for you to see so that is why it is up here. It was created on the new Excel software.

I am happy to take any questions about the project which you may have. I would also like some suggestions about how to improve it as that is what my and my friend want to do. We have got a better version being created but it might not be finished for a while so any suggestions sooner will be better than later.

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS:

FIRST: Click the link
SECOND: Scroll down the page
THIRD: Wait about 20 second for the free download ability to become available
FOURTH: Press the download button
FIFTH: Press the new download button again quickly
SIXTH: Choose whether to open or save it

Thank You

Yep, I've checked out the problem with it and the first thing you see before you download it is a set of price ranges asking you for membersip.

I have now found a new host for the software and I have replaced the link so it should now work. There is also a set of instructions for download as well so you shouldn't have a problem any way.

In other news, we have confirmed today that the sky is indeed, blue.

All kidding aside, I don't see the point of your project if it's just going to spew out numbers showing what all of us know, that the number of users are declining. One Big Island has gone from 70+ users to hovering around 40 lately. But you know what, the quality users are still there. So to a point, you can say that we are just trimming off the fat. And I certainly don't need to download something to show me that. You *could* cut and paste the numbers into the post, after all.

Suggestions have made all throughout the forums. Certainly, the number of issues must significantly increase. I'd also like to see a feature where a nation could request not to get a certain issue again because all they are is a waste of our "dismiss" time. For instance there are some issues that don't exactly fit with the theme that the user has with their nation and in the opening suggests that something is happening that would not be. Sure it's an easy "dismiss", but how about a feature that lets us not get that issue again.

Also more statistical charts on the main page would be nice. But all this has been said before, and there is a separate forum for suggestions anyway.
