Signup here for the 6th edition of the World Bowl. This is the competition for all of you (American) football/gridiron/gridball fans!

I would like for this competition to begin around April 25th, which is the date of the NFL draft, so signups will close on Sunday, April 19th at noon Eastern US time.

OFFICIAL BID FOR WORLD BOWL 6

The World Bowl will be scorinated as it always has, but this time with the 2.0.7.1 scorinator that Dancougar released.

The group format will depend on the eventual number of signups, but it will see every team play each other twice, one at home and one on the road, before advancing to Secristan for the playoffs. The traditional number of games has been 10 for the World Bowl, and I will try to make that happen again.

Teams are encouraged to better their chances of winning through roleplay, while needing to bear in mind that the World Bowl has reached a stage now where a nations rank, or more specifically, their WB-point value will play the largest role of all. Quality of RP is the most important thing, therefore only two RP’s per matchday will be considered. If you RP more then twice, your highest two scoring RP’s will be considered. I’m not going to critique and scrutinize every RP like a college professor would a term paper. If it’s something you put time into, it will show, and therefore be scored well. RP bonus is cumulative until halfway. At the halfway point, the RP bonus figure will be cut in half and then be cumulative to the end of the group stage. It will be cut in half (the final cut) again after the group stage and before the playoffs.

My experience to this point includes just World Lacrosse Championships 3 at this level, and this is an opportunity for me to gain more. No one had any problems raised to me about that competition, and it looks like at least half of the signups right now for the World Bowl were World Lacrosse Championships 3 participants.

Also, a competition in Secristan will create an interesting experience for your fans. Stadium info will be provided if and when I am approved to host. I should also add that I do not have any expected plans or issues that would prevent me from daily and timely scorination during the time period that this will take place.

25 hours left for anyone to counter the hosting bid offered by Secristan. Unlike the World Cup, if there is no counter bid, there will be no vote and Secristan can begin to prepare for hosting, as no one has raised any issues with the bid so far.

Signups are up to date through The Candrian Empire and are still very much open.

Pending extraordinary developments in the coming 25 hours, Norwellia officially endorses Secristan's bid, even though none of Secristan's money-grubbing capitalizt scum would last an hour in our football pubs. ;) This and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee. Prepare for riots regardless of our team's performance, Secri.

No intra-divisional games, please?

If need be for 3 divisions of 6 teams (which would make a 10 game schedule very easy), add Prux....

Prux (in its first offical event as Qazox' puppet) will return to steal the thunder again!

The Eagles/Dolphins will make another attemp to field a football team.

I may have a puppet joining soon, too, if that's OK. (I've never done the World Bowl before, so it may not be.) I've yet to create the puppet, though I plan to do that tonight.

I am absolutely not Norwellia's puppet in any way and will absolutely not join the World Bowl, especially if they happen to need one more nation after all is said and before anything is done.

Norwellia strongly denies Chomsky University's puppetry claim.

Allowance of the Norwellian puppet will depend on the final number of signups. If we need one more to make a nice round number, it will be allowed. Otherwise, I will stick with the precedent of a nation needing to have participated in one World Bowl before they can enter a puppet.

At present we have 20, or 21 with the puppet. 24 is looking good. Let's hit it.

The Candrian Empire puppet of Lucino (please make a post with this nation though) will be accepted to give us 21 nations. The Candrian Empire has participated in several World Bowls to this point. The Norwellian puppet will not be permitted as it is Norwellia's first World Bowl.

This will lead to twelve games, six home and six away for everyone. The official World Bowl 6 thread is on the way.
