What's the scorinator like, and how will RP bonus affect the scores?
Australiah
23-01-2009, 06:43
The scorinator is a program created by Seydur Rahman. You can enter a players stats or leave set them all at a certain skill and over games and seasons the batsmen's stats and bowlers will increase. This scorinator doesn't have a RP bonus so has no effect on the scores.

Ok ur in, the Aussies are playing very ordinary atm i rate em no.3 in the world after india and India in tests. AS for ODI's i think aus are still no.1 or 2nd to india. Duminy is a gun tho, go WARNER some new talent. When can you get ur roster in?

An RP bonus would, I'm sure, earn you more signups.

Is that when teams RP interviews and post matches? I guess i could put some points in for good RP'ing after each round.
Milchama

First, a RP bonus is the point of sports competitions. If no RP bonus then there is no incentive to do match reports and it becomes a very boring tournament.

So yeh do something to get a RP bonus. It doesn't need to be big, just adding a few points for participating and a few more for good participation (long post, funny post, etc.) Reward people who take time out of their probably not so busy lives to write a report.

With that said, I'm in. Baseball players will have a lot of fun trying to understand this cricket thing.

Can I ask how it matters to RP bonus if a team wins/loses/draws?
Australiah
26-01-2009, 04:58
Well if you RP you can pick up 2-4 RPB points as RPB doesn't effect the actual in-game matches, so win lose or draw u can still earn points

If I read your answer right, the RP bonus won't actually affect the scores? How does that work then? That's the point of a bonus. Sorry if I seem like I'm interrogating you, just want to get this cleared up before I commit.
The Archregimancy

Well if you RP you can pick up 2-4 RPB points as RPB doesn't effect the actual in-game matches, so win lose or draw u can still earn points

If I'm reading correctly, I think you might be slightly confused over how an RP bonus operates.

An RP bonus shouldn't typically impact points earned on a tournament table for winning or losing a match, but rather increases a team's chances of winning a match.

For example, if two football/soccer teams are playing each other, and one RPs a lot, and the other doesn't, the RP bonus might increase the RP'ing team's chances of scoring more goals, but would give him any more points than the standard three points for winning the match.

Think of it this way... in a real life cricket tournament, Australia wouldn't get any more points on the table for the newspaper reports written in The Age, the Australian, or the Morning Herald, but it's conceivable that those same media reports might increase team morale and lead to the team scoring more runs (or for their bowlers to perform better - or both).

I hope that makes sense.

i know how they op but i dont have it made in my simulator, in this simulator if players play well there stats grow so there is no real point to have an in-game RPB taht affects scores because players grow in skills.

so when does this all get started?
