LEIN (Garlano) - Today on January 21st 2009, The People's Republic of Garlano officially became a nation. The capital, Lein, which has a population of 1.5 million people, hosted a festival for the ages which featured theatrical entertainment, games, wonderful Garlanian cuisine , and to top it off a majestic firework display that was featured beautifully above Arel Tower (one of the tallest freestanding structures in the world at 1,913 ft. 5 inches). President Daniel Leinad was there to celebrate with his people. "Like a newborn baby taking in his first breath, that wonderful moment is what I compare today to" says the newly placed President. He adds "I hope that after today we can further establish ties with the surrounding African nations, as well as our international brothers". From now on, January 21st will be a national holiday for all civilians, which means a celebration like this will continue year after year.
