It's time to get the World Bowl going again. In World Bowl IV, we had a record 30 nations sign up for the competition. Will we be able to reach that kind of number again? By starting sign-ups now, we'll be looking to start the competition around the actual Super Bowl, which is on Feb. 1st.

Participating in the World Bowl can bring good luck to your favorite NFL team, by the way. In World Bowl IV, the final was Newmanistan vs Dancougar, or and Eagles vs a Steelers fan. We just may see that Super Bowl!

Anyway, sign up here if you would like to participate in World Bowl V. I would strongly like to host this, although other people could counter my bid, as this will probably be the last time real-life allows me to put in the time to host something for quite a while.

Failcon fan. We flamed out in epic fashion...just like our nation in the final 4 of almost every World Bowl. We're back for another round of going 9-1 in the group stage and losing to K-P or Dancougar in the playoffs.

Btw, what's the rule on QB substitutions? In the IFL the rule is a tad different from the NFL, so if we're going by NFL rules I'm going to have to adjust some plays.

We've had teams get by with some odd styles, but normally we follow NFL/NCAA rules regarding important things like subs/penalties. Mainly, just RP it and it'll probably slide.

Well, the reason I asked is because there are a few offensive sets in the IFL with two QBs in various alignments but under center (a la the A11 offense). The rule is generally that if one of the two QBs declared active for the game is pulled for either injury or performance reasons, the third QB is given leave to enter the game on the condition that the pulled QB remains out for the remainder of the game.

Questille (OOC: I don't support any team, because I'm British.) will send their national squad, The Silver Falcons.

Since a couple of players have expressed their RL American football affiliations, I'll just say HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

West Newmanistan will participate. Though a puppet, it will be RP'd normally.

There is a regional story behind this nation being RP'd. To make a long story short, it's a haven for Newmanistanians who want to get away from the rule of the Empress. Now, why I am making things more complicated for myself when in the real world I will get much busier in March, I do not know. But this seemed like a logical step for this country, given the basis of its formation.

Preferably the game itself which can include post-game interviews. But frankly, you can do it however you want.

By using a scorinator, which is a computer program used to generate results using factors such as: Ranking pts, RP, and a couple of other factors.

Signups up to date through Australiah which gives us 25. Let's shoot for 28. Perhaps the gridiron associations of Kosovoe or Green Wombat could re-enter to help reach this number if needed.

Here's the plan:
Monday, Jan 26th- Signups will close.
Wednesday, Jan 28th- Group Draw
(Jan 29-31st will be reserved in case anyone wishes to have exhibition games)
Sunday, Feb 1st- Super Bowl Sunday will also be matchday one.
