The Kingdom of Dancougar makes no secret of the fact that we only marginally understand this thing. Before the tournament, the Sports Ministry read something called Wikipedia to figure out what was going on. Looks like this game's easy enough. Run that way and stop the other guys from running the other way. And also, SCRUUUUUUUUUMMMMMM. Armed with that and pleasant memories of something called Fox Sports World, Dancougar sets forth on its mission to win the rugby league. Er, tournament. Tournament. Right.

The RLWC II Opens With a bang

by Niko Sursinec

Well the long wait has ended. It has been quite a while since the First Cup, and quite a while for each team to brush their skills up.

Last night, following Lurikastan's defeat to Taeshan in the IBC Petkov and Romez rushed back to Salo to get suited up for the opening ceremony, and the rush was worth it as the ceremonies were spectacular with musical performances from all competing nations and a dance routine that left the crowd stunned.

It was then that the teams flew to the cities that they'd be playing in.

OOC: I'll post roster and RP for our first game later, but, just a note... Wtf are there so many drop goals for?! You would be lucky to get any more than three in a world cup and maybe 10ish in a whole NRL season..

[Equally OOC: These breakdowns are Rugby Union scores - not League.

Example - we scored 24:

Union:
3 tries =15
2 penalties =6
1 drop-goal=3
Total: 24

League:
3 tries =12
2 penalties =4
1 drop-goal =1
Total:17

It might be safer just to do the scores and leave the details to RPers to decide.]

(OOC: You're also spitting out rugby UNION scores, not league. League is 4 points for a try and two for a conversion or penalty, one per drop kick. Union is 5 fo ra try, two for a conversion, and 3 for a penalty or drop kick, which is what you've got.)

CRAIG: Welcome back to The Scrum, your rugby newsmagazine here on DSPN Sportscenter, and Jack, not a lot of rugby to be found in Dancougar. Ah, but there's a first time for everything, and in Lurikastan, a team came together to take on Lovisa in their Group B opener. Now, a lot of these guys are used to American football, and it showed a little early. There's a pass from Notto to McKimley, but it's going forward!

JACK: Wings didn't have too many problems getting the tackles, picking up on some of those nuances of the game, but moving the ball proved a little difficult in the early going.

CRAIG: Then, this looks more like it. Twenty meters out, here's the run. Houston straight up the middle, blows through a gap, and dragged down, WHOOOOP, Staufenberger for a few steps, wrapped up, WHOOOOP, to Notto, and then, WHOOOOP, it's rugby, you're supposed to lateral the ball everywhere! Finds its way to the outside to McKimley, to Kincannon, and he sticks the ball in the goal area, that's four points, Jack!

JACK: But the bad angle for the conversion, he was all the way to the right side, and that'll get pulled to the left.

CRAIG: So the Wings lead 4-0. Later in the game, it's 6-4 Dancougar, and Lovisa forced to kick it away after a fifth tackle. Fielded by Helmcamp, a few steps, tries to get it back to Ostergard but he's hit as he laterals, behind the man, IT~SA~FUM~BOWL! Look at the run, Lovisa are going to recover this guy and take it for four, and downs it right between the posts for an easy conversion. It's 10-6.

JACK: And that's just inexperience at the back. You've got to be ready for those bad balls when you're under pressure, and if your Ostergard, you want to field this cleanly and probably kick it away.

CRAIG: Time for the Wings, though, and in the second half, you know what they say... try, try again! It's Staufenberger, fighting through tackles, and he's going to put it down just to the left of the post. 12-10 after the conversion, and the Wings are in business, just a few minutes to go. Interesting decision now with two minutes to play, the Wings are about fifteen meters away, when Notto fires it back to Killary, who... doink! Drop kick, it's good, it's a three-point game! You don't see that, Tom.

JACK: Yeah, the drop kick, tough to convert but the Wings set it up beautifully here, and now they've got some breathing room. Lovisa need a try.

CRAIG: They don't get it, so it's a victorious debut for the Dancougar Rugby Black Wings. 13-10 over Lovisa!

Sortherners lose RLWC opener

Sorthern Rugby League fans last night were left to ruing an early mistake as they crashed to defeat in the opening round of the second Rugby League World Cup. Up against newcomers, Peisandros, the Sorthern team were quietly confident of getting off to a good start. Whether or not anyone had banked on Peisandros being a nation that is also quite keen on Rugby League though remains unclear, with head coach, Mike Genehn taking blame for the defeat saying, “The fact is that I didn't prepare the players well enough. We don't look into Peisandros enough to find their strong points and weaknesses and as such we were unable to exploit them where they're weak. I and my coaching team have taken that on board and we'll be sure not to underestimate Kemball Island, if we do, we might as well go home.”

The opening ten minutes of the game however didn't point to Peisandros coming out on top, an early try after just five minutes from Stewart Stokes who found himself on a end of a deep quick from Geoffrey McNamara was easily converted by Maliele Mofihli, with another try coming just minutes later from Kevin Kimble, this time unconverted to put the Sortherners into a ten point lead. The turning point came around ten minutes later on the twenty minute mark, with three tackles left Kimble was once again set free by a pass from Joel Manning. With the defence spilt by the pass, Kimble had what looked like a simple run in to score the try. Somehow though he contrived to knock the ball on handing possession over. From that mistake Peisandros went and scored and converted a try up the other end, a try that seemed to evaporate all Sorthern confidence. From then on in Peisandros had little trouble controlling the game with a number of handling errors holding Sorthern Northland back. In truth Peisandros probably should have scored more than the eighteen points that they did. For Sorthern Northland, although still early days, an uphill struggle to win the World Cup seemingly awaits for them.

Fans view

John, from Beningrad: “I was very disappointed by our performance. We looked disjointed and seemed to have absolutely no confidence after Kimble screwed up that chance. I can't see us winning the World Cup without a big improvement.”

Sean, from New Ireland: “Were we that bad? No, I think it was more a case of Peisandros being far better than us. They looked more skilful than our players and better equipped to play at this level. I'm sure will get better as the tournament progresses though.”

Liam, from Heathfield: “I'd say there is a distinct lack of Dallas family members at this tournament. I'd bought a whole load of pistachios with me to throw at them and I've not seen a single one yet. Still I suppose with Jeruselem not being in this, it isn't much of a surprise.”

Brett, from Little Clotaire, “I only really came here to try out some Lurikastani beer and I have to say I'm disappointed. They only seem to have water here. The rugby match was pretty decent mind, shame we lost, but there ya go.”

Maxwell, from Snowspire: “We sent out completely the wrong team today. Stanislav Volkov is waaaay better than Maliele Mofihli. We'd have easily won the game if Stan had played. By at least thirty points.”

Kevin, from Woobine: “That Maxwell is an eejit. Did he actually watch the game? Maliele was our best player while Volkov did fack all but run around like a headless Bostopian when he came on for the last quarter of an hour.”

Taeshan 11-8 Kemball Island

Kemball Island slumped to a disappointing defeat against Taeshan on the opening day of the Rugby League World Cup in the sides first defeat since April 2008. Kemball Island lead 6-4 at the break after a try from Chapman and a Newman penalty, and could easily hae been further ahead. However, in the second half Taesha upped their game dramatically, going 10-6 up within just 10 minutes before Newman scored another penalty to put his side back in the match. From then on, Kemball Island were unable to break down the solid and reliable Tashan defence, whilst sin binings for Yekini and Walsh hardly helped, and late on in the match Taeshan took adantage of the 11 men to snatch a late drop goal to take victory.

Kemball Island ratings: White 7, Issa 5 (Quinn 6), Williams 6, Yekini 5, Newman 8, O'Connor 6, Wilson 5, Khan 5, McVeigh 7, Thompson 6, Walsh 6, Hughes 7, Chapman 6

Lurikastan wins, now in third

by Niko Surisnec

The start to this tournament couldn't have been much better for our boys as Lurikastan thundered on to the field in front of a cheering home crowd. With the crowd on their side Lurikastan started out early getting a drop in the early minutes. Later on after minutes of no scoring and the half drawing ever closer a try was scored.

Score at the half 5-0.

With the first half behind them Lurikastan took to the field for the second half. However, the second half wasn't the same story as Draistania quickly put up three conversions. Leaving the score at 6-5. It took a last minute Conversion to put Lurikastan in the lead and in the Win at 9-8

Today Lurikastan faces Peisandros in a highly touted matchup, that might have big effects on the group table. This match will be played at 14:00 LST @ the Old Taffyshire Rugby Grounds in Taffyshire.

The Yorozuya wins big in first international over Alversia 21-9

by Ju-san
A Rugby Columnist with Anger Issues

It was a day to remember in downtown as The Yorozuya stuck it to those weak Alaversians. Who didn't have a puny chance as they squandered without reason about the field. Scoring only 9 points off of 4 penaltys and one drop. Meanwhile, we tore them up and won 21-9.

Today we will crush Dancougar just like we did Alaversia @ the Radeon Bowl in Stromgarde

CRAIG: Craig Boomer here on The Scrum, alongside Jack Thompson. Jack, rugby is, like most team sports, a game of positions and of strategy. Players have roles, and you win when everyone works together to get the job done. BUT! But... what do you do against a team like The Yorozuya, whose name suggests a roster of players who can do a little bit of everything? To the Radeon Bowl we go, and listen to Dave Notto before this one...

(locker room clip!)
DAVE: They're a confident team, but this Ju-san guy has gotta hope his boys can back it up. We're getting the hang of this and we'll just pound it if they let us.

(back to the highlight!)
CRAIG: All right, so Notto responds to a little bulletin-board material, but you gotta wonder, the Wings are new to this. Are they in a position to be talking smack? Battle for possession early in the game, but the Wing get the breakthrough. And Notto makes good on his promise, right up the gap and blows up George Johnson, gang-tackled twenty five meters out. Later in this drive, we go left side! Staufenberger, mein cup runneth into the goal area! Down goes the ball, up goes the conversion, and Dancougar leads 6-0. Later in the half, after a Dancougar penalty cuts the lead to 6-2, here's a burst of speed from Van Overson through the middle. Sets up his line and now he goes right to McKinley. Inside to Houston! It's a try, it's up, and it's 12-2, Wings in control.

JACK: And this is just some nice movement from the Wings. When it looks like they'll just go outside and to the right, here's Phil Houston on a diagonal run, bringing it back to the middle of the field and catching the Yorozoya defensive line off guard.

CRAIG: They'd make it 12-3, though, last play of the half, the Yorozoya make the drop kick just to get on the board before the last whistle. Still just a two score game, but then... the battle for field position. We see some great tackling here. Look at Cliff Helmcamp force the turnover deep in the Dancougar end, denies Yorozuya a chance to put some points on the board. And that sets up this... they're going to try that left side again. Staufenberger to the substitute, Mike McFalls, and he's gonna mc-fall into the goal area for four points, and the kick seals the deal for Dancougar. Two games, two wins in their first foray into rugby league. A comprehensive win, Jack, 18-3.

JACK: They were able to put points on the board, but more importantly, they were able to put that Yorozuya attack on ice. They were able to make big tackles down inside the twenty and keep the ball from escaping to the outside.

So, we got our first win under our belts and it was fairly comfortable. Kemball Island did score late on, but until then we didn't feel at all troubled by them. Stewie Stokes ran the wing well today and fully deserved his two tries. He really is a great player. And he has fantastic pace as well as football. Give him the ball and we know he'll get somewhere with it.

We've been in Lurikastan a couple of weeks now and it really is a varied country. The rolling hills in the south are wonderful and the climate down there is perfect for playing rugby. Not so sure about the north though. We spent a couple of days up there preparing for the tournament and it was bloody cold. Ground was rock solid as well, which isn't too good when you're trying to play rugby.

A lot of fans have been coming up to me asking if we can win this, and every time my answer is the same. "Yeah, of course." At the last World Cup, we let everyone down and were hugely disappointed to go out in the group stage. Especially as we were playing at home. This time out though we're determined to prove any doubters that we are one of the best in the world at league. In some ways playing abroad also helps. Whilst playing at home in the last World Cup was a great experience, it also put a lot of pressure on us. This time, with it being abroad there is less of that, with less intensity from the media, and more privacy for us at training and when we resting, which helps a lot. Next up we play the hosts of this tournament, and they've got off to a great start and will be a big challenge. However they'll be under the pressures we were last time, and we know effect that can have.

Fabio Rigoni, is a winger in the Sorthern rugby league national team, and for the duration of the second Rugby League World Cup, he will be writing exclusively for the Sorthern Rugby Paper.

Southern Northland 14-6 Kemball Island
Pressure mounts as KI slump to defeat

Kemball Island were completley outplayed yesterday as they slumped to te bottom of Group A folowing defeat against Southern Northland. Northland dominated the match throughout, and were heading for a very comfortable victory before a late try by Nelson Zuba on his international debut gae the Islanders an outside chance of victory. It was not deserved. Northland dominated from the start, with Stewie Stokes in particluar dominant against a lacklustre KI defence. Northland effectiley ended the match at half-time after pulling out into a comfortable 6-0 lead. Although Kemball Island manged to salvage something with a Ben Newman penalty, Northland scored 2 tries to extend their lead to 14-2. Only the fact Nortlad seemed to be resting fro the next match prevented them from extending the scoreline, and Zuba's try gave Kemball Island an undeserved lifeline. By then it colud easily have been 32-2.

Kemball Isalnd Ratings: White 5 (West 4), Quinn 3 (Issa 6), Williams 6, Yekini 5, Newman 5, O'Connor 7, Wilson 4 (Garside 6), Khan 4, Kelly 6, Thompson 4, Walsh 6, Hughes 5, Chapman 5 (Zuba 5)

Lurikastan draws Pesiandros now #2

by Gerry Cooper

It was a match that everybody expected Lurikastan to win, but they diddn't as they exited and disappointed the crowd in Taffyshire. Drawing at 11-11. The game started out great for Peisandros as they leaped to a 9-3 lead at the half. this lit the fire in Jim-San's eyes as he gave a speech like no other. From what we heard he said this "What you did out there is child's play. A high-school team could trounce us. Now I remember when we were in Sorthern we were the underdogs. I remember having to use wikipedia to figure out what we were doing. I remember us all learning how to play. Through the rain mud in cold. But it payed off, and we got third. Now were just playin it easy because were the best team here (Docky and Kjo did not return for #2). Well I want you to go out there and play like you'll never play again. This fired up the team and they roared out on to the field. In the second they scored 2 Conversions. Both of them very quickly. Putting the score at 11-9. it only took a Peisandrosian try to knot up the score to its final of 11-11. Better than nothing, but not that great.

Next Lurikastan will play Sorthern Northland in a battle of of the hosts. Old verses New it's billed. It will be played infront of a sellout crowd in the Golden Greens in Salo.

Kura-Pelland
15-01-2009, 00:50
Kura-Pelland's 13s* side made an awkward start to their World Cup ambitions, stuttering to a 24-6 defeat to West Zirconia. Their next match was against Lovisa, the soccer team's bogey opposition, and in a low-scoring contest in difficult conditions a last-gasp drop-goal attempt from Tam Culsden hit the post to deny Kura-Pelland victory, the game finishing 8-8 after Lovisa had taken an early lead with a converted try before Kura-Pelland struck back with two unconverted tries in the corner from speedy winger Mark Nemath.

Nemath was on fine form against Alversia in what was otherwise another tightly-fought contest, scoring two more tries (one converted this time) to give Kura-Pelland a 10-0 lead at half-time. Alversia struck back with a converted try and a penalty put them within two, but a drop-goal from Culsden with four minutes left provided some breathing space and Alversia's late efforts to win the game were resisted. The Yorozuya - a puppet of hosts Lurikastan - and table-topping Dancougar remain as opponents, and defeating the former is critical.

* Kura-Pelland refer to League as '13s' and Union as '15s', reflecting the difference in the number of players on the field without carrying the baggage of the sport's origins. Similarly, American football - which both 13s and 15s labour in the shadow of in Kura-Pelland - is referred to as 'gridiron'.

OOC: I'd be quite happy to do a scorinator for RLWCIII

CRAIG: The Scrum continues, off we go to Old "Salt Water" Taffyshire to take on Group B leaders West Zirconia. Dave Notto fired up before the game, and down on the bench... Mike McFalls waiting for another shot at the goal area. Would he get back? Let's go, first half. Staufenberger tries to pound his way through, but he gets stood up by Paul Frost... loses the rugball! The Zirconians pounce but have to kick it away, but Jack, this one was close early.

JACK: And you're going to watch this play again, Staufenberger thought he saw a gap and tried to get through, but he's not able to hit it fast enough. He's wrapped up and tries to pass it off too late. It squirts out of there, Zirconia ball.

CRAIG: Zirconians score first, long run by Chris Ireland, passes it off as he crashes into Cozzi, and now they've overloaded that side. Leaves it off for "My Cousin" Vinnie Stone! And Stone takes it in for the try, that makes it 6-0. Wings strike right back. Watch this punt from Sean Cozzi... this is a thing of beauty right here. Forty-twenty rule, Wings get the scrum deep in West Zirconia territory, and it leads to this... McKimley, back inside! You say Kin~can~non...

JACK: ... I say Kin~cay~non...

CRAIG: ... We all say, try. Darren Kincannon puts it in, the conversion would miss from the bad angle, so it's 6-4. But the Wings regain the edge before halftime, as McKimley punches it, so it's 10-6. 10-8 now after Joe Phillips makes a penalty kick for the Zirconians, but Dancougar would pull away. Field position, Jack, the Wings were keeping them pinned back.

JACK: When you've got a long field, it's so hard to put points on the board. The Wings were just biding their time and just running it up the gut to wear those West Zirconian backs down.

CRAIG: The decisive score comes with ten minutes left in the game, and it's the right side of the field again. McKinley to Kincannon, and down goes the ball. It's four points; tack on the two for the conversion. So the Wings win their third in a row, as the Dancougar... Rugby League Black Wings... double up West Zirconia 16-8! And you have to like their chances, Jack.

JACK: Absolutely, they should be able to beat Alversia. Kura-Pelland could be a challenge, we're looking forward to a good one there.

A Sell out crowd watches as Lurikastan edges out Sorthern

by Jim Pulowski

A sellout crowd jammed into the Golden Greens to watch as Lurikastan and Sorthern Northland, and they weren't the only ones as 1.1 billion Lurikastani's watched the game on TV, and were not even getting to the tri-national area or the Texan mainland. With all of those prople watching the game would have to be good, and it was. The first points of the game were a Sorthern Try. Lurikastan quickly answered back with a try of their own. The rest of the half was pretty much deadlocked. With the only scoring being a conversion for Lurikastan. The score at the half was 6-4.

The second half was another good one with Sorthern striking first with a try. Which was followed by a bad offensive for Lurikastan who soon let up a conversion to Sorthern. The score was at 10-8. Lurikastan then was transformed into a pack of vicious animals and put up two trys in the late game to put the score at its final resting place of 16-10. After the win the crowd stormed the field victoriously. It seemd as it was the finals and Lurikastan had won.

Next Lurikastan will play Kemball Island @ the Allapistadio in Bergamo.

Dancougar
16-01-2009, 01:52
CRAIG: Dancougar comes into the game as one of the best-looking teams so far, and they look to keep it up against Alversia. We'll jump right into the action here on The Scrum. First half action, and the key to Dancougar's success so far has been the fast start. Score early! But Alversia kept them in check. Dave Notto tries to bring it up, but brought down ten meters away. All right, Overson is waiting for it, punches the line, down he goes. Now, the Wings have a few options after the fifth tackle, and they choose to... pound it again through Houston. Jack, it's a turnover.

JACK: Yeah, but I think it's a good decision, you want to pin the Alversians deep into their own end, and that's what this does for you. I don't like the decision to try the short run through the middle, maybe they were hoping for a penalty. Alversia can't advance the ball too far, and the Wings start from about midfield on the next possession.

CRAIG: Dancougar would dominate the field position battle, average starting position was their own 45... Alversia, their own 15! But the Wings were only able to convert a penalty before halftime, and Alversia did the same on a rare long run from them, so that made it 2-2 with everything to play for. Second half, brand new ballgame. The Black Wings make the adjustments! Six minutes after the restart, and here's the right side... Overson finds McKimley, who fakes the give to Kincannon and takes it himself! Shoots the gap and is just able to get the ball down in the goal area. This was a close call, but it turns into six.

JACK: And watch where his knees go down, he's got his hands across the plane on the way down, and he sticks the ball, right there, just before the tackle's finished. Good call on the field, the replay held up, and the conversion makes it 8-2.

CRAIG: Alversia didn't have much going for them on the ground, but they were able to get off some good punts that kept the Wings from extending that advantage. But look at the hard work by Tom Staufenberger, he's carrying people inside the Alversia 20-meter line! Houston picks it up and pounds the middle again, and after the beating they took in the first half, the Alversian backs are tired. A little give, and Houston sends it back to the left. Notto, to Dempsey, and there's your ballgame. Into the goal area and he's even going to run it back towards the middle of the field. That's awareness, that's two points off the conversion, and that's Dancougar taking this one 14-2. Getting it done with that running game, but how about the defense, Jack?

JACK: We don't call them nearly enough, these Dancougar backs, but they're doing a great job. That's only 13 points they've given up, now, in the last three games. Helmcamp and Cozzi have been playing phenomenally, making tackles and keeping those runs from going outside. It's hard to get a free run at goal if you can't get to the outside.

CRAIG: All right, so the one match remaining in the group stage will be against Kura-Pelland, who got off to a pretty slow start. Only two points today against The Yorozuya, but the Wings shouldn't lighten up the approach at all knowing the knockout stage isn't far away. But even at this crucial time, politics and plans are in the way. Right now, some important news from the Dancougar Sports Ministry - they're having one of their occasional coaching seminars and all are invited, and that includes the staff of the rugby team. So they'll be out of the picture for the next four, maybe five days, while the team soldiers on without them.

JACK: And they've done well so far, but in a tournament like this, the absence of leadership can be critical.

CRAIG: The seminar series will be held in someplace called Baltimore starting tomorrow; we'll keep you updated on Dancougar's progress as much as possible.

Peisandros roster for RLWC2.. Well, not really.

After a time of ambiguity, the Peisandros Nothing-To-See-Here,Move-Along Association has finally released a document to other league playing nations with a few details on who they are facing.

You see rugby league is illegal in Peisandros. It's not just one of those silly laws everyone forgot about, oh no. It is actively policed with identified league players sentenced to lengthy prison terms.

The only way a team is able to be formed is interesting. Over 160 years ago, league was legal. There was a large number of players of varying skill spread throughout the country, but there were games and local competitions.

However families with league players faced much hardship when the law was introduced so many moved to the countryside or changed their family names. It is here where we find the special nature of league in Peisandros. League is like a trait, a hereditary feature. If a male is born in to a league family, then he is a league player, and so there exists a secret community in Peisandros. They were smuggled out of the country on boats this year and have had no time playing together.

The captain of the team is from somewhere in the countryside between Olympia and Delphi. He is the hooker and a fierce leader. It is believed his first name is John or it could be Gerard.

Fullback of the team is a 13yr old from the west of Peisandros. He was selected, apparently, because his family descended from the man who brought the game in Peisandros all those years ago.

As the tournament continues, more information may be realised.

Personally I favour that if someone has the ability and the tools to host the event, then they should go ahead and do so if they wish. If more than one person wants to host a tournament at around the same time then obviously somehow it will need to be decided who does host. This could be either through the relevant parties coming to an agreement between themselves, or a vote. For a vote I think it is worth noting that in the last Union World Cup there were only three votes to decide the hosts.

Also when nations do want to host and submit a bid, whilst it does add more of a picture to include in character details such as the venues, they quite frankly are unnecessary. What is necessary though is the out of character details. Such as how the games are going to be scored, an idea of RP bonus, whether results from previous tournaments will have any impact (speaking of which, when I get my laptop back, I do plan on doing some rankings using the results of RLWC's 1 and 2). For me, it is who I feel is best prepared and equipped to do the ooc stuff rather than who's got the neatest ic stuff that would make my mind up on who should host a tournament.

sure greg.

SCORINATION:
OVERVIEW OF METHOD:
The scorinator I will use is a homemade spreadsheet that generates accurate international level rugby league results. It randomly produces a number inbetween 1 and 4, which is then times by 4, giving the amount of tries scored. Then, a number is produced between 1 and the number of tries scored, then times by 2 for conversions. A third number between -3 and 3 is drawn and times by 2 for penalty goals (if a negative number or 0 is drawn, no penalty goals successful or awarded, your choice of which in RP). This number set is then reused for drop goals (same as pen goals, if negative number is or 0 drawn, then no dg’s successful or attempted, your choice in RP)

ROLEPLAYING, AND IT EFFECT ON RESULTS:
Roleplaying, or RP for short, is when the participating nations write reports about what is happening with their team. When you RP once a day, you receive +1 RP Bonus. If you RP a second time that same day (e.g. a post game wrap-up) you receive a + ½ point bonus. If you RP for a third time that same day (ooc: and I don’t see why you would want to!), you will receive a +¼ point bonus. Anymore RP’s will not be awarded.

Cut-off for RP will be a half hour before “kick-off”. Any RP’s after Cut-off and before Kick-off will result in:
• 1st time: warned privately via TG
• 2nd time: -½ RP Bonus, informed privately via TG
• 3rd time: -100% RP Bonus, informed publicly and via TG.
This sets a “3 strikes, you’re out” warning system which I believe is fair.

When it comes down to “Crunch-Time” and scores are distributed, the team with the higher RP Bonus will win, except for first round results, which will be decided on previous experience levels (e.g. if Lurikastan were to return to defend their title, they could not possibly lose the first game, as they are current world champions)

Every other round will be decided on this basis:
1. RP Bonus. If tied, then
2. Results against another team they have both played. If no results available, then,
3. World rankings. If both teams Unranked, then
4. Toss of coin. Neither team will be asked what side they would prefer. Heads will always go to 1st team named eg (KJO V SNorth = KJO = Heads, SNorth = Tails)
