Hi, I just need some help getting this through, please support.

WA Gun ID Act

Members of the World Assembly

REALIZING that almost anybody can get their hands on a weapon in the world, the chance of someone to accidentally sell a gun to the wrong hands,

NOTICING that many people die each year from random shootings;

CONDEMNING the lives lost and may be lost to random shootings;

RECOGNIZING that not only gun wielders are harmed, but non-combatants as well;

PREVENTING more random acts of violence with a legal weapon within all members of the World Assembly;

This new system is made based upon a central hub based within the WA, keeping track of all weapons. Every citizen who owns a gun(s)must have their guns registered at their local capital building.

DEFINES:
1) All weapons that are not registered as illegal and to be immediately locked down (more specific, the computer will put a permanent safety lock on the weapon until registered).

2) Any gun operational that is not registered will be marked with a beacon and sends a radar ping to local police.

3) Any gun used for military service to be registered before being given to the recipient.

REQUIRES:
1) All WA members to enforce this law if this proposal is accepted.

2) All WA members to open a registry stand in their central government building.

3) All citizens whose guns are being registered must be at least 18 years of age.

4) All citizens with a criminal record to have a reasonable fine on their registry.

This proposal hereby BANS WA members from from shipping illegally modified unregistered guns, this applies to WA members and delegates alike.

This proposal CONDEMNS the use of terrorism by any member state of the WA.

This isn't the right forum for this. There is a separate forum for WA proposals, where you increase your chances of finding support about 1000-times great then you will here.

And while I'm on the topic, I would not accept your proposal. Setting an "18 years of age" minimum is a sensitive topic. In Newmanistan for example, the age of majority is 16. I would eliminate that clause or phrase it without a specific age number. Newmanistan is also an Empire. You want all citizens wanting a gun to have to go to the Royal Palace? I don't think so. I would think having having many branches throughout the nation would be far more constructive. (this is constructive criticism, not me wanting an argument).

All guns are going to be marked with a beacon? Who is going to fund this ridiculous expense? Certainly not the government and you're asking manufactures to have to add a significant expense. A computer puts a safety lock on a gun? This is sounding really expensive. And really really pointless. What about legally registered guns that fall into the wrong hands either through sale (because hey, with your system the bad guys are going to pony up the money targetting innocent civilians who may be struggling to make ends meet to get them a gun, and if a civilian refuses, it may not end well for them, thus creating a crime that may not have happened before), or through theft. Or simply through an originally nice person suddenly having a mental breakdown when they were laid off from a job.

Too much expense, and it's not going to solve anything. Unrealistic.

(Plus I also don't believe that gun registration makes a big deal in cutting crime, the black market is insane for guns; but that's another issue)
