Ladies and gentlemen, Krytenia and Rennidan proudly present their bid for the forty-fourth edition of NationStates’ premier sporting tournament. A bid that we hope will help to ensure the future of the NSWC for many editions to come. On the one side, we have Krytenia, bidding to become only the second nation to host four World Cups (after the UCS); on the other, Rennidan, who are taking their first steps into hosting an international football tournament and representing the future of the World Cup.

With the fresh challenge of the NS2 World Cup looming, it is more important than ever that we remember and uphold the core values of the NationStates World Cup:

Bid Details

SCORINATOR/MODIFIERS
NSFS 2.0.7 using the parameters from World Cup 40. Modifiers will be -2 to +2, with fractions allowed to two decimal places.

RP BONUS
RPs will be read and scored subjectively by us, and will earn a bonus of up to 0.3 KPB points per matchday. This total is cumulative, and is based on the following criteria:
Entertainment – Creativity – Humour – Variation – Storylines – Rivalries – Interaction – Use of Information –Good English
In addition, posting a roster will score anything up to 0.5 KPB points, depending on level of depth and detail.

QUALIFYING/FINALS FORMAT
The format will be groups of an as yet undecided size (depending on numbers), with playoffs. A start date is provisionally set as early January 2009, so as to avoid the inevitable holiday season lull. We’ll also keep the signups open till at least the end of the BoF, for the same reason. Finals will be as before, with the Final itself being held in Rennidan.

CONCLUSION
We’d like to see a rival bid (competition = teh g00d), but if not, we’d like to assure you the tournament’s future is in safe hands.

Given that there's now a competing bid (which I really didn't expect!), your even-handed and fair-minded WCC president withdraws his explicit endorsement of this bid - not because I think the other one's better, but because I don't want to seem to be favouring one bid over the other.

I'm entirely neutral over the bidding process.
