This is a tentative interest/signup thread for the 2nd World Championship in (Field) Hockey [or, if you're old enough to remember, Field Hockey World Cup 14].

Field Hockey World Cup 13 (or the first World Championship in Hockey) can be found here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=546732); the defending champions are Candelaria And Marquez.

Please register your interest if you wish to take part, and if more than 16 teams voice their interest, I'll be happy for it to go ahead.

I'm new, and not too sure of the rules, but I played Hockey at school, and quite enjoyed running around with a big stick, so I might enjoy participating - however I must apologise in advance, because South Wickland hockey players are encouraged to play in a quite brutal fashion - it's a blood sport in my country, so they will probably get in to trouble with the international ruling body...

That's ten signups (not counting Kjomasasopia), and since we obviously aren't going to be getting too many more this is one final bump.

Signups will be closed Dec 7.

I've never played but do enjoy watching....

What the heck, we'll give it a shot.

Is it too late to join? We have a mandatory government programme that all people aged 21 must attend evening classes to improve their hockey-playing abilities, but we actually forgot all about the policy and didn't bother to enter any competitions. It's a good job I checked my inter-Governmental e-mail tonight.

Fl=Fl would be totally down if we knew how this actually worked and were allowed a late sign-in. Our underwater merriment resorts have frozen over and the remoras have taken to playing hockey during our disciplinary staff shift changes.

Lurikastan is in. Rainere and Cruitberg have not signed in since last check (FL=FL signed in 4 days ago), so have been dropped. This makes 13 teams and so this is one last desperate bump to avoid a horrible number of teams to work with.
