For the last few months suspicious stadiums have been built in Sorthern Northland, with no one sure why. Now though the truth has been revealed. Sorthern Northland has been preparing host a Rugby League (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_League) World Cup.

Hosting

I shall host the tournament. To do this I shall be using a scorinator provided by Starblaydia for Rugby Union which has been modified slightly to churn out Rugby League scores instead.

Format

Until we have a definitive number of sign ups obviously I can't say 100% what the format will be. Judging by the previous Rugby (union) World Cup, eight would be a realistic number of sign ups to aim for. Format will probably be a group stage followed by knockouts. For example with eight sign ups it'd be two groups of four, with the top two in each group going into the semis and then the final.

Scoring

As already stated scorination will be done with a scorinator made by Star which I've changed slightly so it gives out Rugby League scores. RP will play a significant part in determining the outcome. Scores will probably be posted up every two days sometime in the evening (British time).

So I think that's everything covered, if I've missed anything ask away, and if you want to take part then sign up.

We bring you the end of a recent sports ministry meeting.

Andrew Wood: Hmm hasn't been too good for out sports teams of late, our football team were unimpressive at the Qazox cup and our Lacrosse team went from 2nd to 4th, hmm we need a new sport to encourage the workers.

Barry: Well our table tennis stars won their first round games.

Larry: Yes but that's table tennis, that's just a couple of individuals we need a team sport, preferably one that not a lot of people play.

Harry: Yeah then we can come 2nd like we did in Lacrosse.

Garry: Well I heard something about a rugby league tournament starting.

Carry: Lots of nations play rugby though.

Parry: But aren't there too codes of rugby?

Xarry: Yeah I heard there's union that lots of nations play and league that only a few nations play.

Quarry: Well why don't we try out for league.

Larry: Yeah maybe we will be good at that.

Warry: Ok I'll get the researchers on the case.

Andrew Wood: Then its decided we will send a team to this rugby league competition. All we need is a manager and some players preferably with some experience.

Tarry: Well I played some at school, I'm sure I can research it and manage the team.

Andrew Wood: Well volunteered Tarry, you have um as long as the organisers give you to get a team together and knock them into shape.

The signup of Kjomasasopia brings us up to eight which is the minimum number I was waiting on before starting. I'll leave this up for a couple more days in case anyone else want to join.

Alversia will send a team to the Rugby League world cup...despite preferring Rugby union :p
