The Imperial Football Association of Daehanjeiguk (the Great Han Empire) wishes to invite those countries that adhere to the following requirements in a new football tournament in the Empire proper. The purpose of this tournament is to bring together the history and heritage of worldwide ethnic Han peoples, to include the commonly called peoples of "Korea", "China", and the "Philippines". For this reason, the Imperial Football Association feels it is most appropriate for the home Empire to host this tournament to bring back the descendants of those many progenitors of the ethnic Han abroad. By hosting this tournament, we wish to test the bonds of familial strength and learn of the fate of our brothers and sisters abroad, and to forge a new friendship with those countries that host these populations. It is with great pleasure that the IFA announces the Seventh Oriental Football Cup.

Countries wishing to participate in the Tournament must satisfy the following requirements:


The country must be recognized by the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs; OR
The country must have a sizable population of ethnic Han (Korean/Mandarin/Cantonese/Chinese/Filipino), whose heritage has in some part contributed to the country's modern establishment; OR
The country must have a significant population of ethnicities considered to possess a heritage closely tied to ethnic Han heritage (Japanese/Vietnamese/Thai/Malay/Mongolian), whose heritage has in some part contributed to the country's modern establishment; OR
The country must have declared its official languages to be the same as those of the Empire (Korean/Chinese); OR
The country must have been at one time a protectorate or tributary state of the Empire in its history.


Those countries wishing to participate must supply proof of the requirements established.

Matches will be held in Emperor Gojong Football Stadium in Hangyeong, with neighboring stadiums also open to the competition if the volume proves too much for one stadium to handle. The minimum number of teams required to play is set at 4, although no maximum has been established yet.

Cafundéu wishes to return, using mostly Japanese descendants, but also reserving places for the Korean and Chinese ones.

Myedvedeya will send a team made up mostly from ethnically Chinese Myedvedeyans

FIRST PHASE RESULTS LEAVE FANS SUSPICIOUS

With the same team that played the last edition of this competition, the Cafundelenses were unable to repeat the same good performance of that time. In the first stage of the seventh edition of the Oriental Football Cup, Cafundéu was able to win only one of the three games played. This game was exactly the first one to be played, then the team lost twice. Surely these results weren't being expected by the coach Sérgio Miroda, and the players are underperforming.

In the first game, the team won, but was far from repeating the same efficiency of when they finish the OFC in second. The opponent was Starblaydia, and the Oriental Monopolists had to work hard to overcome their mistakes and win the game by the result of 3x2. Goal scorers were Nakombi, Hugo and Furacão. In the second game, a disappointing loss against Myedvedeya by the result of 3x1, and the third game gave them another loss, this time a 4x2 against the hosts.

But, as no one was eliminated in this stage of the competition, Cafundéu continues, and has to defeat Taeshan in the quarterfinals. They played better than us in the group stage, but maybe this is the time for the Oriental Monopolists to finally improve and return playing quality football. They have the ability to do this, and they can win games if they explore their full potential. The game against Taeshan will be decisive to see if this team can really fight for the title.

Myedvedeya Releases OFC Roster

Due to the fact that Myedvedeya's "A" team is playing in the Baptism of Fire in Cafundeu right now, the team that is being sent to this tournament is literally the first 11 people off the street the football association found in Myedvedeya's Chinese district. Since the Kamchatka Grizzly Bears title is in use by the "A" team, they will be known as the Panda Bears. (大熊猫）

COACH: 柯爱德－ a 46- year old banker, he was found watching the Myededeyan "A" squad play against Colbourne in a bar. He seemed to know what he was talking about.

FORWARDS:

傅雷－ A 19-year old deliveryman. Looked fit as he rode his bike to deliver a pizza.

Vasislav Markov－ 25 years old, businessman. Was out with his family when the sports association got to him.

李国加－ A 14-year old kid, was found playing soccer in the street, along with two of his now-teammates.

MIDFIELD:

白慕如－ Another 14 year old street soccer player.

伍明利－A 38 year old shopkeeper. Was idly juggling an empty milk carton, and looked skillful.

孔杰－ The last of the street soccer players, and the oldest at age 16.

DEFENSE:

Slava Karolsky- The Kicker from the Myedvedeyan American Football team, wanted to participate in another sporting event of some kind while waiting for WBIV. Constantly Inebriated.

李刀绝－ A 45-ish homeless man, wanted to come for some excitement.

戴恺鳖－ A 23- year old, and the only actual professional soccer player on the team.

李骆－ A Middle-Aged Schoolteacher, plays for the fun of it.

KEEPER：

傅震－ A chef, was told that he was coming to cater for a party.

These men will face Sokojito and Sokojawa tonight, after fighting their way to a 1-1-1 record in the group phase, including a surprising victory over Cafundeu. The game will be broadcast immediately following the BoF match against Tanah Tinggi.

OFC Elimination Time!

Yes, with only 4 teams having submitted players by the end of the First Round, and the rest of them apparently picking out random people to play in the tournament, it seems that the OFC might be in serious decline. OFC Coordinator and IFA Chairman Jeong Mongjun was a little optimistic about the prospects for the OFC - "I think we'll have enough interest to get us through this one, but as to future tournaments, we're spending a lot of money to get a world class tournament and no one's sending even recognizable players (ignores Sorthern Northland and Cafundeu, and maybe Myedevedeya). We have to reconsider the expenditure of these resources at the end of the season."

Nonetheless, the tournament has been a blessing to Ioshido Toki, who is looking strong with all wins so far. "The defense has been lacking throughout the tournament," Ioshido conceded, "but I'm still pleased. Our strikers have been doing a good job to getting goals, and the midfield is working out to even the defense. I'm confident that the tournament is giving the players some thoughts about how to make this run out better during the qualification stage for WC43."

Its not that i didnt have the team its just i dont feel like putting the Ying Jing mens club team on a wki and i didnt fell like writing it up again so i just didnt do it.

OFC 7 Final in Sight!

Final Match Against Sorthern Northland Aims to Set Unparalleled Precedent!

HANGYEONG - With a close 3-2 win over Myedvedeya today, the Han have ensured their progression to the OFC Final for the first time in a long time (since the first tournament, if we recall correctly). And having yet to win the esteemed trophy that seems to slip our fingers perpetually, Ioshido Toki will be looking to add the first of many honors that he may earn with the Han team. It's an honor that might him some pleasure, knowing that the Han remain one of two undefeated sides in the Cup so far (the other being the pesky Sorthern Northlanders).

The Han aim to become the first team to host their own cup and win it legitimately, although there were reports from foreign media that there was a fix in the works - notably (and ironically by Sorthern Northlanders). Nonetheless, the Final does expect to be the most thrilling encounter so far, regardless of whether or not this tournament is continued.

Random People Dressed in Cardboard Tanks Detained for Questioning

HANGYEONG - A crowd of young adolescents chanting some weird chant were detained for questioning. Spectators complained that the youths were clearly under some foreign influence and deserved to be re-educated. Imperial Authority later announced that they were not Han citizens and not even citizens at all, and thus summarily deported to the West by train to be taken across the border and out of the country. As to what original nationality the youths were remains undisclosed and perhaps unknown, but at this rate, no one cares now that they're gone.

Sorthern Northland FA Fined for Noise Pollution, Inciting Domestic Disturbance

The IFA - organizer of the OFC Tournament - issued a fine to the SNFA for the actions of their players in inciting a domestic disturbance by noise pollution. "It has been officially noted that there were utterances among the Sorthern Northland football team at Emperor Gojong Football Stadium during the Semifinal match of the Tournament

Kim calls for focus

Having scraped into the Oriental Football Cup final with a nailbiting penalty win over Taeshan, Sorthern Northland's Oriental football team manager, Kim Min-Kim was under no illusions as to what would be needed to retain the OFC title. Speaking after the semi final he said, “Although I am obviously delighted to make the final for a second time in a row, the performance today was very disappointing. We were poor and can count ourselves fortunate to be through and fortunate to have been playing Taeshan. They are not a side I rate at all and I feel had we been playing a decent side today we'd have lost. Daehanjeiguk are a decent side and if we play like that again in the final then I would like to congratulate Daehanjeiguk on winning the cup. What worries me though aside from today's performance is that every game so far has been like that, every game we have won by one goal and in each game we could have easily lost. The players will really need to focus if we are to emerge victorious and I have every faith in them that they will. If I didn't I wouldn't be here.”

Kim did however single out a couple of players for praise after the game, commenting on Feng Shui, and Ham Hyi-san, “Feng is just a fantastic pro really, how he is still going I have no idea, but still going he is and it's absolutely fantastic to have him as part of the team. Not only does he give us a great amount of creativity on the pitch but off it he is someone for the younger lads to look up to, someone they can learn from. And have. I think everyone who's played with him have learnt and immense amount from him. Ham Hyi-san is another player who has stood out. He's a bit of a strange lad but when he's not running around shouting about pirate ninjas or something, he's a terrific player. Critics might point out he's only scored one in the tournament, in the victory over Taeshan in the opening day, but he provides a lot more than just goals. He's set up most of our goals for example, and he has a great future ahead of him. As long as he calms down about the pirate ninjas.”

National Holiday Declared

The Sorthern Government looking for any excuse to take a day off and divert attention from the fact that the nation has been leaderless for months on end now, have declared that the day of the Oriental Cup final will be a national holiday. SNFA apologise for noise disturbance

The SNFA today issued an apology to the organisers of the OFC tournament – the Imperial Football Association – apologising for what it called an unfortunate rise in volume of certain players.
