The chill is beginning to creep into the air. The leaves are turning brown, in those places that have trees and have trees that do turn brown. In someplaces, the first frost has occured or the first flurries of winter have fallen. In other countries, the heat of summer is just beginning or the first leaves of spring have poked through the snow.

But any time of year is good for Ice Hockey and the 7th World Cup of Hockey is now accepting applications for participation and hosting. So sign up today, and celebrate the changing of the season on ice!

(ooc: it's been 3 month since the end of WCoH 6, more than enough time, right?)

The defending champions will return and once again thrust themselves into consideration for hosting (will use Kelssek's WCOH 4&5 scorinator).

Qazox' Host Bid

Scorinator: The same scorinator Kelssek used in WCoH's 4 and 5.

Groups: All groups single round-robin format. With randomly drawn seeded groups (ie: Top X seeds are locked in, while the rest are randomly drawn). The groups will be made as even as possible with random schedules for each group. Single-round robin format, (ie: everyone plays else once) Ties to be broken by the following: H2H record, Goal Differential, Goals Scored, Goals scored in regulation. Each game will be 3 periods with a single OT. no shoot outs, and there will be ties. 3 points for regulation win, 2 points for a OT win, 1 for a Tie. Playoffs are as follows: Quarterfinals and Semifinals: Best 2 of 3, Finals best 3 of 5, 3rd place match: best 2 of 3.

Ox-Cola Center. Cap: 17,130, Qazox City.
Hemisphere Bank Center. Cap: 18,920; Rockport
Pika Bank and Trust Center. Cap: 17,000; Pika City
SaxerDome. Cap: 20,900; SaxerVilla (if selected for host, will host finals and the finals capacity will be 40,000).
Ganja Vodka Gardens. Cap: 16,863; Qazox City

I'm aiming for September 20th or 21st. I would need at least 1 more signup (to have an even number of teams) and am hoping for at least 20 teams total.
