A tall, brown-haired man in jeans and a red sweatshirt on stood near a small dock in a southern island. He had a smile on his face and smelled one thing: the lust for victory. Yes, that's right. This was Carl Edwards, a former KC3 professor and host of the newest reality series to hit the world, Survivor. A game of skill, wit, alliance, and most of all, backstabbing. Yes, backstabbing!

As a cool breeze passed, a boat full of 12 different men and women pulled up. As each of them got out, they said things like "It's great to be here, Carl" or "This is our home, huh?" or "Looks dangerous. Once they were all off, the boat pulled away and Carl began to explain the situation.

"Okay, many of you have that look on your face that says "is this what I sign-ed up for?" Many nods went around as Carl continued. "Okay, it's simple. For the next month or so, this will be your home. Here in the remote jungles of Harigo Ale, Miroxia. Many of you are not from Miroxia. That's okay. You will be divided into two teams. After that, you should find a piece of flint on a box at your campsites. In those boxes will be an axe, some pre-cut wood, and fresh water. There is a fresh water lake near each camp, so don't worry. Basically, that's all we give you.

"Every three days you will be given challenges. The team that wins said challenges wins immunity and they don't have to go to tribal council. Also, they will recieve a prize. The prize will range from fishing supplies to pillows and blankets.

"The losing team is sent to tribal council, where one person will be voted off. They will then have to leave the island immediatly. No exceptions. You may not come back, unless you are on the jury, which won't be for awhile."

Carl then pulled out a bag with red buffs and black buffs. He then handed black buffs to Terri West (Miroxia), Roman Sokolov (Myedvedeya), Demitrius Dalianis (Maimeiras), Tetsuo Tsumura (Dancougar), Ariella Palhares (Cafendéu), and Torvald Bhat (Scotchpinestan). "You are the team Durki Harigo, which means black sun," Carl said.

He then handed the red buffs to Jennifer Wells (Miroxia), Connor da Vincho (Kenavt), Chet Nestant (Taeshan), Nobusaka Gushiken (Fujisawan Territories), Gari Nusason (Uiri), and Jan Sijaski (Swilatia). "You six," Carl started, "are the Gimsun Harigaze, which means crimson sunrise.

"Okay, Gimsun Harigaze, your camp is to the right, Durki Harigo, yours is to the left. Be sure to check your mailbox before and after challenges, when you wake up, ect, okay? Head to camp. I'll get you when your first challenge is ready."

The teams then went to their respective camps.

ooc- okay. i will let each nation rp their campers first hand encounters and how they feel. You may also rp what goes on at camp and rp alliances. When it's time for tribal council, if you don't vote on the voters thread, your vote automatically counts towards who scored worst on your team. Okay? First challenge to be post later. You may rp a flashback of the challenge through your camper, so have fun!

FROM TERRI WEST'S POINT OF VIEW

I walked along the shore to my left and as we all headed there, thing were quiet. I chatted with a few people, but no major strategic planning. That tells me my team doesn't care about winning!

Once we actually arrived at camp, I opened the box and started a fire. Roman went a got some fish and Demitrius just lazed around while the rest of us broke our backs trying to build a camp! After the main structure of the long bed was done, we piled leaves on it. Boom, a home. Now we are all eager for a challenge, yet we don't talk strategy, so, where I stand in this to them, I don't know, but I know who I'm voting for if we lose...

FROM JENNIFER WELLS' POINT OF VIEW

Okay, so the walk to camp was okay. No one talked at all. It was silent. Totally silent. After we arrived, though, things picked up. Gari and Connar got to building camp as me and the others fished and worked on the fire. It was done soon, absolutely.

After the fortress was built and the fish were cooked, we talked about our game plan and ate. We are ready for the challenge, and may I say, Gari of Uiri is a natural born leader! I think he'll do us good, but I've got bad vibes around Jan. I guess it's nothing. We're ready for anything Carl can throw at us. Bring it on, punk!

MYEDVEDEYAN PUBLIC TELEVISION: CHANNEL 4

VV: Greetings, I'm Vladimir Volkovitch, and I'm here with tonight's biggest news segment. The Brand-new reality show, Survivor:Jungles of Harigo Ale Begins tonight, and It is my pleasure to announce that there is a Myedvedeyan representing our glorious nation. Here to profile him for us is war correspondent Sasha Kulchenko.

SK: Thank you, Vlad. Our representative at this new and interesting competition is none other than one of our soldiers. Roman Sokolov, 24, is an officer in the Myedvedeyan Special forces. I have here an interview I did with him just before he left for the Islands.

(Zooms in on Tape)

SK: So, Roman, how do you feel about your chances on this show.

RS: As a highly-trained military operative, I feel my chances are quite good. I've forgotten more about survival in the wilderness than most of my competitors will ever know, and I am a skilled physical competitor for the challenges.

SK: How do you feel about the emotional and psychological aspects of the game?

RS: My years of combat have allowed me to be completely emotionally unattached from any situation. I feel that this will play to my advantage, allowing me to be a completely logical player. As an officer, I have also become skilled at connecting with and encouraging people, which should keep me connected enough to avoid elimination.

SK: You sound confident.

RS: I am.

SK: Thank you, Roman, for your time, and good luck in the coming competition,

RS: I will win the title for our country.

(Zooms out of Video)

SK: Back to you, Vlad.

VV: Thank you, Sasha. That concludes the 12:00 news segment. The first episode of the show will be broadcast at 6:30, Myedvedeyan Standard Time, on Channel 4. Tune in to cheer Roman on through the first day, and the challenges ahead.

FROM ROMAN'S POV

As I met the members of our tribe, I had mixed emotions about the future for us. It was sad to think that these people I would be working with for a little while would soon become my enemies, when the Individual stages arrived. Still, this did not trouble me for long, and I soon got about fishing, to provide the camp with some food. No one in camp seemed to excited about the upcoming challenge, so I did not try to interject with strategic talk or other such things. Instead, I brought the fish I had caught back to camp, and went about starting a fire. While I built the kindling structure, and shaved some birchbark with an axe, I noticed Demitrius, laying around on the beach. Many of the other tribemembers had been working on a shelter, and I wondered if he had done anything for them.

I found Terri West, looking dissapointedly at Demitrius as well.
"Has he done anything at all", I asked
"No", she replied. "He's just sort of laying around, like he has for the past few hours"
"I hate people like that... Back in the army, he'd be dead in a week"

As the challenge approached, I finished building the fire. I left the fish by the flame, on top of a rock, to cook after the challenge for a meal. For now, It was time to inspect the shelter my tribemates had made, and prepare for the first challenge.

FROM TERRI'S P.O.V.

I walked over to Roman who was working on shelter. I whispered in his ear: "If we go to tribal council tonight, you know who to vote off, right?"

He nodded simply.

"Good. If you help me take down whoever I want and vote with me for these next couple days, I'll take you to the final three with me. What do you say?"

He said nothing for a minute. Ugh. Army men...

Carl walked slowly to the camp of Durki Harigo. He noticed that Terri and Roman were chatting as Demitrius laid around. Tetsuo, Ariella, and Torvald were eating and talking here and there. "Guys!" he siad, startling some. "It's time for your first challenge!" THey all then got up as he lead them to an open place in the middle of the jungle. Standing there were the Gimsun Harigaze team, with determination on their faces.

As the two teams stood facing each other, Carl wheeled out several carts. "Today's your first challenge. Excited?"

Everyone replied with a cheerful "Yeah!"

"Alright. Today's challenge is the best of 'em all. It's the 'I Wouldn't Eat That If I Were Dying on the Kitchen Floor Challenge.'" Women looked disgusted already as men looked unmoved. "Alright. Make a single file line behind each other and we'll get this started."

As the women headed towards the back of the line, the men took the front.

Then the challenge began.

(ooc- you nations may rp flashbacks of the contest; I will not)

After a long hour of deep fried bugs, live fungus, and strange Miroxian cuisine, the Gimsun Harigaze won the challenge off of Gari's eating of beetle-covered mountain goat meat! The score was 6-5 as Demitrius Dalianis refused to eat what was served to him.

"The Gimsun Harigaze win!" Carl yelled as they jumped for joy (with disgusted looks on their face). Your prize: immunity and," Carl then lifted up a sheet revealing fishing gear! Nets, bait and Spears! "fishing gear. Now you can easily catch your fish. Durki Harigo, I have nothing for you. You have a date with me at tribal council tonight. Head back to camp."

As they headed back to camp, Demitrius was quiet and look healthy, while the rest forced themselves to eat the oddest thing. Roman, however, looked unphased.

TERRI'S POV

Okay. I ate a horse-crap sandwhich and Demitrius ate NOTHING!!! Gosh, send that gay guy home, already! Ugh!

After I asked him to get fire wood, he actually did it. Then, I told everyone to vote him off. I know for sure that ROman's voting for me, but I can't speak for the rest of us...

JENNIFER'S POV

*teary-eyed* I am so proud of Gari. Even though he was tough and manly, I don't think anyone would've eaten that. Okay, I didn't finish mine, but we still got points for it. At least now we can fill our bellies with delisious fish with our new gear. Maybe when our appetites return, but still...

OOC: In the end game, make the prize a car and Gari would be able to sabotge it. Damn. Then I won't be able to vote. Just make voting like whenever and people can post who their person is voting for on their first post after the challenge.
IC:

Gari didn't speak. Or, rather he did, it was only that he could understand english, just not read or write and he could understand and speak Uir. They had won the challenge. The question was whether his stomach could take the goat meat. Beetles were ok. Sometimes thats what they had had for dinner when he had first been looking for work. Of course, when he had eaten beetles there was always the risk that they were poisonous.

"Ji gin! Ji gin! Nu gin! Nu gin!" Gari chanted in Uir. He said something in Uir and then grabbed the fishing gear. He was not going to let the others fish, for this was his prize for life as a harsh Uir labourer. He didn't need to know how to fish, he'd use the gear to the best of his ability and eat it raw if he had to.

He hoped that the others wouldn't enroach his territory at camp. No one was going to fish until morning if he had anything to say about it. Which specifically would've been, "No poxon (x in Uir is pronounced sh) toni. Poxon tedi" (No fish tonight. Fish tomorrow) Of course his grammar was bad but most wouldn't even know if he knew what grammar was.

JENNIFER'S POV

Okay, I'm glad that Gari won this for us and all, but barely anyone knows what he's saying. Because I'm a waitress, I've learned many laguages and understand, but he won't last long if he won't speak Englsih. Who knows. I shouldn't judged a book by it's cover. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

The show was unaltered for the rich broadcast on Uir Televison. Most viewers had no idea what was being spoken but there was no need for the rich usually understood english and if the vocabulary was a little complex an Uir subtitle was simply shown. Subtitles for the entire broadcast to accomodate for the minority of poorer viewers with televisions would be a waste as only a minority had the program and of that minority an extremely small minority could actually read or write.

The rich did not care that the Uir was working class - they were entertained nonetheless. Due to the popularity of the internet among those who would understand the broadcast, Uir were asked to go online to http://surivivor.uir-televison.ui/ and cast their vote for who should be cast off.

ARIELLA'S POV

Well, I guess I seemed a bit shy in the beginning, and didn't approach anyone to talk to while we were going to our camp. But, now thinking about it, it was due to the anxiety. I mean, I was going to a completely unknown place with people that I had just met! This without commenting the fact that we all would have to participate in challenges, so I was very nervous.

I tried to relax, touching the pendant my daughter gave me in my last birthday... well, it was my father that bought it and made Caroline give it to me, as my daughter is still too young to think about giving me a present by herself. But, anyway, this is a gift that I treasure, and makes me remind of my daughter and my parents, the people that I love the most, and makes me remember that I'm not alone, even with the responsibility to raise a child alone, without her father, who simply don't want to take care of his own daughter.

Still walking to the camp, I started talking with Terri, who seemed very friendly. We talked about our expectations for the competition, and some few things about our lives. Well, that was good for a start, I think. Maybe we had a good talk because we are the two women of the tribe.

In the camp, things went well. We walked in the areas near it, exploring it to see if we could find something valuable. In the end, nothing important. In our return to the camp, I talked with Tetsuo, who seemed pretty anxious for the challenges... it was surprising, as many people are worried about these challenges, not wanting to do them. But he said that he was ready for anything. I could laugh a lot talking with him, he is a funny person.

I didn't talk much with the others, although I didn't ignore them, - and they didn't ignore me - it was just that we didn't have many chances for a long conversation... Terri and Tetsuo were the ones with whom I could talk a lot. Well, perhaps I was really shy.

Then the first challenge happened. Well, I must say that I was disgusted with what I had to do. I love to eat... but to eat decent food, not those "things". Even getting close to them made me feel sick. In the end, I was able to eat some nearly liquid thing that didn't have a strong taste. Later, I even tried to eat a more solid thing, but... that was horrible, I was unable to swallow that. I'm a bit ashamed by my performance, but I did what I could.

TERRI'S POV

Before Tribal Council, I walked over to Ariella. Being the only two women, we needed to bond. After talking about life some more, I got serious.

"I have made an alliance with Roman. He'll be useful in step one in my plan, but my entire plan includes him out of the picture. I plan to take all three women (you, me, and Jennifer) to the final three after the merge. Okay?"

NOBUSAKA'S POV

When I first arrived at camp, I was overwhelmed by what I had gotten myself into. I’m a very spiritual, inward person, so I needed some time to get acclimated to this strange new environment that I find myself in. I need to find a connection with the environment so I can keep my focus and make a contribution to the tribe. I told everyone I was going out to find food , but I was really out looking for a place where I could conceivably meditate and I think I’ve found the perfect place.

Where I think I can make the biggest contribution is in the challenges. The first challenge was rough, but I tapped into my inner self to get through it. A lot of what we had to eat was bitter, rancid, and stomach turning. What can I say? Like a typical Fujisawan, I believe strongly in myself and I think there’s nothing I can’t do.

I’m worried about becoming isolated from the others by making my time here more of a spiritual journey, so I have to find a balance, and I feel like I have to start making solid connections with the others in my tribe. In particular, I’d like to get to know Gari and Connor better.

ROMAN'S POV

Tribal council should be interesting. I mean, of course Demitrius will go home, but at least we'll get to see how some of my fellow competitors react to pressure. As soon as we lost the challenge, everyone was scrambling to be friends with everyone else... No one else seems to have learned the fundamental rule of competition. While I may use someone as a tool to progress in the game, emotional attachment will ruin you. No one is truly an ally, they are all enemies, some will just have to be crushed later rather than sooner.

ARIELLA'S POV

I was somewhat depressed after the challenge, as my performance was far from good. But I couldn't do better. I never ate anything too different or strange. My family is a rich one, so we could ever go to expensive restaurants and I had the right to choose what I'd eat. Although nowadays things are different - my parents don't help me with money since I left the college - my job as a lawyer still can make me earn enough money to eat properly. Now I'm not rich, and probably poorer than the average Cafundelense, as life in my home country is based especially on money and the consumers. That's why this camp is a very different experience for me: money can't help you here.

So, I was sitting in the camp, just thinking. I was worried with the tribal council, I feared that they would vote for me to leave... maybe because the one that did worse than me is a man, and they'd think that he'd be of use in the other challenges, or maybe I was too shy. I'm a very insecure person, so my future in the competition worried me.

Tetsuo tried to cheer me up, telling a joke... but I didn't react the way he expected. So he sit down and asked me to share my worries with him, but I was unable to do so, keeping these thoughts to myself. So we talked about football, and about the World Cup... this chat helped me to get better, as he knew a lot about football, and so do I. I played some football at college, although I was best at volleyball. He also told me some of his experiences in piloting robots.

Less worried, I decided to follow Torvald in going after food... my first impression of him was of a serious person, but this time he was more talkative, maybe because he did well in the challenge, or maybe because we were alone with anybody else hearing. So, my "second impression" of him is of a introspective person. Although he talked more than he usually did, we didn't talk of anything important, and most of the time it seemed that I wasn't even there. But I wasn't offended by that.

Returning to the camp, I couldn't avoid noticing the clearly sad expression of Demitrius. He had the worst performance in the challenge, and looked like he was already giving up. Well, I'll have to vote for him to leave, as he did worse than everybody else, even than me! I only have to hope that more people vote for him and not for me!

Closer to him, helping with the fire, was Roman. I didn't talk much to him, and I was unable to do now. He is very determined, and doesn't abandon his work. Due to that, he is ever doing something outside the camp, to help us, and seems one of the most serious people of our tribe. In the challenge, he showed his potential, eating things that I didn't even come close to.

So, after looking at them, I decided to sit again. Took my backpack and searched for my crosswords book - luckily I was allowed to bring this with me - to spend my free time. I had already done all my obligations within the tribe, so I thought I had the right to relax a bit. Then, Terri came to talk to me. I smiled, as she really seems friendly and, after all, is the only other woman here, so it is probably the best person whom I can talk to. She noticed that I was worried and frustrated because of the challenge. We had a good conversation, she seems to be the one that understands me the most and knows how do I feel... and, after some minutes, she told me:

"I have made an alliance with Roman. He'll be useful in step one in my plan, but my entire plan includes him out of the picture. I plan to take all three women - you, me and Jennifer - to the final three after the merge. Okay?"

That was interesting to hear. I mean, I know that these alliances would appear soon, but I wasn't expecting to hear that at that moment. But I was glad that she talked to me, instead of planning with everybody else against me! So, I was somewhat relieved, and more confident...

And I couldn't avoid thinking about her proposal... the three women in the final... I have nothing against men - with the exception of my ex-boyfriend, my daughter's father - but I couldn't avoid thinking about their reaction if they saw only the three women remaining in the competition. I smiled... but this time it was a different kind of smile... I enjoyed what I thought, I enjoyed to think they frustrated. I wanted to see them suffering with their loss... I assume it was an evil thought, but I couldn't avoid that, it was stronger than me... I must admit I have this... obscure side.

Then she said:

"If I win, I'll give half of the million dollars to you..."

Well, I didn't truly believe in that, as I know she was trying to include me in her alliance... maybe if she said a hundred thousand I could even believe, but half was too much. But I ignored that, as that was something I would say too... and because I was too absorbed in my dark thoughts.

She gave me some time to think about that, but I had already made my decision. When she came to talk to me again, I didn't even wait for her to say a word, I just said:

"I'm in... oh, surerly I am. I'm your ally, Terri."

Then I said to myself:

"I'll enjoy this."

I laughed, although the others couldn't understand the reason of that.

Falling asleep tonight with all the shifting, moving, and grumbling of my teammates will be difficult. I find it amazing how some people come on a show like this unprepared to sleep outside on the ground. If they aren't ready for that, how can they be ready for everything else that is to come? Thinking back on the challenge, I should speak to Torvald and Tetsuo tomorrow. Being some of the other physical competitors, I'm sure they would listen to me. Most strongmen would be easily tempted by the idea of going through to the end just us, and having the remainder of the competition purely on physical merit. Not that that's necessarily how I would end it, but planting an idea like that in their heads can't hurt, can it...

As the members of Durki Harigo noticed the sun going down out of the horizon, they decided it was time for tribal council. Luckily, Carl gave them a map so they could get used to things, but it wasn't meant to be used all the time.

As the all found their way into a small area with a fire in the middle, they sat on nearby benches. Carl then came out and said, "Good evening, guys. Tonight is tribal council." He then gave each of the a torch. "This torch is your life," he explained. "If your fire is put out by me, you must leave immediatly. A boat will then pick you up and take you to a local resort until the competition is over.

"You may cast you votes over there. Whoever has most votes is out. Light your torches, then Terri, go vote."

TERRI'S POV

As the whole tribe lit their torches, I went and voted. Now, each member was also required to say something into the camera. As I wrote the name "Demitrius Dalianis", I said, "This was not the right competition for you. Get out of here and show your fashion sense where they need it!" It then put the vote into the bowl. Then Ariellas came up.

After a long while of voting, Carl finally came out.

END POV

Carl took the bowl and stood before a podium. "Okay, I will now tally the votes," Carl said. He then took out the first vote and read it: "Demitrius."

He then read another: Demitrius.

And another, but this time...: Terri.

As Terri's was read aloud, she got worried and Ariella and Roman looked at her then looked like the went into thought.

"Demitrius," he continued to read. "That's 3 votes Demitrius, 1 vote Terri, 2 votes left. If this last one if for Demitrius, he's out." Carl then pulled out a voted and showed it to us: "Demitrius...that's 4, that's enough. Bring me your torch."

Demitrius then got up, lugging a small bag, and had his fire put out.

As Carl took a cup and put it over Demitrius' flame, he spoke softly, "Demitrius, the tribe has spoken..." Then it was done. He looked back, said a few good-byes, then he left.

"Well, it just goes to show," Carl said, smiling, "that you need to work to stay in this game. Day one and some of you look ready to leave. It'll be a long time here. Leave your torches, go back to camp. G'night."

The tribe then headed back to camp and tried to sleep.

TERRI'S POV

When my name was written on that card, I was a wreck. A vote for me!? Probably Demitrius, but still! Anyway, I walked back to camp while chatting with Ariella, but when we got to camp, talk about living heck. We had no pillows or blankets. Our beds were wood and leaves, and there were three other men. 'Nough said.

END POV

ooc- okay, well, your competitor may rp a flash back of their vote and the challenge and results will be up in a few hours, so, enjoy!

Gari found it strange that Nobusaka was very quiet. He himself had been quiet but that was mostly because he didn't speak english. He hoped that his strength at the challenges would be able to carry him through to the finals or atleast to one of the last few in his tribe. He decided that Jan was probably the weakest link and that forgin with him and Nobusaka would bring about the best results. So he first approached Jan, "Hey," he immitated a greeting he had heard his bosses use among themselves.

When both sides awoke, they immediatly checked their tree mail. Chet checked it for Gimsun Harigaze while Roman checked Durki Harigo's tree mail. It read:

For the location of your next challenge you seek
Mind the mud down by your feet...

Both teams then checked by their feet and noticed a trail of mud, so without hesitation, both teams followed it, only to find a big mud-pit. They sat on the benches on their respective sides as Carl walked up.

"How are you today, camper?" he asked. The replies varied from good to horrible. Carl then pointed to Team Durki Harigo. "Demitrius Dalianis voted off at last night tribal council.

"Okay, so today's challenge is a mud-wrestling tournament, so men, get into your trunks, women, into your bathing suits." After changing, he continued, "You will do standard a wrestling tournament. Whoever is pinned for 3 seconds first loses and the person who pinned them gets a point. Whichever team has the most points at the end wins, okay?" Both teams agreed. "One problem, Gimsun Harigaze, you must sit one player out." The team chose Jan. Then the tournament commenced!

Ariella vs. Jennifer- Ariella (1-0)
Connar da Vincho vs. Terri West- Connar (1-1)
Chet vs. Tetsuo- Chet (2-1)
Gari vs. Roman- Gari (3-1)
Nobusaka vs. Torvald- Nobusaka (4-1)

Carl: "And Nobusaka takes the win for Gimsun Harigaze, 4-1!" The muddy team jumped for joy as the took the immunity idol back for a second day. "Also, you win pillows and blankets, but all people must wash off before receiving these clean sheets. After cleaning, head back to camp. Durki Harigo, all I have for you is a tribal council tonight." After washing, the teams went back to their camps, some rejoycing, some sulking...but backstab was in the air.

TERRI'S POV

I sucked today. I admit it. Sure, I want to stay in it, but maybe we need to vote out someone we'd never expect to vote out. I talked with Ariella about it, but she's undecided. Everyone sucked today, so we'll see what happens throughout today...

All I know is that if I can get Ariella and Roman to vote with me, things will be a piece of cake: automatic elimination...

END POV

occ- here's how everyone really did based on scorination:

1st Gari Nusason
2nd Chet Nestant
3rd Roman Sokolov
4th Tetsuo Tsumura
5th Nobusaka Gushiken
6th Connar da Vincho
7th Ariella Palhares
8th Jennifer Wells and Terri West
10th Torvald Bhat

again, tribal council open from now until tomorrow at around 8 or 9 am EST OR if i get all the votes before that time, so, good luck and happy voting!

TERRI'S POV

So, it's been awhile, so I walked up to Ariella while the men were getting firewood and asked her: "What do you think about voting off Torvald? He hasn't done that good in challenges, but because he works as security, he could be a big threat to us later on. We need Roman's vote for this to work, though. What do you think?"

OOC: 6 then. An even number is necessary.
IC:

Gari knew that Jennifer lost and had thought that she should've been sat out although the rest of the team had chosen Jan. He wasn't entirely sure whether Jan would've won or not although it didn't matter. After the challenge he approached Jennifer and said, "Hey, Jenifer, tu fid bod." ((OOC:" Hey Jennifer, you did good."))

ARIELLA'S POV

So the time for another challenge had come. This time, I wasn't nervous like in the first day, probably because I was getting used to the camp and to my team mates. Or maybe because I was truly determinated to show what I can do. I wasn't going to lose this time... at least not without a good fight. Inside me, I was different.

And, to my surprise, the challenge was exactly that: a fight. I thought about many different things, from the most simple to the most complicated, but an one against one fight was something that I really didn't expect - although I even thought about that - to see as a challenge. But I loved that. As soon as I discovered the nature of the challenge, I was anxious to start. I had to defeat someone, and my body was asking me to use it to reach this goal. I was hungry for a fight.

Then that Carl said told us the details of the challenge: it was going to be a mud-wrestling tournament... now that was going to be interesting. I had fun just in imagining the situation. I changed clothes, put on my bikini and couldn't control my anxiety... I was really excited by the wrestling fight. I was just waiting for my opponent to appear.

I think that the others from my tribe noticed my will to fight soon, and asked me to go first. I didn't even discuss that with them, and got prepared. Then, it was decided that my opponent would be Jennifer, probably because she was the only woman of their tribe, and they thought that it would be fair to put the women to fight each other... or maybe because they thought that it would be fun... or both... well, I'm not sure, I just know that we were going to make the first dispute.

I was confident... I looked at her and thought: it won't be difficult, I think I can defeat her with speed. The others were looking at us, they couldn't predict a result. The members of my tribe were looking at me worried, maybe they thought that I was going to lose? But, when Carl announced the start of the fight, I jumped at Jennifer... she evaded a frontal crash with me, but I was able to get her right arm and throw her to the mud, she stood up and tried to stop my attack, but I was ferocious and pushed her to the mud again, holding her there with my hands. She kicked me, but it didn't change my attitude. Instead, I let her stand up again and then pulled her close to me, before throwing her to the mud again... I was impressed with my performance, it looked like it wasn't me that was fighting. After that, I didn't let her stand up again and won.

I laughed, and soon everyone was looking at me with strange faces. Do they think that I am psychotic? I must admit that I was carried away in my will to fight, and seemed a bit cruel in making her stand up before my last attack, but I didn't even think about that, I just acted. In the end, even my team mates looked worried, or maybe even scared of this side of me. Well, I don't mind... because I loved that. I loved the fact that it was me who threw her to the mud... her defeat at my hands was exciting, the joy of the situation was absolute, it is a marvelous feeling.

Unfortunately, the other members of my tribe were unable to win too... I had already expected to see Terri losing, as I knew that she would have to face a man, and that would be difficult... but the guys lost too, and I didn't think that would happen. I had good expectations about Roman and Tetsuo, and they failed... maybe they aren't so strong as I thought that they were... and Thorvald? He lost in ten seconds! Surely they don't understand how good it is to discharge their energy in a good fight! Well, I was the only one in my tribe that won the fight, so I'm in advantage today.

Later, at the camp, I was full of energy and happy to be able to do such an enjoyable experience... I was still laughing about my triunph over Jennifer. The others didn't seem in the mood to talk, so I didn't bother them. Terri came to me and said:

"What do you think about voting off Torvald? He hasn't done that good in challenges, but because he works as security, he could be a big threat to us later on. We need Roman's vote for this to work, though. What do you think?"

In fact, I wasn't worried about the voting, I didn't even think about that. I was still being affected by the joy of the fight. But I answered:

"Okay... I don't really want to vote on the others, so it's fine for me."

"Execelent," I said. I then left to talk with Roman.

"What do you think about voting of Torvald?" I asked him. He didn't reply for a sec, but I knew he would...

I'm alright with that. He's weaker than my first impressions lead me to believe, and the weak always fail in this game. Speaking of which, convey my apologies to the tribe for not being able to overcome Gari. He is strong, but I will beat him the next time I have the chance.

Man, started while I was out of town... and before I got the wireless hooked up ^_^;

Tetsuo was still trying to figure out what has possessed him to take part in this bizarre competition... the last thing he remembered was sitting around the barracks with Jun and the others talking about how easy it would be for any of them to survive for a month in the jungle. Their military training would be more than enough, they figured. "I think it would be fun!" Jun said, but Tetsuo dismissed it.

Then he woke up on a boat in the middle of the ocean and was unceremonious dumped on an island.

At first, his immediate reaction was, "Jun, you bi...", but he thought better of it and instead took stock of the situation. The assembled competitors were a motley assortment to be sure, but he didn't see any pushovers. He would later decide he had both overestimated his abilities and underestimated the competition itself. But for the immediate tasks - shelter and food - he was to prove useful.

But then challenges... what the heck was up with these challenges? Eat weird stuff? He figured this was exactly the kind of thing you'd find on television, but the amount of decent food there was to be found around the island made this completely unnecessary and easily a ratings gimmick. Whatever... I'll show these guys what I can do! Several bugs later, not even the proud robot pilot could stomach another bite. Middle of the pack on his own team, but he survived elimination.

The next challenge was mud wrestling. This'll be easy... he thought to himself. These guys will... And then he lost. He'd attempted to go for the kill straight away, but his opponent evaded the first rush and went for his legs. Tetsuo realized he'd made a tactical miscalculation. A mud pit was not the place for strength, it required mobility and finesse... once he was in the mud, that was lost to him. He struggled against Chet but to no avail. Another embarrassment.

Back at camp, it was time to decide who to vote for. He'd noticed the others seemed to have some sort of implicit agreement between them which he hadn't been let in on... This isn't good, if they're ganging up on me... he thought. He realized it was his own fault. There was no doubt in his mind that he could win a survival game. His training would see to that. But the dynamics of the group... now that was where he really fell flat.

There was no choice, then, but to ride it out and hope he survived this round. Torvald looked pretty bad out there... I guess he's my man. If he made it past the voting, he would have to redouble his efforts to win them over. Maybe do more around the camp... if every grimy task was met with a cheerful "I'll do it!", they might be willing to let him slide.

ROMAN'S POV
As I wandered around the camp before tribal council, I took some time to observe my fellow competitors. Since Torvald was going home, and no one but him seemed to want to do anything about it, I had some free time, seeing as I did not need to try to avoid elimination. I noticed that Tetsuo seemed like the kind of guy I could use on my side. He was a hard worker, and, seeing as I had still been doing a very large portion of work around the camp, I felt like I should get to know him.

"Tetsuo" I said. "Since we're the main providers of this tribe, we should stick together. I have a feeing Terri and Ariella are together, so if we have each other's backs, the best they can do is force a tie. what do you say?"

TETSUO'S POV

Roman approached and as to the point. Tetsuo appreciated that - the way things stood, their tribe was getting picked apart. An alliance was necessary when the next vote came around, as it invariably would. Unless he improved his own game and was able to help

"Then you had the same idea that I had," Tetsuo replied. "It's taken me too long to grasp the finer points of this game... It seems that actually surviving is not the point of being the survivor. But if we can take charge of the camp, we might get one of them to defect our way."

Roman had a seat and the two chatted strategy. Tetsuo wasn't sure yet if he could trust this guy. But what choice did he have? Man, this was, like, frontline intelligence... always comfy in his cushy robot cockpit, he was never the guy in the trenches like he was now. He was realizing all of his shortcomings... and he didn't like it.

As the Gimsun Harigaze pulled off an easy victory, the Durki Harigo team headed off to tribal council. When everyone arrived, Carl was standing there, smiling. "So again we meet," he joked. The team then got their torches and lit them. "Okay, you may go and cast your votes now."

TERRI'S POV

I was the first to vote again. As I wrote down Torvald's name, I said, into the camera, "You were good once, but you proved weak. Sorry." I then folded the vote and put it in the bowl.

END POV

As the rest of the team cast their votes, it was quiet all around. When the last one was done, Carl took a tally of the votes. "Alright," he said, pulling out the first vote, "Torvald. That's one for Torvald."

He then read another: Torvald

And another: Terri

Terri then winced as her allies also took a wince. Apperantly, those who are going home think Terri should go...

"Two votes Torvald, one vote Terri, two votes left. If the next one is for Torvald, it's over." Carl then took out the vote and read it, "The second person voted of of Survivor: Miroxia, Torvald! That's three, that's enough."

As Torvald looked back at his teammates, he had a look of disgust on his face. "Torvald," Carl said, putting out the flame, "the tribe has spoken." He then left the area.

"Okay. You guys need to win something, or none of you will be in after the merge. Leave your torches, head back to camp, good night!"

The tribe then went back to camp.

Jeez, I haven't said much, Connor da Vincho thought to himself. But I've done OK on the challenges... it doesn't look like anyone wants me out. If anyone's been paying attention.

He stood up from his bed. "Hey guys?" he asked across the camp. "I'll go fishing!" He immediately grabbed the gear and headed to the freshwater lake.

So... I'm not even sure how this works. I've heard stuff about a merger... What? Then he got a tug on his line, and pulled up a fish. Maybe six inches and a smallmouth bass? Oh well, good eating.

Walking back to camp, he couldn't help but yell to everyone: "Hey, I have a fish. Who's hungry?[/i] He started a fire and started to cook it.

TETSUO'S POV

Silence around the campfire. The group gnawed away at some of the fish that Tetsuo and Roman had rounded up earlier. He couldn't help but notice Terri and Ariella sitting near each other. Perhaps Roman had been right... augh, this was no good! Nothing would save him if the group was torn apart before this 'merger' thing. The way he figured it, it would be eight in the combined tribe. That left at least two more challenges.

"So, we're zero for two," he said at last. "How do we fix this?" It should be in everyone's interest to avoid seeing their tribe get decimated anymore. Otherwise, the other tribe would crush the remains after the merger. He hoped they thought the same way. "I'll man up and say I haven't performed. But you know, I think I'm finally getting used to this crazy game..."
