"Hello, I'm Bobby Jared with the Miroxian Sports News Channel! Today on MSNC, we have some exciting news. As we all know, here in Miroxia, this passing new year, Miroxia lost a great leader, perhaps, the greatest who ever lived. His name was Roland Fredrick Adams III, or Roland the Great. He brought Miroxia through it's hardest times and he was loved by all. In January he was shot and hospitalized, then suffered a heart attack and died at age 50. He will live on in our hearts forever.

"So, current High Councilor Hartford Benson has passed a law stating that every year near the end of August, when the leaves of Miroxia are turning red and when his works sparkle the most(ooc- some wars were fought during summer-fall-winter in Miroxia), there will be an internation soccer tournament to honor him and each year the winning team will get the Roland Cup and be awarded 100,000 USD. There will also be a fundraising event to raise money for the Roland Adams Children Hospital and the Adams Foundation for a Safer Nation. I'm Bob Jared with more on the subject after this break...!"

We have just received news that a new international football competition is to be started soon.
The Roland The Great Memorial Cup is to be held in Miroxia. News is only just filtering in about this competition.
We have yet to hear whether this is a club or a national team event. This paper is surprised if it is a national team event being started whilst the world cup qualifiers are on. However, it could provide useful experience for youngsters if it is an age limited event or alternatively for some of our backup players if not.
