In the beginning, all was void. Then came the voids opposite, Kungshao. The giver of life and abundance, Infinities Representative. Choosing the form of wisdom and power, he entered himself into the skin of a dragon. The Void, that surrounds us in all directions, and will do so for all eternity, became filled with the sparks of life that the life-dragon birthed. And for a time, the void was filled, and emptiness was not known.

Then the nothingness, cast aside as unnecessary, grew jealous and angry of the dragon, and within its own shadowself, schemed and birthed Shang Wei, the giver of ends and limits. Limits Representative. Choosing the form of hunger and cunning, he entered himself into the skin of a Tiger. The Dragon for the first time faced the concept of enemy and threat.

The stalker Shang Wei hunted and ate the children of Kungshao, while the dragon desperately tried to replace what the tiger took. Until finally, the Dragon stopped, and then took on the mind-state of the tiger-who-hunts. The battle soon raged between the two forces, stars were swallowed so much that darkness soon became more dominant than light.

Eons passed, and neither the Tiger nor the Dragon gained advantage over the other for long. Locked into a stalemate, the First Truce between the was declared, and both reverted to their realms to scheme against the other for the next fight.

In his realm, Infinity chided Kungshao, reminding him that he was the light of the world, and that the dragon must overcome the tiger.

In his realm, Void chided Shang Wei, reminding him that he was the champion of the starting place, and that the tiger must overcome the dragon.

And so the battle was joined a second time, the tides of victory and defeat ebbed and flowed so that either combatant would seem the victor for a moment, than on the precipice of defeat the next.

Finally, when the two were at a middle meeting point, the Dragon spoke.

"Shang Wei. We meet here to bite the other for pointlessness. My master speaks to me the words that are the same as yours. Yet neither can see what we do as pointless."

"Kungshao. You speak truth, but what can we, as the children of the universe do but as our masters bid?"

Then for the first time, the Dragon and the Tiger schemed together, not against the masters, nor against themselves. Rather for the children of both. Then it was decided.

As their masters look upon the children, they would see them fighting and bidding well their intentions. But in truth, if they were too look closer, they would see that the Dragon and the Tiger were in fact dancing with one another, and that the middle meeting point had neither ebbed nor flowed in generations, and the children of the Dragon and the Tiger rejoiced in the Divine Deception.
