Ok this game is a combonation of Football (American), Soccer (uhh duh), and Rugby. The game consists of 9 players to a team on a 120 Yard Long X 85 Yards Wide field. The 9 Players play Offense and Defense with Lines of Substitution (Similar to Futsal or Hockey) The nine players objective is to run with the ball the length of the field and either Run or Kick the Ball into a scoring option. At the end of the field if the player elects to run in he scores a 5 point Touch Down. However he can elect to take a running drop kick. The drop kick would mean he'd have to kick the ball through a hoop which is about 7 feet wide and 4 feet tall which is elevated 6 feet in the air directly on midfield. Passing through the ring does nothing nor does dunking onto it, the ring is only a scoring option from a kick, and the kick may not be taken from a set play, with the exception of the final overtime round. The post is in play and any ball deflecting off it is live (including drop kicks) unless the ball hits the ground. If the ball hits the ground after a drop kick attempt the ball will be considered live so long as it either hits the post of the hoop or comes close to it. The definition of close is to be determined by the official, so obviously if its 10 feet off target you either suck or were trying to advance the ball with a kick. Also, players maybe rammed into the post of the hoop and there is no foul for being rammed into said post, whether the player is hit in the air or on the ground. A seperate option would be to bounce off of an inground trampoline that is strategically placed in front of a seperate hoop that is placed in front of the score line this hoop is 3 feet wide by 4 feet long and is elevated 13 feet in the air. At that point the player must throw, slam, or put the ball into the hoop anyway possible, this would only score 8 points where as kicking the ball would score 15. Kicking the ball through the hoop succesfully though the hoop is called a Goal, and Putting it through the hoop in some form other than kicking it is dubbed a Dunk.
SPECIFICS:
The game consists of 6 15 Mintue stretches with a halftime after the third stretch, teams rotate possessions to start off each stretch with a set formation play at midfield to open every stretch. The game is played with a ball much similar to a Rugby Ball. Only difference being is that it weighs slightly more (Instead of 410 Grams its 450 Grams).
The Trampoline is 10 Feet wide by 10 Feet Long, and no more than 2 players per team (4 total) may be in [on] the tramp at one time.
Each team's objective is to advance the ball down the field to score. In an attempt to stop them the opposing team may physically tackle the Ball-Carrier and render him immobile, by knocking him to the floor so that his torso is touching the turf, whether it be stomach/chest or back.
Once the Ball-Carrier has been rendered immobile he has 8 seconds to pitch or handoff the ball to a fellow teammate. The team on the defensive may block players from reaching the immobilized player. If said player can't get the ball off before the 8 seconds the Referee will then come in and take the ball, he will then place it at the spot that the immobilized player was tackled. Then the immobilized player and the tackler will race for the ball, they may retrieve the ball by any means other than sliding/diving.
During an attack from the Trampoline a defender (which may or may not be designated as such) may jump from the Trampline as well in an event to stop the attacker. To stop the attacker, the defender or Stopper may ram into, charge, tackle, pull down, hold, or any other means other than Punching, Kicking, or Kneeing. This event is also used on players that obtain there Second Foul or More. This may also be used for players who are fouled within the tramp zone.
Surrounding the field are polyurethane and wood boards which are held together in a titanium casing. These boards keep the ball in play at all times and are not considered out of bounds. Players maybe slammed into or even shoved over said boards. Any ball sailing over the boards would be considered out of bounds.
RULES:
Players
Each team must have at least 3 - Lines of 9 Players, but no more than 5 - lines.
Fouls
Fouls are defined as anything not pertaining to the Rules. Fouls during tackles are described as any type of Slide Tackling. Other fouls are Hitting a player who is already rendered immobile. Punching, Kicking or any other type of violent strikes are also considered fouls. Intentional Hitting of a referee or official or staff member or crowd member is also considered a foul. Certain behaviors of an unacceptable nature toward the same said groups would also be considered a foul. Tackles in which aim specifically for the neck (clotheslining, fist to neck, foot to neck, etc) are considered fouls, any intentional hitting of the genetalia also a foul. Also, heads to the face are considered fouls, but head to head is not. The forehead is considered part of the head and not the face so there for anything from Eyebrows to chin is facial area, and a head to forehead shot is legal, so long as its delivered while the players are competing for a ball, and not just exchanging headbutts for the hell of it. If a player recieves a foul they will face the person they fouled in a showdown, the Foulee getting to attack the Fouler. If a player receives a second foul this then again done. However if a player receives a 3rd foul in one gae they will be ejected the team will have to play one man down under all circumstances no matter if the lines are switched, he will also be suspended a mandatory 5 games.
Gameplay
The ball may be played forward backward or side to side in any fashion. The ball maybe played but may never touch the ground. If the ball happens to touch the ground the last team to touch it loses possession and the two teams select one player that is currently on the field to have a "Jump Ball" Battle for the ball. In this event the Referee will throw the ball up in between two players and they will leap for it, at this point the rest of the players on the field will surround them in a circle and compete for the ball. The ball is allowed in this event to touch the ground. Jump Ball Battles are not nessecary in the event of a tipped throw or if the player is tackled and forced to lose the ball. In the even of a tipped pass if the ball touches the ground after the ball has been tipped by the defenisve team the attacking team will be allowed the ball in a set for play, and the clock will stop. In the event of a fumble or lost ball the ball is considered live and available to be picked up. A pitched ball that does not reach its target is NOT considered a fumble and therefore it is not live(unlike Rugby). Balls maybe played off of the walls as well. In the event that the ball goes over the boards, the last team with possession of the ball must retrieve the ball and the player must try and jump over the dasherboards and into play. Now while the player is in air he is fully open to contact, and may be hit in any way previously stated legal. Points may be scored in ways stated above by Dunking, Kicking a Goal, or scoring a Touchdown. Dunking is also a way of scoring after a foul in the tramp zone or a Penalty Shoot Out 1st Round. Substitutions. Each team must have three lines each of 9 players, however only two may acutally play as one is designated as a reserve line. 8 players are subbed in at a time as the Stopper must play the whole game barring injury. The eight lines, can be changed on the fly or via timeout, but the team has 4 minutes to switch their whole line on the fly or be charged a penalty and must face a Showdown scoring oppurtunity (Showdowns are the Dunk based scoring attempts based on penalties and requiring a stoppage in game play). Each team is granted 5 timeouts for the entire game which do not reset at the end of halves, or stretches. In the event of a tie game at the end of regulation there will be rounds of Penalties taken to decide a winner. The first round will be a Sowdown Dunk Off, where three players from each team will have an oppurtunity to score. If the game is still tied the second round will be a thirty yard dash in which an attacking player will try and race across the score line to notch a touchdown without getting caught and tackled by a defender, this will also be limited to 3 players. In the event that it is still tied there will be a short 5 minute stretch in which the first score of any kind would resignate in a win. If by some chance the game remains tied after all of this, there is a penalty kicks round which will be held from 18 feet away from the goal. Here all players from each team will alternate kicks until one makes it through, the golden goal rule does apply here, and the first one in will win, however the scoreline will only reflect a 1 point loss.
