The Iglesian Archipelago decided to organise the Culturforum in its capital, Los Vientos, from mid 2008 to early 2009. There will be lots of music from every style, cinema, theatre, expositions, etc. At this time, Los Vientos will be the centre of the culture in the NationStates.

The Iglesian Archipelago is for now in problems because there are lots of events and then there are problems about the start and end dates of this cultural programme. There some of the proposals:

- 1st August, 2008 to 1st March, 2009 (the longest proposed date for now);
- 25th July, 2008 to 25th January, 2009;
- 20th August, 2008 to 20th February, 2009.

Although these dates, Los Vientos will be on that one of these start and end dates the centre of the culture in the NationStates.

That doesn't show much about the programme. Just like presenting a list of songs is not enough for a WorldVision, we want to see the songs before we vote on them. There doesn't seem to be any RP-ing here.

BTW, if you wanna continue this discussion, it would be best to do it thru TG's, so the thread doesn't get too flooded with OOC discussion.
Edward City
27-11-2008, 23:22
Edward City will be organising an exposition about the nation's history and it's future called 'Edward City: from the Tribes to the Federation and beyond', as well as a cult film exposition called 'Edwardian Movie Culture' with the following movies to be shown: 'The Shadow at the Balcony' (Horror:1995), 'The Camera' (Action: 2003), 'The Riverside Connection' (Drama: 2001), 'Clash of Worlds' (Science-Fiction: 1957), 'Overrun' (Horror: 2008), 'Me and You' (Romantic: 1998), 'Chase in the Port' (Comedy: 1989), 'Escape from Dead Island' (Horror: 2000), 'Starship Artemis' (Science Fiction: 1999) and 'The Final Hours of Battleship Agnora' (Action: 1968). More movies will be added soon.

Iglesian Archipelago
01-12-2008, 14:32
I'll announce that the countries' inscriptions will end in a month. After it, inviting artists from inscribed countries is OK!
Iglesian Archipelago
01-12-2008, 14:34
Also, I wanted to say that the "Christmas Book Fair" started and it will end on 6th January, 2009.

I wanted that broadcasters notice this happening, please!
Seven Castles
01-12-2008, 14:40
Can you invite Carlos Oliveira, a comediant from Castelo Alto, please?
Iglesian Archipelago
01-12-2008, 14:40

Iglesian Archipelago
12-12-2008, 16:47
Yes, but important things must also being described here.
Iglesian Archipelago
25-12-2008, 17:45
Hey, when Culturforum continues?
Iglesian Archipelago
27-12-2008, 21:38
LOOK AT TIME!!!!!! Look at the limit day of the inscriptions: it's 1st January!
Iglesian Archipelago
29-12-2008, 14:30
The preparations for the New Year at Culturforum started today. It's estimated that there will be space for 150 thousand people.
Swilatia
29-12-2008, 14:48
Well, we can't really RP this, since, well, we don't know how.

Also, Iglesian, a timescale of NS time = RL time in a multi-nation RP is not going to fly.
Iglesian Archipelago
29-12-2008, 14:54
But I prefer like this: I like travelling by RL world time.

But for the next edition I will think better about the time: then there will be not Culturforum 2010-2011, but yes Culturforum II, and from a different way to start, something the same as WorldVision: signups will be written before the starting of a new edition, with votes for hosting the edition.
Iglesian Archipelago
29-12-2008, 15:06
I will change an idea: the signups will be illimited and there will be no limit date, since we have no sufficient number of countries inscribed on the event on a part of NationStates.

But also I think it shouldn't have a limit date of signups on the next editions.
Swilatia
29-12-2008, 15:14
I'm not interested in taking a whole year to do this. That would be too long. Hell, signups for this have been going on for almost a year, it's high time we take steps toward closing them.

If you like RL time so much... your "Great War" thingy was about 6 years long. If you were to RP it, would you actually take the whole 6 years to do so? I wouldn't. I don't even think NS has been online for that long.

Also, what do you consider a "sufficient" number of countries? I could enter my puppets, but I don't know what to send for them.
Iglesian Archipelago
29-12-2008, 16:15
Let me think what I should do, please, and then let's do what I'm planning, if it's time to close or not.
Swilatia
29-12-2008, 17:16

You didn't answer my questions...
Iglesian Archipelago
29-12-2008, 21:08
Sufficient is a reasonable number of things: in this case, of nations.

The Great War is a thing of the Past, not the Present!

Due to the strong pressure of Swilatia to close this event, this edition of the Culturforum will end in the New Year Day. The Christmas illuminations are still illuminated until 6th January, but the Culturforum will close this edition in the first day of 2009.

I supposed that before the start it should be created a thread for the next host cities. The thread will be created today. Signups from another nations still can be made during the next event.
