Dear Prospective Universian,
Thank you for your interest in joining the Universitus community, the academic family which comprises Universitus University. Universitus University is the most prestigious, expansive, and recognized educational institution in all of Jey, located in the City of Universitus in the State of Domz. This memorandum has been assembled to ensure that our prospective Universians are well aware of the policies and procedures that Universitus has implemented regarding its admissions decisions. Before any details are provided regarding admissions, it is vital to acknowledge Universitus’ extreme competition among applicants. Universitus University is the most selective educational institution in Jey, processing several hundred million completed applications per cycle period. All information in this memorandum should be understood with these statistics in mind: adhering to our suggestions and procedures will only slightly increase one’s chances of admission.

I. A Note on Diversity
As prospective Universians will soon discover, Universitus is a very different school. Universitus is its own city—incorporated as The City of Universitus—and has over 7 million residents, including teachers, staff, administration officials, municipal officers, undergraduates, postgraduates, and Universitus Resident Alumni (URA). With such a large array of diverse individuals, it is particularly disadvantageous to Universitus to implement racial quotas in its admissions decisions, as any supposed diversity gained from such a policy would only add limited minority representation in our already racially diverse campuses. Universitus finds such racially-based policies to be inherently unfair to the disadvantaged racial group in the admission decisions, and sees no need for policies regarding the race of its students. In accordance with this belief, no questions appear on any Universitus application asking students, even optionally, to list their race. Further, it is strongly cautioned that students refrain from providing this information in subsequent areas of the applications, including essays.
With regard to socio-economic diversity, see Tuition and Financial Aid.
II. Tuition and Financial Aid
Universitus is a highly expensive institution and should generally not be sought extensively by those who are undergoing particular economic hardships. While financial aid exists in great amounts at Universitus, it is true that the resource is limited, and the particularly large costs of Universitus may still be too great to bear for some of its lower-income applicants. Though, as an institution with several hundreds of billions of Jeyas in endowment funds, many disadvantaged students in Jey are provided the ability to attend Universitus with no costs. Further, those of disadvantaged backgrounds will absolutely not be discriminated against in the admissions process. More than 75% of admitted students last cycle were afforded financial aid at Universitus, and 22% of students received full tuition. Still, financial aid remains a limited recourse as the administration continues to rely on tuition as a means to keep Universitus operational.
Universitus Tuition Information (Per Semester; Amounts in Jeyas)

III. Application Overview
As a first note: Universitus has no formal application deadlines. Applications will be accepted at any point, however, they will only be taken into consideration at the end of each Application Cycle—which takes 6 Jevian Years (or one Gregorian Calendar year). If one sends in an application immediately after a cycle, it is true that he or she will have to wait 6 full Jevian Years for a decision.
The application process, however, never ends. As one cycle is undergoing its reviewing processes, the applicants of the next cycle will be submitting their applications. The process itself takes 6 Jevian Years.
The process begins with the verification of Universitus Application Requirements.
Universitus Application Requirements (Undergraduate)
The applicant is a Jevian Citizen, living in Jey (For international prospective Universians, see International Students)
The applicant is at least 108 Jevian Years old (or 18 Gregorian Years)
The applicant has at least a 97.000% Grade Point Average (without rounding) in Graduate Education
The applicant is in Superior Standing in Graduate Education
The applicant has not been denied from Universitus University (Main Campus) previously
The next process in the application involves the Universitus Test (UT).
i. Universitus Test
The Universitus Test is the most rigorous test available in Jey. It covers all subjects mandatory in Jevian Graduate Education and requires a perfect score (100.0%) for further consideration by Universitus.
It is a 5-day test, from Thursday to Monday on a designated extended weekend by Universitus. Applicants will be informed one Jevian Year (2 months) prior to the date. No make-up exams are available, and the test is conducted at over 100 locations nation-wide.
The candidates do not return home until they have either failed (0% - 99.99%) or have completed the test perfectly. Instead, they reside at one of the 100+ local Universitus Satellite Facilities which offer the test. The test comprises 100 hours of work, with 4 hours provided each day for food and sleep. Each night, cuts are made of students who did not score perfectly in that day’s work, at which point they may return home. The cuts are provided electronically in a Viewing Room, listed as such in the following example from Day 2:
Name; Day 1 Score; Day 2 Score; Decision
Alvine, G.; 100.0%; 98.4%; REJECTED
Alvino, F.; 100.0%; 100.0%; Qualified for Day 3
Alwe, A.; 100.0%; 99.9%; REJECTED
Alyon, B. 100.0%; 86.4%; REJECTED
Alyon, V. 100.0%; 92.1%; REJECTED
Alyon, W. 100.0%; 100.0%; Qualified for Day 3
The test, as previously said, covers every topic mandatory in Jevian Graduate Education, including, but certainly not limited to, higher level mathematics, classical literature, fluency certifications in Jevian, English, and Latin, several natural and social sciences, among other subjects. The exam comprises a total of over 2,000 multiple-choice questions, over 100 essays, and several short answer questions. The subjective answers are graded by a team of 5 Universitus faculty members, who grade it individually and must agree that the candidate meets the highest grade criteria. Generally, multiple-choice questions dominate the first few days, to relieve the faculty graders of additional essays to grade. The test is conducted electronically for the multiple-choice questions, and on paper for the subjective essays. Though portions of the test are electronic, students will not be informed of any grade until the final tally in the Viewing Room for that day’s work.
If, at the end of the 5 days, the student has a 100.0% average score, he or she registers as a Universitus Test Completed Candidate, and proceeds to the subjective rounds of the application process.
ii. After the Universitus Test
The amount of students passing the UT with perfect scores is trending upward. Because of this, the subjective admissions decisions are increasingly important in the application process. This has caused plenty of dissatisfied UT Completed Candidates ultimately discovering their rejection from the school, though it is necessary to eliminate some students subjectively because Universitus is unable to accommodate the amount of students scoring perfectly on the UT at this time.
Students will be subjectively assessed based on their several recommendations, the 25 required essays of UT Completed Candidates following completion of the test, and the extracurricular activities. The candidates are argued over by the 1,000-member Universitus Faculty Admissions Board, who ultimately will agree on a class.
This is the last step in the process of joining Universitus University. If a student passes through the subjective process, he or she is officially accepted.
IV. International Students
Students who are not Jevian Citizens are not permitted to apply to Universitus’ Main Campus. However, there are many other options for international students hoping to find a Universitus education. International students commonly seek Universitus’ services through what are called Universitus International Campuses (UICs)—large facilities which host a very large array of classes in foreign nations, designed to provide its citizens with Universitus’ quality education. UICs are universities in themselves, and confer degrees and doctorates as does Universitus. UICs are typically named “Universitus-(Nation Name)”, such as “Universitus-Crescent Islet”.
There are over 475 Universitus International Campuses at the present time. Though, UICs are one of three ways that international students have commonly decided to pursue Universitus’ education.
International Student Pathways to Universitus Education
Enrollment at a Universitus International Campus
If a UIC does not exist in your nation, petitioning your governance or Universitus for the establishment of your nation’s UIC
Seeking Jevian Citizenship for potential enrollment at the Universitus Main Campus
Many international students have taken one of these three paths to a Universitus education successfully.
(Please Note: If you are a foreign national, representing a nation which may wish to establish a Universitus International Campus, please contact Universitus University directly, by telegram, and the construction of your UIC in your nation will begin at any time that is feasible to you, at no cost to your country or potential taxpayers.
Also Note: If you are a foreign citizen, from a nation which does not have any or does not have enough Universitus International Campuses by your judgment, please contact Universitus University directly, by telegram, and the logistics will be explored concerning the possibility of establishing an/more UICs in your nation.)
V. Continuing Education
Universitus also has several opportunities for nontraditional students of all backgrounds, as well as any student that, for whatever reason, cannot have access to a Universitus education. Continuing Education programs are available at thousands of locations throughout Jey, and confer several degrees from the Universitus Continuing Education Program (UCEP). Please contact your local Universitus Satellite Facility Representative about joining the UCEP locally. All candidates who meet the criteria for the UCEP are accepted—there are no admissions decisions, just requirement verification.
Please note that Universitus is undergoing the establishment of the International Branch of Continuing Education (IBCE), which will make Universitus International Continuing Education Campuses (UICECs) available to any nation which desires the construction of one or several, as prescribed by the IBCE.
This memorandum was assembled with the hope that its information will assist prospective Universians with the sometimes grueling process of applying to Universitus. If there is something you would like listed here, please contact Universitus directly to suggest an addition.
Should any prospective student have further questions about the process of applying, he or she should not hesitate to contact the local Universitus Satellite Facility Representatives with any concern or confusion.
Thank you again for your interest in joining the Universitus University community. The continuingly significant interest that prospective students have in Universitus is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rigorus Satact
