The Republic of Corivia proposes that a Football (soccer) Champions League should be formed. Comprising of the best team from a country's top tier competition. What are your thoughts?

There is already the TakilQuip Champions’ Cup (http://www.thirdgeek.com/tqcc/), emulating the format of the UEFA Champions League and involving the top four clubs from each nation (including a cup winner for some nations). Another competition involving only league champions would be redundant to this (and ICly, clubs already playing in the Champions’ Cup might be hesitant to participate due to fixture congestion). If you do want to start some sort of competition, you could have a friendly tournament similar to the RL Amsterdam Tournament (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amsterdam_Tournament) or the NS Tournoi Invitation Raoul-Chagnon played between the champions of four leagues.
