Raython-Veltar Arms Goes Public
John P Ryan, Foreign Affairs Editor
Cyprian Circle armaments company Raython-Veltar Arms went public today. Currently in possession of fifteen to twenty (exact number unknown) of the international community's best starship and fighter designs, from celebrated entities such as the Neue Berlin arms conglomerate, the company looks to be off to a good start.

The Commonwealth and Territorial Navy is rumoured to have aided in designing the Sentinel-class light weapons escort - an allegedly Neue Berlin contribution to the Circle. What this newspaper could confirm, however, is that James Bovill, General Secretary of the Commonwealth and Territories, currently holds a five percent share of the company's stocks. This has caused widespread outrage in the Commonwealth Assembly, with the main principle seeming to be something along the lines of "Government officers should not be affiliated with anything other than the Government". Mr Bovill has fought back, however, with a statement that should he adhere to that he would have to immediately terminate all public servants' bank accounts.

The Kewen Hivemind is also rumoured to own five percent of Raython-Veltar's stocks, through a proxy whose entry on the Raython-Veltar website's shareholder list is "Weiylen Utani". It is not known whether this is an individual (although Kewen names typically consist of a string of numbers followed by a letter) or a state corporation.

Major international players involved in Raython-Veltar include the Authority of Cypria (unsurprisingly), the Kewen Hivemind (see above), and the United Terran Federation, which has contributed a large portion of the company's design complement.
