Rennidan, Industrial Sector - In one of the many abandoned warehouses, something crazy is going down.

People from around the world are gathering for a game of pure luck. A game whos origins are somewhat blurry, yet the outcome of each game is always clear.

Russian Roulette.

Probably the deadliest game of chance.

And it's World Championships are now open.

Right, basically, this is just for a bit of fun. As the game itself is nothing but pure chance, RP bonus and the like can't really be factored in. So, all it comes down to is a simple number generation.

It'll be scorinated like this: First a number between 1 and 6 will be generated, this will be the revolver's chamber being spun. Then, for your entrant, I will generate another number between 1 and 6. If it ends up being the same number as before, boom. You lose. If not, the chamber is spun again (meaning a new number is generated) and it moves on to the next contestant.

No skill, no modifiers. Just a game of pure luck.

This here is your basic all-round thread. Sign-ups, queries, any RP you want to make will all go in here. How this'll all be laid out and ran depends really on how many people sign up.

All you really need to enter someone is their name, but to be honest, it'd probably be a bit more fun to make a small biography for the character. Give everyone a bit of depth, so if they lose, you'll feel it that little bit more.

I realize that this is a very odd thing to make a world championship on (probably shows I'm a bit sick in the head, actually), but afterall, this is just for fun.

I would like to present to the community, Chuck Lowsky. He will be our competitor this year.

I'll fill this out shortly.

Walter "Wally" Rahman, the Starblaydi inventor of Extreme Jaywalking (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=326727), among other ludicrous "sports", is a man obsessed with danger.

Not content with lion-wrestling, base-jumping, car-dodging and being on the wrong end of pro-am wrestling, he is always looking for the next adrenalin rush from risking his life. He casts the die more often than most, with his latest efforts being parachuting into and free-running through the 'dangerous animals' section of the Praetoran Jhanna Zoo whilst selling bloodied raw meat. With cuts and scars suitably healed, and cash to pay for a skin graft or two, he now knows what the real rush is...

...and he could be the World Champion at it. Brilliant.

Walter typed up his application in a lightning storm, risking his entire computer if a bolt struck his house, making sure he'd switched off the spell checker. Risky. He printed off the application form and popped it in an envelope, timing how long it took him to lick the sealant strip and fold it down. He gave himself a minor paper cut on his tongue, but that was risk, baby! Crossing the road without looking, as always, he was narrowly missed by the postal truck that was pulling up to the curb. Slipping the envelope into the box mere seconds before the postal worker collected the letters, he walked straight across the road, clipping his shoulder on a passing oil truck's wing mirror.

Life is a dangerous game, and Walter lived it to the full.

A hastily-assembled coalition at the Meadow Glade apartment building has filled out the requisite paperwork on behalf of "that guy with the typewriter and the accent in 237".

IC: L1011Tristars will send Boris Blitzmanov. Blitzmanov is a noted political prisoner in the Tristars.

Rennidan itself will be sending in Dan Denglefield, a prisoner on death row due to a rather nasty triple homicide at a circus (apparently, the clowns started it).

Dan himself didn't enter the competition, but the prison guards had had enough of him beating them up.

25-year old Chris Marshall will represent Newmanistan.

One day, when Chris was 21, his friends wanted to go to a local casino. Chris wanted to go, but he had no money, just seven dollars to his name and his friends had money. Still, it could be fun, so Chris went and said he would just go all or nothing at a blackjack table with it and just hang out with his buddies the rest of the time. Well, Chris won. He did it again. He won again, and again. Then he played other games, and won. Won more and more. Six hours later, his friends were broke and went looking for Chris, surely he would have spent the seven dollars by now. They found him, and saw that Chris had worked his way up to seven..... thousand dollars. Since then, he's always been a gambler.

(OOC: This is based somewhat on a real life story of mine when I went to casino with just seven bucks with my friends and ended up walking out with $500 when they had none.)

25 year old Fujifusa Saga is a self-proclaimed conspiracy theorist who believes he’s being followed and tracked by federal intelligence agents. He also states that a “higher power” told him to apply to prove to the world that if he somehow survives, he is the chosen one to save all of humanity. Saga says he struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts which he atributes to government mind control.

Osman The Weiner has been forced into the competition by bullies at the age of 17
