After looking at this thread http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=549999 I have decided to try my hand at scorinating this.

Here's how it will run.

I will Be using the famous NR2003 Racing Game Software to scorinate. Each time a driver wins he will be given a 5 point bonus to all 12 of the rating categories in the game. Any good Rps will get 2 bonus points while okay one will get one.

As for Scheduling. The NSSCL will be travilling to each Nation that signs-up to determine the track (OOC:I am somewhat Limited to which kinds of tracks I can use so You may not be able to have the track u wanted.)

Nations can have two teams max while puppets only get one.

Fill in this sheet to sign up.

I'm a bit confused about what type of Stock Car you mean. Is this like NASCAR, or like dirt oval racing, or what? Where I come from (NZ), stock cars are winged hatchbacks on a smallish dirt oval, but you could well mean something like NASCAR, or some entire other thing.

OOC: Based on the software he's planning to use, I'd say with some certainty this will be NASCAR.

I'd like to take part, but I'd need more information on the scorinating first.

OOC: i think he'll just add the names of those drivers to the game he's talking about and just let them auto-race. I've played one of those games and i liked it. I don't know the specific rules because i'm European... But i'll just sign up, what the heck.

Stockcars going global

Another measure has today been taken to boost the country's fragile economy. The government has announced that 2 drivers will be going to the NS Stockcar League. Of course, the government would have liked to be able to run a national championship to find the best drivers, but it seems that this will not be possible due to the fact that it will be taking place very soon, and there won't be enough time. So a combination of past records and a lucky draw will decide the winner.

Stockcar drivers decided

The votes have been counted. The slip of paper drawn. The die cast. The stone fallen. The drivers decided for the NS Stockcar League. The Sports ministry of the government has just decided on the 2 drivers for the national stockcar team to represent us at the NSSL. The vote was supervised by the great stockcar legend, Hugh Tyson. The lucky winners of national nomination for the NSSL are:

#27 - John Foster from the Ungban Annihilators, driving a Holden, and

#28 - Greg Daniels from the Central Conquerors, driving a Ford.

Sportscast!

Luke Garrett Welcome to PSN1, you're watching Sunday Sportscast with me Luke Garrett. On this mornings program we'll be taking a look at the upcoming State Cricket Championship, with umpire Darryl Anderson in the studio. Then we'll go to Sandra Duport to see what happened when she met up with the Pablicosta Titans before they leave for Rennidan. Finally, we catch up with Trevor Sadie who's with Dan Koutcher ahead of Pablicosta's long awaited return to the World Cup.
But up first, it was revealed today that Pablicosta will be represented in the upcoming Stock Car Championship starting in United Hetzel. Seth and Trent Harker, racing brothers and IvoryMotorCorp Rivals will be competing in what could prove to be the worlds premier stock championship. I caught up with Seth earlier today with IMC's RTrack Racing team leader Alan Grey for a short interview trackside.

Luke Garrett I'm here at Secula Raceway, home of RTrack where the Harker brothers are testing ahead of the competition. They've been here since 8 this morning, and as you can see, Trent's #99 car is still flying round the circuit, that's a real worth ethic. Seth, why aren't you still out there with him?[/i]

Seth Harker Ha, thanks for that Luke. No, Trent still isn't 100% happy with the setup on that car, so he's staying out there to work it through with his pit crew. I'm happy with my car, and so is Alan here, so I think we're good to go.

Luke Garrett So it's not that he's desperate to beat his older brother this time?

Seth Harker Well I'm sure, Hell, I know there's a lot of that in it. We're both really competitive, and getting one up on your brother is always great, but the points have to come first. Trent knows that too, we're not gonna push each other out of a race over a little sibling rivalry.

Luke Garret Right. Alan, are you pleased with how things are going?

Alan Grey Things are going great Luke, we've got all the major kinks worked out and tweaked a few things here and there. Both cars are in good shape, and these drivers are the best we've seen in years. I wouldn't rule out a Pablicosta 1,2 at this point.

Luke Garrett About that Alan, are you racing for Pablicosta or IMC?

Alan Grey Well, we're all Pablicostan. At the end of the day, that's who's watching, that's where our fans are, so yeah, you could call us Team Pablicosta. On top of that, although IMC has developed the cars and trained the guys, The Pablicosta Sports Commission has granted us National Status, so we're racing for Pablicosta and getting a lot of investment from the commission. It's a great working arrangement we've got here.

Luke Garrett Alan, you've already suggested that you think success is on the cards, how do you rate your chances Seth?

Seth Harker Oh, we're in good shape and we're committed. We're not going out there to come second, we're gonna push for the win all day every day. I think we can do it.

Luke Garrett Well, we'll all be behind you, and I know you'll be putting on a great show if nothing else. We'll catch up with you guys closer to Race 1.

Controversy Erupts in Maryville Speed Bowl Pre-season Practice

Maryville, Bount Island- Controversy erupted in todays test session for the NSSCRL today during there first presaeson Testing. 20 Minutes into the session Pablicostian driver Seth Harker made contact with Newmanistani driver Courtney Kelso. Kelso slid into the infield where she came
back on track and bodyslammed Harker, sending them both spinning. Both drivers were called to the Control trailer in the infield for a talk afterwards. That ended up being the only dim spot in a day dominated on the charts by Pablicosta. While on the oppisite spectrum New CImeran drivers Maxil and Herbin Welgar were slowest

the top-5 in practice times.

Presenting the Southamptonshirian Stock Car Racing Team.

The Southamptonshirians love their racing. Automobile racing, you see, is our national sport. The leader of the nation, Council Chairperson Joey Adgie, is a race car driver himself. "It's the greatest sport in the world," he said.

The team was introduced today.

#81 - Joey Adgie (age 44)
There will doubtless be a lot of controversy over the selection of Southamptonshire's leader to drive the main car for the NS Stock Car League. The team principal, David Shires, stated that "Adgie is one of the finest drivers in our nation. He's got the right mix of aggression and patience, and we think he'll lead the nation to a few wins."

#82 - Drake Arbuckle (age 19)
Perhaps one of the finest up-and-coming drivers in the world, Drake, the little brother of Nick Arbuckle, an offensive guard on the Southamptonshire Football Club, was selected by the racing organization, because, according to team principal David Shires, "He is the driver of the future here in this nation. He is the driver who I truly think can beat the world. He demonstrates maturity and intelligence far beyond his 19 years, and will more than likely win a lot of races for us."

RTrack Mobile Headquarters, Maryville Speed Bowl.

Seth Harker's 98 car jerked as it was lifted 7 feet into the air on the back of an RTrack support truck where it was to be held after each session. The Harker brothers had just completed setting the track on fire, blazing there cars up above 97.6 miles per hour, the fastest speed achieved by any of the competitors. The support team for the Harkers were all dressed in full black race suits with either "S.Harker" or "T.Harker" stitched in red over the left breast. Most of the staff had taken time out from analysing the practice laps to congratulate the brothers on some fantastic racing, and they proceeded to welcome Trent back to the support area, somewhat of a heroes welcome for the fastest man in NASCAR.

Seth Harker had changed from his race gear to a pair of oily jeans to welcome his brother back to the paddock, doing so with a smile and some gentle applause. Things were pretty calm, until Trent pulled up right in front of the support crew and stamped the throttle, spinning up the tyres and filling the tent pitched outside with smoke before he stepped out. "Seth, you still can't catch me eh?"

Seth returned a hard glare towards Trent, before quipping; "Saving myself for race day, I want to savour that moment in front of everyone"

"Right, yeah" returned Trent, "Nice crash?"

Man, she's hot but she drives like a woman. On a hot lap and she tries to take me out? What the hell?". Seth was clearly pretty wound up about the way the tours female driver slammed him on her return to the track, resulting in Seth being called for a brief inquiry.

Before Trent and Seth could continue there brotherly chat, team leader Alan Grey came out of the Analysis Vehicle wearing a headset, "Right boys, 5 minutes. I want you changed and in the AV, I want these speed up!.

Seth and Trent looked at each other, rolled their eyes before heading into the van behind Grey for the traditional in depth run down of every lap.

MEDIA FRIES ADGIE FOR CHOOSING TO RACE
Wonders about ability to handle day-to-day operations of nation on top of full-time driving schedule

ATLANTA, SOUTHAMPTONSHIRE - Today, members of the Southamptonshirian media took Council Chairperson (and head of state) Joseph Adgie for choosing to run full-time in the NS Stock Car Series alongside his duties running the day-to-day operations of Southamptonshire.

Adgie, who was testing with teammate Drake Arbuckle at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, addressed the media on the matter.

"Just because I am going around to multiple nations to race doesn't mean that I won't keep tabs on what's important with this nation. I've had multiple people in my ear all day talking about the pros and cons of military spending. I've had some far-left anti-nuke anti-military people telling me that Southamptonshire needs to stay a peaceful place. I see where they're coming from. However, what if someone chooses to invade us? I'm somewhat in between a rock and a hard place here. Not to mention the fact that I have to race full-time as well. Juggling these two full-time jobs is indeed going to be one hell of a challenge. I personally think I'm up for it."

Drake Arbuckle had this to say:

"I'm only 19, but Joey is the most workaholic person I've met. He's calm, composed, and as cool as a cucumber. Personally, I think he's up for the task."

Changing the subject, Drake said:

"We've been testing a number of different cars. We're not sure yet if we want to use Chevy Monte Carlos, or Buick Lucernes, or what. We're trying to figure out the pros and cons, aero-wise, and handling-wise, of each car. We've brought so many different kinds of cars, and we're going to have to go to multiple tracks to see what car would be best suited for the task."

Today, Adgie and Arbuckle tested an estimated fifteen different types of car to try to see which car would be the one they would use. In the end, however, the entire team decided that "We have no idea what the hell car we're using," Adgie said.

"I just can't wait for this to be over, and for the season to be underway," he said. "I want to race."

Kelso apologizes to Seth Harker

In a brief statement, Courtney Kelso apologized to Seth Harker for the incident, and accepted full blame for it: "I got real loose coming off turn 2, and I was going to spin out, I tried to save it and my spotter was a little slow to warn me that Seth's car was on the inside, and we made contact. I apologize but its the first practice of the season, and we all got to get experience out here. Those things happen sometimes and we'll work to get it right. Other then that, the car tested real well, especially after we took out a couple rounds (of wedge)."

The head of Newmanistan NSSCRL entry Shawn Astley called the entity's decision to call both drivers to the trailer an overreaction in a statement: "Are we setting the precedent that every time two cars touch, they're going to be called to the trailer? This is racing. It should be pretty clear on the replays that Courtney had a handling issue. And she was never confrontational about it. She apologized. Let the drivers race. It's what we refer to in Newmanistan as a "racing incident".

OOC: Noes! My Chevies, we must abandone them!

Henk Vandaag just finished his last lap on the Nethertesttrack. He looked happy. He'd left Romeo Tillenburg minutes behind him.

Romeo now finished his last round. He quickly drove to the pit-stop and threw his helmet away. He's always been the tempered one. "Man," he said, "why're you quicker than me... I've been practising for hours last week and i've beaten you before!"
"I just made some adjustments to my car. I still don't like the fact that we're going to have to drive in Pontiacs," replied Henk. He grinned. "Look what's comeing over there... Groupies."

Some girls walked towards the two drivers. Henk gave Romeo one last look and sprinted towards the group. He had the looks. Romeo was a rather average guy, a grey mouse off the track. But he was spirited in his car and would really want to at least beat his arrogant trainee the upcoming season. Henk on the other hand was a charming guy. 6ft tall, blond and arrogant. He knows exactely what he's capable of. Romeo envied him for it.

Henk left the track with the group of girls. Romeo felt like he was alone, despite the fact that there was a whole technical team around him. He sighed. He took a cigarette, lighted it and stepped though the main gate with the crew, leaving the track empty behind him.
