Ravenna, Californian Territory of Ravenna, Haven.
Ravennaean Governor Alicia Andrews grit her teeth at the news, the fact that APOC forces would be mobilizing within the area pissed her off. Since Californian Forces arrived in the area with 30 million settlers, engineers, and medical officers and settled the city of Ravenna within two months with a population of 1.2 million, the city had been growing at an exponential rate. The Port of Ravenna was by far the colony's greatest accomplishment allowing the city to take on cargo from dozens of ships, with the several destroyers and frigates at anchor in the bay they figured that was all they would need. Gov. Andrews realized she would need to get more forces in the area, and quick.

Commander Marcus Williams chomped his cigar in disgust as he took the call from the governor, after having the CAGF Corps of Engineers had been working around the clock paving the runways, building the barracks and setting up bunkers in the hills miles and miles south of the Ravenna-Holy Marsh border. His response to her call was more calm than hers earlier "We'll get on the horn with the bellhops and ground stompers on the mainland and see if they could speed up the reinforcement process. We should be getting some more flyboys here soon too, as well as some more fighters to get ourselves some more fighter wings to help reinforce the area." She nodded even though she knew he couldn't see her doing so.

Lt. General Jean Marshall's face popped on the DVS just as she was on her way to the shower "Sorry to bother you with this, but our colony in Haven has just wired a message to us asking for some help in reinforcing the colony against a possible threat from APOC forces in the region. Clutching her bathrobe around herself closely she nodded "You have my full authorization to reinforce Ravenna with whatever means necessary. I don't want our people there caught without protection."

Three weeks later several ships of the Californian Navy Marine Forces (CNMF) sailed into Ravenna bay after several weeks at sea with shitty weather and having to lash down the cargo to make sure it stayed put, after what seemed like an eternity the ships made port. Shortly thereafter scores of ships began unloading their cargo at the docks in Ravenna's port city, hundreds of F/A-25E Phoenix MRF fighter jets to be sent to Nord Ven AFB.

Governor Andrews smiled when she heard the news... within the week, California would send Ravenna 7.5 million troops and 100,000 Nakíl 1A3HA tanks. Unfortunately, she knew that they would never arrive in time.

OOC: Several problems that I can spot with this thread, and others might note more. One, its poor form to post in a different forum to try and avoid anyone noticing. Everything else APOC-NATO has been in II, why should this not be? Two, many nations within Haven itself can't make it to Ravenna in a week. How do you plan on making it there when your homeland isn't even in Haven? Finally, fluid time wise this doesnt stand up. The OP in this thread was posted nearly 24 hours after Questers delivered the ultimatum to Gholgoth and NATO (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=553750) and this being posted today don't line up with the fluid timetable. You can't just have troops appear magically in your colony. Either you are prepared to defend your assets or you aren't. Fluid time wise these guys will arrive, but even if they only take a week to get there as you say, a lot of the fighting will be done already. Note how much was accomplished during four days in the Four Day War. That brings us back to my second point of contention, that you are not as close as you claim. If you are claiming that they had traveled between the OP and the second post, well, then tack that time onto the fluid timing when transferring this to the actual conflict. The OP also mentions something about ships arriving three weeks later. Same argument as above. OP came after Questarian ultimatum, and must conform to the same fluid time. Ships may arrive three weeks later; wether or not Ravenna still exists by three weeks later is a different matter entirely.
