Hi guys,
What are those acronyms like FT or MT in RP thread titles?

FT = "Future Tech" or basically Sci-Fi.
MT = "Modern Tech" which has a ridiculously loose definition, and basically covers a period from "now" to about 2025, and also has the sub genre of "Post-Modern-Tech" which largely deals with weapons that are being experimented on now being deployed en mass.

Actually I've seen MT - Modern Tech -also sent backwards to weapons and tech from the 50's and even WWII. To me it's everything you can find in the stores ( or military ) today plus a couple of years up the line- Some of the Clancey and Dale Brown tech
I don't consider PMT - Post Modern Tech - a sub cataqgory. I would define it as tech under development with deplyoment aimed for 2012 plus a touch up thru tech suggested for the 2050's - some people consider it as any tech that is less that FTL level.
It'd the most flexible and the most wanked, in my opinion.
One cann't call FT - Future Tech - wanked as it's all speculative
