Don't know if there is one already, but if there is its probably dead by now, so here's a thread dedicated to posts about domestic Hockey Leagues.

QHL 1940 Season (Regular Season Jan 4th- April 12th. Playoffs began April 16th)

The ingaugural Season of the Qazox Hockey League, brought upon its win in the 4th World Cup of Hockey, and possible bid to host the 6th WC of Hockey, began its first season with 9 teams, as Gothika's franchise failed to meet mininum season ticket holding standards (5,000). Gothika did meet the mininum for the 2nd season, and will begin play in 1941.
The QHL plays 3 20-minute periods and a 10-minute OT. If teams are tied after OT, then a Best of 5 Shootout determines the winner. If still tied after Best of 5 Shootout, then shootout will continue until a winner is determined. In the Playoffs, OT is sudden death with 20-minute periods. A regulation, OT or Shootout win is worth 2 points, while a Shoot-out loss is worth 1 point. No points are given for an OT loss. The playoffs all are best of 5 with the top 4 teams facing off in the semifinals, with the winners playing for the Grant Cup, named after League Founder, Horace J. Grant.
