The Herculiad (a.k.a. NS Inaugural Strongman Competition)

Let's start with the out-of-character pre-amble. About a fortnight ago, I was horribly sick with some sort of food poisoning and, excepting trips to the toilet to either vomit or crap my guts you, I was confined to my bed on the grounds that...well, I was ill and my lectures are intensely boring. With nowt else to do, I began to appreciate the joys of daytime television, and not long after that I realised that if I was enjoying daytime TV, I was probably delirious and so switched to the various sports channels to take my mind off the dreck that was This Morning. That was when I came across the World's Strongest Man contest being held in some Scandinavian country, I don't remember, and I enjoyed it immensely. Don't ask me why, I was delirious at the time. So, at about the time you may be asking "where is this going", when I was thinking of something to do here on this corner of the interwebs, one of the little voices in my head said "why not do a strongman contest?" So here we are, the NationStates world's first ever Herculiad - it's like the Olympiad and Hercules combined.

I have a fairly simple system already worked out for the various events, but before I bother going any further into it, I want to find out if anybody is actually willing to participate. Because, after all, participation is the thing that makes the world go round. Don't listen to the silly bankers, it's not money. So...yeah. I may as well make this the sign-up phase as well, come to think of it, so if you are willing to join, fill out this form.
