The Starblaydi Football Association presents:
The Third Di Bradini Cup
An Under-21 International Tournament

After the success of the Inaugural (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=537637) and Second (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=540605) Di Bradini Cups - and a massive 'thank-you' to everyone who has actively got involved in them - the Starblaydi Football Association presents another edition of its own Under-21 international tournament. Named after Starblaydia's most-famous player, the first person to score for Starblaydia's own Under-21s, the fourth-highest goalscorer in Starblaydia's history, member of the World Cup Hall of Fame and one President of the World Cup Committee. For Simeone Di Bradini, we present, for your participation: The Third Di Bradini Cup!.

Last time out defending champions Elves Security Forces had a nightmare, while Candelaria And Marquez emerged to take the title over St Samuel. The Pazhujeb Islands did well in reaching fourth, but not as good as Popay who took third. Jeruselem even managed to threaten in the last-eight with an all-male team.

Time-wise, this tournament is designed to be a Pre-WC39 tournament, 4 years after the last Di Bradini Cup.

SIGN-UPS ARE OPEN

OOC: A few points about this: KPB rank and finishing positions in the previous tournament will play a very minor role in this - having a good senior squad should mean you're producing good young players, but then again having a comparatively great U21 squad doesn't always mean a lot when they grow up.

This tournament will be very much influenced by RP, unless the scorinator decides to come down harshly on you, RP = teh win.

I'll be using a modified version of my old Rugby Union scorinator, which has a massive RP Bonus - if you've posted 3 great RPs and your opponent none at all, you'll probably win 6- or 7-0. 3 Great RPs each, and it might be 1-0 or 2-1. Simple, it's the difference between the two teams' RP bonuses that counts.

I will be scorinating all results and I will be participating fully. I'm not desperate enough to win my own cup by cheating during the scorination, if I wanted that I'd just RP my own cup with just my puppets. If you don't like it that way, don't enter, 'cos you'll only complain later if I happen to do well :)

Hey, this might sound REARLY stupid but I was just wandering, does U21 mean anyone who is 21 and under or only under 21? (Basicly must be 20 or younger) because I've never been to sure on that rule.

Twenty-one or under. And no, I've no idea why either.

Indeed, I believe in RL the players must be 21 or under at the time of the start of the qualifying tournements, for things like the Uefa Under-21 Cup. If I've not gone compleatly mad, I think Nigel Reo-Coker was twenty-three at the time he actually played for England in the finals tournement earlier this year.

Probably best to ignore that, though...

Players should be twenty-one years of age, or less.

C&M is right about Reo-Coker, too as RL U21 tournaments have a set date on which players competing must have been 21 or under at the time. When that date is two years before a tournament, however... *sigh*
