(The eld thread died, so i re-eopened the signups)
So, this is baisically like eurovision. Same basic structure, although this is on NS, and nations of any region can join. If you do not know what Eurovision is, you can find info on it here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovision).
How does this work: Everyone signs up in this thread, like you do for a world cup (simple "we sign up" post). then in the rp thread there will be 2 waves of rp's. In the first, posts shold give a description of the national final, and show the title of the nation's song and its artist. In the second wave, everyone posts their show. This should include what happens on the stage and that kind of stuff, and must include the lyrics, unless you post a video, wich gives you the ultimate nerd award, or post an MP3, which will put you close to getting the ultimate nerd award. Do not use artists/songs that exist in RL (parodies are okay, as long as enough is changed). Voting will be done IC, so you shoulld post your votes in the thread at that time, the way its done in eurovision ( giving the best songs (in your opinion) points, the best 12, second best 10, then next 8, then 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1.

Kura-Pelland would host WorldVision 4 at the Unity Arena, Trilan. This is located in the city centre, and is very easily accessed from the city's airport. Capacity exceeds 20,000 and sophisticated facilities are available (though there are relatively stringent limitations on the use of strobes and other flashing lights). Extensive use of neon and video screens is likely.
The country is noted for its support of the WorldVision concept and of its appreciation for music all over the world, as well as holding experience of hosting major events - the Cup of Harmony, and soon the World Cup as well (along with Vephrall). We firmly believe we can organise an efficient and wonderful show.

The Imperial Grand Duchy of Schnitzelfest hereby proclaims that it shall enter WorldVision 4
Not only this, but Schnitzelfest would like to place a hosting bid for WorldVision 4 *more info will be provided on the possible location and facilities soon*
We are quite capable to host such an event, we have gained experiance from hosting such previous events as the Miss Rineu 07 Competition, which was one of the biggest regional events ever experianced in Rineu and resulted in the production of various multimedia such as movies, posters, banners, images. With the entire event being in intense role play
Minilla Island has beared witness and even participated in this event, so will be glad to endorse me for the hosting bid ;)

Khenas Royal Broadcasting Service - WorldVision Group Khenas Host Bid
http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/9486/worldvision4fs3.png
If we are chosen to host the contest, We will do so in Khenas National Stadium, a newly built stadium in Khenas City. Located in the city centre, the stadium is only a short walk away from the city's central station, and reaching the stadium from the airport is also not expected to be a problem. The stadium's normal capacity is 65000 people, although placing the stage will lower the capacity for the contest.
The contest itself will be on a Stage disigned for visibility, representation of Khenas, and to make use of electronic features (lights, video screens, etc), and will have popular Khenian songs presented at some between some entries. However, we do not plan to include any plays, movie scenes, or anything in that category.
We also assure all countries in the contest that will not repeat the KRMB's mistake of attempting to censor the songs in the contest.

If the Schnitzelfest bid is successful The WorldVision 4 Compeition will be held in the 15,000 seat Berliner Entertainment & Exhibition Centre (B.E.E.C.) in Berliner, Schnitzelfest. The B.E.E.C. is located in the centre of Berliner city in the parklands along the Uberwienerbahn River. Transportation to the venue can be done so via walking, ferry, bus, or the expansive subway system - special shuttle buses will be operating to various venues throughout the competition. The available seating will be divided by the amount of contestants +1, with each entrant having an equal amount of seats available for sale in its home nation. The extra division (plus any seats that dont sell) will be sold online to anyone from another nation. In Centre entertainment facilities include multiple large screens behind and around the stage as well as LED lighting in the floor and along the roof. There will also be alot of lasers, fog machines, wind machines, confetti and glitter canons and electronic flame dancers. If you dont get a seat it wont be the end of the world. There will be dedicated places all around the city of Berliner where big screens will be set up to broadcast the event. As well as this there will be all day performances by Regional bands and acts to keep the crowd entertained all day, and firework displays at night. There will also be food stands, parades, markets and many other activities happening around the city throughout the running of the competition. Berliner has ample room in all its city hotels, all of which are 3 1/2 Stars and above. To get to Berliner, Schnitzelfest you can fly with Air Rineu, the national air carrier to Berliner International Airport which is located just west of the city and is connected via bus and subway. Air Rineu will be flying direct flights to all contestant nations to Berliner during the competition.

*** If we are selected as hosts for WorldVision4 we will be implementing a totally new electronic voting system where contestants can easily select who gets the correct amount of points from an easy drop down menu. And all results can be accessed LIVE as it comes in - with a clear indication of who is winning and who is yet to vote ***

Official Press Release - Alexandrian Ptolemais Music Association
The Empire would like to enter a singer into the World Vision 4 competition. Our absence was sorely felt in World Vision 2 and 3, and mostly took place due to internal issues faced by the Alexandrian Ptolemais World Vision Organising Committee and their attempts to discipline Thomas Henderson over his conduct in the first competition. The APWVOC was dissolved earlier this month, allowing a new body to take over and we have decided to take the action mentioned above.
We also wish to note that Thomas Henderson will be one of our judging representatives.

We plan to have a single-stage competion, like the previous contests if less then 25 nations are signed up. If we have 25 or more nations, the contest will consist of two rounds: the final and the semi-final. The host country, the four countries with best results in the last contest will automatically qualify for the final, while all other nations will start in the semi-final, from which 10 nations will qualify for the final.

Woah! I did not expect to win that!
(is glad this isn't a massively nasty one to host and is largely freeform, because hosting it alongside the WC would be a bitch otherwise...)
And now; the RP thread for the national qualifiers! (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=543750)
