The Heilige Konservatives Reich of Der Teutoniker (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/DerTeutonikershieldcolour2.jpg?t=1192557364)
Government: Industrial Dictatorship led by: König Magnus (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/dwarfking.jpg?t=1192559022)
Population: ~3.7 Billion Dwarves, ~75 Million Humans
The Land of Der Teutoniker:
Der Teutoniker consists largely of mountainous terrain, however, it also includes a substantial area of grassland. The Dwarves live almost exclusively in the mountains, while the humans live almost exclusively in the grassland. While the Dwarves mine, and smith their quality goods, the humans are mostly farmers who, being part of the Dwarven nation, are able to sell their excess food at low prices in exchange for Dwarven protection, and cheap Dwarven craftwork.
Economy:
The Dwarven economy is a simple, yet complex machine. The Dwarves mine more than enough gold for themselves, and receive needed goods in exchange for gold (and other precious materials), as well as Dwarfcraft items, most commonly weapons, and armour.
Trade is afocal point of the Dwarven economy, especially sea-bound trade, due in large part to the harsh Dwarven climes, as well as the distance to some of the farther nations. The Dwarven Naval network consists of five hundred ships (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/longboat.jpg?t=1192716780) that each carry an equal congingent of marines as the only form of protection, or naval military force. Dwarven merchants are not privatized, but rahter, they are hired directly by the Dwarven government, and share in the profits that otherwise would go straight to the Dwarves, and not into private hands.
Armies of Der Teutoniker:
Professional armed force: 24,550,000 (0.65% total population)
Regular Infantry: 14,000,000
Regular Arbalestiers : 7,000,000
Marines: 50,000
Black Guard: 3,000,000
Sturmzwergen: 500,000
Militia force:37,000,000 (1% total population)
Militia Infantry: 22,000,000
Militia Crossbowmen: 15,000,000
Regular Infantry (http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/th_Reginf-1.jpg): Consist of well-trained Dwarven recruits. They are typically equipped with chain mail, scale mail, or breastplates that are lacquered a matte red colour so as to reflect as little light as possible, yet make them easily discernible to friendly soldiers. Regular infantry soldiers are also equipped with helms that are lacquered red. They are broken down into squads of two hundred and fifty soldiers, each of which is led by a squad commander, who has a black lacquered anvil on the left breast of their armour (squad commanders always have breastplates). Dwarven regular infantry are known to carry a variety of large, hafted melee weapons, most often a large battleaxe, warhammer, or flanged mace. Squads are grouped per twenty, called battalions, with the 'twentieth squad' having one additional leader, a Battalion Commander, denoted by full-plate armour, and a thin black horse-hair plume that is attached to the top of his helm. Armies contain twenty regular infantry battalions (to equal one hundred thousand soldiers) along with five regular arbalestier battalions, a General leads each army, and is denoted by full-plate armour, with both the anvil, and a gauntleted fist, lacquered onto his right breast, along with a long golden horse-hair plume spouting from the general's helm.
Regular Arbalestiers (http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/th_regarb-1.jpg): Equipped with large crossbows that are too powerful to be drawn by hand, and require a crank to pull the string back. Well-trained, and lightly armoured, these soldiers form the the backbone of ranged Dwarven combatants. Their armour consists of red-dyed studded leather, and a helm. They are organized into groups in the same fashion as regular infantry, and are even included in and infantry army. They also carry small close combat weaponry, such as handaxes, or smaller warhammers.
Marines (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/marine.jpg?t=1192556045): These soldiers accompany naval merchants in the protector role. The Dwarves lack a military naval force, and instead each merchant ship is outfitted with a small contingent of Dwarven marines. One hundred marines are stationed per merchant ship. The are clad in lighter mail armour to give both mobility, and protection. Their armour is lacquered in light blue, to set them apart as a military unit. They are equipped with both light crossbows, and, and medium sized melee weaponry.
Black Guard (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/blackguard.jpg?t=1192556047): These are among the most elite soldiers in t he world. Hand picked for their natural prowess, and trained until they become monstrous killing machines. These soldiers are primarily charged with defense of Dwarven lands, although a few conflicts have seen them abroad to capture enemy fortifications, or when regular infantry units become sparse. They are equipped in full plate armour that is lacquered black, to both inspire fear in enemies, and allow Dwarven military personnel to recognize them, and show proper respect. They carry large melee weapons, and are well-trained in their use.
Sturmzwergen (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/brentjungclaus/sturmzwerg.jpg?t=1192556053): These are the most elite of all Dwarven combat units. Selected from the black guards, they undergo even more rigorous training in both combat, and environmental survival. They are trained in urban combat extensively, as well as storming cities. They are few, but unmatched on any battlefield they have ever been applied too. During peacetime they make regular marches through Dwarven cities to inspire patriotism in Dwarves, and fear in visitors. They are outfitted in distinctive white full-plate armour, that is designed, and styled to be unique in both protection, and aesthetics. They use large, powerful melee weapons, and can be equipped with a specially designed crossbow. This crossbow is seemingly a normal crossbow, except that it has a small flint plate just on the front of the crossbow, the bolts are dusted with a highly flammable powder, and the iron of the bolts is scored, so that as the bolt is fired, the scoring drags across the flint plate causing sparks to ignite the powder making an effective weapon against highly flammable targets (notably, structures, and lamps containing oil). Their name Sturmzwergen translates in 'Storm Dwarves' named for their prowess at storming, and capturing enemy cities and fortresses.
Militia: The Dwarven militia force is really only a congregation of either ex-soldiers, or trained civilians. They carry a variety of low-quality, military grade weapons, but are considered an inactive military unit, meaning that they are civilians until Dwarflands are threatened, they are never used offensively unless it is within said Dwarven territory. They wear light leather armour, and are distinguished from other soldiers, or civilians by having a goldenrod anvil embroidered (or lacquered, in the case of metal armour) onto their left breast.
What the Dwarven military lacks, and why:
Cavalry – Dwarves do not use cavalry because they are too short to properly use powerful warhorses, as well as horses not being effective in mountainous combat. Dwarves do not use goats, or goat-like creatures because they are instead farmed for their meat, which is more important to Dwarves than their otherwise meager military contribution.
Navy – Dwarves do not make use of a naval military because of their innate dislike for ships, and water-travel. Merchants travel across water as a fast means to wealth, and Dwarven marines are well-paid for their time at sea.

MILITARY (more info coming later)
Sylvonia's military is made of 4 main branches and two elite branches. There is a draft for all men 17 to 22, service afterwards is voluntary, but it pays well and earns you high marks with the king.
Sylvonian Army
This includes all ground troops, artilary, bowmen, ect.
Sylvonian Navy
A fairly small section, they assist the Coast Guard in times of peace and are easy to ready for movement to sea should they be needed. However, due to the region's geography, a large group does travel the rivers.
Sylvonian Coast Guard
A very small section, they watch the sea nearby and travel the rivers.
Sylvonian National Guard
Surprisingly similar to the army, they protect the homelands. They are trained in the mountains and are quite used the terrain, giving them a slight edge when protecting them against many foes.
Royal Guard (roughly 200)
What the name implies, they guard the castle and the capital city.
Black Ops (20)
The best of the best of the best. They are called upon only when it is decided that they need the precision of a pin, but the power of an atom bomb.
Readiness Levels
Level 1: Maximum force readiness, the capital city's men are drafted to protect the royal family and parliament,
Level 2: Increased force readiness (more so than Level 3), National Guard protects all entrances to the country
Level 3: Increased force readiness, A heavy tariff may be imposed to reduce travel across borders
Level 4: Peacetime with increases security measures, Sylvonia will make sure it's allies and enemies know that it's open to diplomacy <--- Sylvonia's current readiness.
Level 5: Peacetime
OTHER
