Issue Error :(

Hi

Only been playing this a short time, and the other night, I got an issue which gave me the option of digging up the terrain to get at some uranium, albeit, in doing this, I would decimate the flora and fauna.

Anyway, this was not what I wanted, but in error, and because I was tired, I chose that option, rather than the one that I wanted, and now it has sort of been incorporated into my state, as policy.

Can I alter this policy, and if so, how so?

Thanks

Steve

The issues are on a random loop. You'll get other environmental issues in the future, and when you do, side with the environment. You'll even get issues more than once, so eventually the uranium issue will come up again.

Also, this goes in Gameplay or Got Issues?. NationStates is a roleplay forum.

Uh huh, so no way of changing it, other than to wait until other such issues raise their head, and go with that...

Okay, note to self, when determining issues, make sure you are not over tired!

The Murder City Jabbers frown upon the strangulation of commerce and industry in the world community. If an individual wishes to turn up the earth in search of uranium on his own property, what right does a government have to stop him? In the interest of good relations between our nations, I suggest you rethink your position on human rights.

Some issues can give fairly odd results even if you think you've selected the best option for your nation. Just remember that nationstates takes issues rather on the extreme side, and you'll be fine :)

Yeah, and you will also notice from the names of those in the issues it seems like you have a million brother and sisters. All with different last names...

Strange that.

What do you mean, Alba?

Well the names of people in your issues are randomly generated. For example:

"Unless this government does something, Alba Scotland won't have an auto industry for much longer," says auto industry union boss George W. McAlpin"

Could just have easily have been

"Unless this government does something, Alba Scotland won't have an auto industry for much longer," says auto industry union boss Joe Bloggs"

Yet alot of the issues often give comment from your 'brother' or 'sister'. Yet each time they are mentioned, they are still giving a randomly generated name. In time the amount of brothers and sisters you have picked up over the issues ranks in the hundreds :p.

Its just another one of those NationStates things. ;)
