The parties have selected their candidates after a long and hard fought primary season. With elections two months away here is the list of candidates and their running mates as well as their biographies.
Conservative Alliance Party (CAP)
President Jeff Barton
Bio: The current president is enjoying high approval rateings he ran un-opposed in the primary so he can focus on he General election. Jeff Barton is the first democraticly elected President in the Nations history and many say he has made good use of his office. He is married to Rebecca Barton and they have two children a son Terry (21) and a daughter Morgan (21) President Barton is from Newport in Carteret.
Vice-President Ron Hayes
Bio: Ron Hayes is the current Vice-President and is seen as a close advisor and friend to President Barton. Mr. Hayes is widowed and has a daughter Grace (25) Vice-President Hayes comes from the city of Franklin in Weston.
Tarsinia Liberty Party (TLP)
Governor Alvin Hill
Bio: Governor Hill of Craven lept to the front of the Primaires when the presumed front runner Senator Sam McKoy of South Catana droped out after charges of fraud. Governor Hill is seen as a "long shot" to unseat President Barton with many polls having him behind by double digits but don't tell that to him in a recent interview Gov. Hill stated "Don't listen to the so called experts, they counted us out in the primaires and we won. We will fight on in the General election and we will win." Gov. Hill comes from New Harlin in Craven, he is married to Victoria Hill and they have four children Alvin Jr. (30) Bill (28) Christy (21) and Tina (18)
Assemblymen Joe Tollar
Assemblymen Tollar of Rowan is the TLP minority leader in the General Assembly. He has served two terms in the General Assembly from the 7th district in Rowan. He is respected by members of all the parties and is seen as a great choice as a running mate. He is also running for re-election to his seat which is premited under the Constitution. Mr. Tollar comes from the city of Eagle Crest in Rowan he is not married and has no children.
National Reform Party (NRP)
Senator Kevin Pollard
Bio: After Governor Howard Grice the party founder and party nominee in 2007 anounced that he would not seek the party nod in 2011 the doors were wide open in the primaires with many candidates running. This was the most dirty primaires of all with the candidates doing alot of heavy mud slinging. Senator Kevin Pollard of Pawley Island emerged to the top after he called for all candidates to stop bashing on each other and focus on the issues. He is married to Robin Pollard and the have one child Brian (8) Senator Pollard comes from Bensten in Pawley Island. Senator Pollard is also running for re-election to the Senate
Governor Henry Holden
Governor Henry Holden of Brunswick was not even being considered as a running mate when Senator Pollard shocked many in the party by selecting him. Governor Holden is seen as one of the best Governors in the nation and has been praised as a great choice as a running mate to Senator Pollard. He comes from the city of Victory Crossroads in Brunswick. He is married to Jill Holden and they are expecting their first child in October. Governor Holden is limited to one four year term under the state Constitution but is also running for Senate aginst Senator Rose McKoy (TLP)
Confederation Party (Confed)
Assemblywoman Becky Ellison
Bio: Assemblywoman Ellison represents the 3rd district in Natrona. She is the Confed party leader in the General Assembly she is married to Grover Ellison and they have two children Oliver (32) and Brian (27) they live in the city of Boylin in Natorna. She is also seeking re-election to the General Assembly.
Mike Graves
Bio: Mike Graves is the state party chairman in Pondera this is his first run at elected office. He comes from the city of Grey Rock in Pondera. He is married to Heather Graves and they have no children.
