The popular clothing store in New Maranania, Burning Stars, is interested in hosting a large international hardcore festival. Burning Stars is interested in looking for international hardcore acts and tour dates, as well as sponsors from other nations. So send bands that are in the genre of hardcore (OR even metalcore).

Oh and a side note, you should help me include more real life bands that should be included besides the ones that are scheduled to play.

Spiritus Dei - West Point, Candiria - doesn't have a large open-air park, so it can't host a stop on the tour. - good ol' Norma Jean/ArcHITechts style Christian Straightedge Hardcore

Chariot Ride to Sunset - Blastbeat/Technical hardcore from rural central Candiria

Hammers - eastern Opperton, Tuares , socialist jazzcore (mix ReFused and DEP. Bake for 7 years. Enjoy.)

Waking to the Setting Sun - north Tena, - grindXcore band with 8-bit overtones.

Lead Suit - eastern Cuterion (city - lacks a large open air park as well), Guera - another, heavier nintendocore band. Mix in some classic As the Sun Sets for good measure.

The Wailing of Mercy Jones - central Melaias - The name's taken from a Candrian boxer; the band can best be described as a boxer's punches set to thrash.

LockStep - Southside - positive hardcore ala STYG

Yea! That'd be sick. It's a shame that I'm quite terrible at art. But hey, I could supply pics of the festival once it starts running.

Oh, I believe the hardcore kids would appreciate a classic BHS show, especially with the dancing painted girls, fiery instruments, fake blood and projectors showing images of accidents, meat processing, gory drivers education films and penile surgery, among other things.

Anyway, is there any chance you could please add a couple more Overbeccian cities? If you could squeeze in dates in New Burningman and Askewville that would canvas most of the country.

Out & About - Thursday 8/2

New Maranania HardcoreFest

If the recent reports from New Burningman are any indication, Askewville should tremble. The New Maranania HardcoreFest is a new arrival on the summer concert circuit, with dozens of balls-out hardcore metal bands... and not a wimpy one in the bunch. Especially notable for the Overbecland leg of the tour is the reunion of Austin's own Butthole Surfers, an outfit that may not always be hardcore in sound, but definitely hardcore in spectacle. Gibby Haynes, Paul Leary and the rest of the crew have reassembled all the elements of a vintage Butthole Surfer act, including the montage of disturbing video clips, the squirting of fake blood, cymbals ablaze and painted nekkid women (of which one of them just might pinch a loaf on stage). Other notable acts on the tour include A.C. (look it up), a reunited Minor Threat, the fierce and ruthless Coalesce and potential hardcore superstars Poison The Well.

The report from New Burningman's Black Rock Gardens was one of near chaos and ear-splittingly loud reckless abandon. Hundreds of thousands of hardcore fans young and old had four stages to choose from, all playing almost at the same time. And from surveying the masses, the reaction was overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic. Askewville's moshpit mavens, you're in for a hell of a time.

Thursday, August 2nd at Mooby Coliseum, downtown Askewville. Tickets are =K85 General Admission. Gates open at 10 a.m. and the whole shebang may last well into the night... at the Black Rock Gardens, it was 4 a.m. when the final song ended.
