Oliverry is a decentralised semi-presidential republic, with powers devolved to the Parliament (National Assembly (Lower House) and Senate (Higher House)), the cabinet (represented by the Prime Minister, Primus inter pares) and the President. Elections must be held in a 4 years interval, in which both the parliament and the President gets elected. President gets elected by universal suffrage in a multi-round election (a 50%+1 majority is needed for a president to get elected). The National Assembly gets elected with a First-Past-the-Post system, which doesn't seem to distort the vote that much, surprizingly. The senate is elected by a pure regional proportional representation, with 10 senators per province being elected to the senate.

The cabinet is accountable to both the President and the parliament (principally the lower house), which means that if either the president and/or the parliament revoke their confidence into the present cabinet, it will have to resign. An unwritten rule though states that there must be at least three unsuccessful cabinets in a row until the parliament can be dissolved and new elections be called. These are risked, as the president also has to stand for elections at the same time, which can get tricky. So, here's the current government of the Federal Provinces of Oliverry:

The People's Syndicalist Commune of New Ronin does not have a government in the Capitalist or "Socialist" sense. The structure of the People's Syndicalist Commune of New Ronin is two-tiered; the first tier is for meetings on a daily basis, the second tier is for meetings on a weekly basis.

The first type of the first tier of meetings to happen in New Ronin is the meeting of the Syndicalist Roninese Union (SRU) Locals, which are involved in the administration of manufacturing, construction, defense, communications and transportation and public services in their particular communities on a daily basis. These type of meetings happen daily (in the mornings) and only stop on holidays and weekends.

The first type of the second tier of meetings to happen in New Ronin is the meeting of the Communal Local, the highest institution of the People's Syndicalist Commune of New Ronin and of the Syndicalist Roninese Union (SRU), which is made up of all the delegates that have been selected from the union locals that are involved in all the sectors of the country's social, political, cultural and economic life.

The Communal local is further divided into departments; the Manufacturing department, the Public Services department, the Construction department, the Transportation department, the Diplomatic department, the Justice and Internal Affairs department and the Defense Department. They all operate upon direct democracy and direct communication. These types of meetings usually happen on Saturdays.

The second type of the second tier of meetings to happen in New Ronin is the meeting of the People's Neighborhood Court, to persecute violators of the law within that neighborhood. These type of meetings happen on Saturday evenings.

The third type of the second tier of meetings to happen in New Ronin is the meeting of the Neighborhood Assembly. The Neighborhood Assembly is when the locals that are operating in the community the meet with the rest of the people in the neighborhood to hear out their problems and what they could do, as locals, to improve the situation. These type of meetings happen on Sunday mornings.

Citizens House, the lower legislative house, responsible for the passing of domestic legislation and law, which is in turn reviewed by Imperial House, the upper house. The Council and both Houses are in turn partially regulated by the Economic and Environmental Courts, within economic and enviromental spheres of influence. Further there is the Iluvauromeni Space Administration, responsible for the legislative branch of government in the Colonies.

About thirty-seven percent of the population is currently a member of the Nobility.

Vauxhall is an ex-Kommissar elected like President in 1958 with the 81% of vote, and is the same person who arrested the older "President" for corruption (and a lot of other crimes) in the 1957.
