TOUR de QAZOX 5 Signups/RP/Results thread
Once again it is time for the TOUR de QAZOX. If you are interested take look:
Please sign up below with the following provisions:
1- Maximum of Three riders per country. (Sorry but 4 took too much time to scorinate)
2- Each rider will be graded in the following catergories:
Climbing (the higher the number, the better climber you are)
Sprint (the higher the number, the better in time-trials and finishes you are)
Speed (the higher the number, the better in the flat stages and overall time)
Endurance (the higher the number, the less likely to be injured or wear out on the longer stages)
Teamwork- (The better the number, the better your team works together.)
3-Each rider will have 30 points to be placed in each of the 4 main catergories, with a maximum of 10 allowed in each. For each Team a maximum of 5 points, and a mininum of 1 can be applied towards the Teamwork. The teamwork is for the TEAM not for each individual rider.. (it makes the scorination a bit easier)
4- If you are returning any riders from the 1st four TOURS de QAZOX, you will be allowed to add ONE EXTRA point to any ONE CATERGORY (for a maximum of 31 allocated points. Please note that I do have the Ratings from the 1st four, so no cheating (i.e no 11 points for speed.) You will be allowed to re-allocate the points for returning riders as well if you want to.
examples:
RIDER A
Climbing- 10
Sprint- 4
Speed- 6
Endurance- 10
This type of racer will be one of the better riders in the mountains
and longer stages, but worse during the flat stages and time-trials.
RIDER B
Climbing-5
Sprint- 10
Speed- 10
Endurance- 5
This type of racer will be one of the weaker riders in the mountains
and the long stages, but great during the shorter stages and time-trials.
RIDER C
Climbing-8
Sprint- 7
Speed- 8
Endurance- 7
This racer will do well in most stages, but probably won't win any stages.
The Teamwork catergory will influence three things. 1st- in Team and individual time trials, a team with a 5 in this catergory will have their riders finish with a better time/closer times than a team with a 1. 2nd- It will have an impact on the stages, for better or worse, depending on your team's strength (the highest average team rating in a particular Catergory). 3rd- it will separate the times up a bit, making the TOUR a bit more realistic in terms of teams protecting the Blue Jersey for example.
There will be a Blue Jersey for the overall leader, a Green Jersey for the best sprinter and a Red Jersey for the best climber.

Jeruselem is sending three female riders
Kylie Kool
Climbing- 9
Sprint- 5
Speed- 7
Endurance- 10
Trained by Ricky Pointy Stick, the daughter of Rachel Kool is taking over as new pointy stick of the cycling world. She's just a good looking as her football loving Mum and smart as her father Harry Kool. Still young and learning but she's got the best training her. Team leader and team girl.
Kez Mofa
Climbing- 8
Sprint- 6
Speed- 8
Endurance- 9
An all-rounder who prides herself on being drug free. Vegetarian and she is very fit. "Death or dishonuour" is her motto. Her father died climbing a mountain but she's not one to shirk a challenge. Really only here to help the team not actually win.
Annabelle Dosha
Climbing- 5
Sprint- 10
Speed- 10
Endurance- 6
The pure sprinter of the team, sister of football player Dinkie Dosha. Unlike her Dazza-like sister, keeps quiet and shuns the spotlight. Her team work has improved - very slightly.

Jariss sends two cyclists
Teamwork- 3
Baru Dorui age 27- Baru is the four time defending champion of the Jariss Dash, the race around the isle occurring on Jarissian Independence day June 2nd. Following the national soccer team Baru was quoted as saying “Hey if a sport like soccer gets to go against the world, then our real national sport of cycling should.” While this statement angered the Jarissian Frisbee Association which also claims that tilte he has come here to bring more interest and recognition to Jariss.
Climbing-2

Lyo Brauli age 23 The young up and coming challenger to Baru’s ascendancy at the top of the cyling world. Lyo finished second the last two Jariss Dashes, this last race only getting caught by Baru in the last two miles after building a lead going up the 1200 foot climb of the Jariss Peak. Considered the best climber in Jariss he hopes to take advantage of that here and get the better of Baru on neutral territory.

Reineberg
15-05-2007, 20:34
Reineberg will send three cyclists.
Teamwork - 4
Jonathan Tracy (age 25)
An Olympic athlete and three-time winner of the RIDEberg Sprint, Tracy is Reineberg's elite cyclist. Although he is an extremely fast rider on flat land, climbing is his obvious weakness. He is currently competing in his first Olympics, in which he has done very well for a first-timer, and will immediately head to Qazox following the completion of his Olympic games.
Climbing-3
Sprint-10
Speed-10
Endurance-7
Marco Mizzano (age 31)
Despite Mizzano's age, he remains one of Reineberg's top cyclists, finishing runner up to Tracy in the last two RIDEberg Sprint events. He is considered the "father" of the Reineberg Cylcing Team, with the most experience and wisdom of the three participants. However, not all is good with Mizzano, as he was recently diagnosed with early stages of Hodgkin's disease. Despite his courageous battle with the disease, these may be his last international cycling event.
Climbing-6
Sprint-6
Speed-8
Endurance-10
Ken Grovestone (age 20)
The youngest of the three cyclists from Reineberg, Grovestone has quickly risen to the top of his game. Finishing third in last year's RIDEberg Sprint, and fifth the year before, he has shown great promise. His strengths lie in the climbing portions of races, while his sprinting is somewhat lacking. Despite his yound age, he is a very fierce competitor.

Australonesia
16-05-2007, 18:32
Australonesia will be sending the following team to the Tour de Qazox:
Thomas Jackson
At twenty-six years old, Thomas Jackson is one of Australonesia's most prominent distance-bikers, having emerged champion of the the Australian Continental Race four times in the last five years, though has a well-documented weakness in short-distance races.
Climbing- 9
Sprint- 3
Speed- 6
Endurance- 10
Eric Marsden
Marsden, thirty-three years old, is substantially older than most cyclists, though he is nonetheless a very strong one. After serving as a member of the Australonesian Defense Force; where he was athletically involved in marathons, rugby, swimming, and cycling; Marsden became a professional triathlete. Four years ago, he decided to change the path of his career and focus purely on cycling. Though he has not ever actually placed first, commentators generally agree that he is one of the nation's all-around stronger cyclists.

Nikki:
"Hello! This is not DazMania, but I am Nikki Seabourne. It's the Tour de Qazox 5! Right, you ask where's regular bimbo Dazza Dallas? She's got her hands busy with coaching a World Cup team and running a TV network so she's not here so I'm here. Now, I know nothing about cycling but I have an expert here to help me. It's Ricky Pointy Stick, the coach of team Jeruselem. Lucky guy works with three women cyclists, and then guy worked with Dazza Dallas."
Ricky: "You're a nice lady yourself. I'm sure you'll do a great job and do Dazza Dallas proud."
Nikki: "I'm just quiz show host. I'm no Dazza Dallas."
Ricky: "One Dazza Dallas in enough, she's a handful as she is."
Nikki: "We did really well last year. Can we repeat it?"
Ricky: "I can't guarantee anything. Having won a tour and come second, I think we have a good chance if we do our job right. We have lots of competition and anyone can win really."
Nikki: "Is the team ready?"
Ricky:
"We've been working hard and we did have a few issues with Kylie and Kez having babies but I'm confident the team is ready. Well I think the girls having kids is good as it makes them tougher and more determined anyway. Falling off a bike is not much stress compared to giving birth."
Nikki:
"Well, I wouldn't know about that. I don't have kids yet. I know there's people out there who'd like to help out though. So is Kylie Kool, the first female winner ready for another title?"
Ricky:
"You bet. Now that she hasn't got a father, she's more determined to win now. And also to win for her children too. Kez is a little different, she's a single Mum as she doesn't know who the father is. Kylie is married to nice football player as you know."
Nikki:
"Do you think Qazox can regain the title? They have Jeruselem, Green Wombat, and many many rival nations who have great teams. Even the Stoners can win, but I don't think that's likely."
Ricky:
"They can but if you look at what they have compete with for the last four tours - it's going to be really hard. Oh, why are you almosts pointing to some imaginary object there Nikki?"
Nikki:
"DazMania habit ... hard to get off."

"From Haversham Cliffs to Broughton Heights, this...is Sports Report!"
Danny Williams: Good evening, and in today's Sports Report, we're talking about the three men looking to take international cycling by storm.
Lucy Peters: That's right Danny, it's the tall strong men of the Keyne Island cycling team! These guys seem to have been raised on a diet of growth pills!
Danny: (laughs) Yup, these men are six foot and change! The Upson brothers, of course, started off in their careers on the steep cliff roads, and they'll be licking their lips at Qazox's mountain stages. But first, they'll have another job to do.
Lucy: They do. This fine young specimen is Stephen Rhodes. Just nineteen, he'll have the Upsons setting him up for the green!
Danny: Yes, Lucy, you can put your tongue away now. That's all from us, we're off to get Lucy's libido adjusted for tomorrow's show. Bye!

OOC: This is my first sports event for NS, is there really much that we do, or is it basically based off of our riders' stats and randomness?
Well First, welcome to the weird world of Random Numbers, I mean RS Sports. For most events, like the World Cup of Soccer/Football the Role Play or RP influences the results more than events like this one. For the purposes of this event RP (over the last 4 i've done) has had about a 20% influence or so on the actual event, while the other 80% is all about numbers.
The amount and quality of the RP in here CAN affect how your riders finish, but at best it will only be about 2 or 3 places in the standings. (Which by the end could determine if you finish 1st or 35th). Don't really know how other sports RP's affect the results but usually they are cumulative(sic) ie: they add up over time. For this event, a small part of your RP Bonus, which is determined by me (and don't ask how much, cause a host got to have secrets) does add up, and each RP will affect the next day's standings.
To be honest, Check out this link to get a slightly better idea of how RP works: (Granted it's not long or specific, but it might help) http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Sports_roleplaying

Jeruselem Cycling News
Team Jeruselem take on the world in Tour de Qazox 5!
It's that time of the year. The football people have their world cups but we have be content with our version - the Tour de Qazox. Last tour Jeruselem swept with a fantastic performance with now-married Kylie Kool as champion and Annabelle Dosha and champion sprinter. Kez Mofa missed out on anything but it was team performance.
Not much this time round but there's no Dazza Dallas bimboing around this time. Dazza has covered the last two tours but this tour the sexy Nikki Seabourne is covering for the bike as Dazza is busy being a coach. Cycling fans who also sit around making late night phone calls to DazMania will know who Nikki is.
Two of the Jeruselem riders are now Mums, which might be something to do with Dazza's influence. Kez is a single Mum, while Kylie Kool is married to football player. Don't worry about Kez's kid, it's in safe hands at Dazza Dallas's place where there's plenty of other kids around.
Three quick things:
1- Decided to move up the Close of Sign-ups to 12:01 am EDT on May 23rd, so there's about 48 hours left to sign up (please drag people here...lol)
2- Since I'm moving up the sign-up cutoff, the TOUR will begin on May 25th instead of the 28th. (I want this to get a decent head of steam before the next World Cup begins).
and #3- The offical NSWiki Page, which for the newcomers, contains each stage winner, a Stage list amd the top 5 after each stage. The Page is located here: http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/1918_TOUR_de_QAZOX

Nikki Seabourne: Hey Kylie!
Kylie Kool: Hey Nikki, what are you doing?
Nikki: Oh me, learning all these names. Being someone who works on DazMania which is really a football show, cycling is foreign to me. People's names are bad enough but Qazox place names are worse.
Kylie: You'll get used to it. What's your cycling knowledge like?
Nikki: I'm working on that still. Don't know much.
Kylie: That's alright, Dazza didn't know much either when she covered the tour. But she talks enough rubbish to trick people she know what's talking about.
Nikki: That's all we do on DazMania, talk rubbish.
Kylie: Hey, you'll be fine then.
Nikki: These cycling terms - they are weird.
Kylie: Same as football, a lot of history behind everything.
Nikki: I'll muddle my way around this cycling talk somehow.
Kylie: Why did they send you instead of someone else who knew cycling?
Nikki: Well, I don't know. I guess I'm the closest thing to Dazza Dallas at the moment. Cute little woman who talks a lot and wears skimpy clothing.
Kylie: It's a good thing for you. You get to travel to Qazox.
Nikki: There's a lot of Oxen around here I noticed.
Kylie: It's the national animal I think.
Nikki: They don't look friendly.
Kylie: True, because they aren't. Thank God the locals aren't like that though.
Nikki: Have to get back to my studies ...
Kylie: Have fun. Oh, is that your doll there?
Nikki: Yeah, my personal DazMania Dazza Dallas soft plush doll. Signed by the bike herself!
Kylie: They are really cute.
For the first tme in the History of the TOUR, instead of the traditional Drawn Start to the Prologue, a mass start was used. It did not dissapoint as there were 15 riders with in ten seconds of the lead with 5 miles to go. Qazox' Julie Renfro edged out last year's Prologue winner, Annabelle Dosha of Jeruselem by 1 second to earn the Blue Jersey.

A decent day at the TOUR de QAZOX as the 32nd TOUR began today with a quick trip from Vogg City to Graverville. The 29 Mile Prologue saw Qazox' own Julie Renfro takes home the stage, giving her the Blue Jersey at this early juncture. Sativaville's riders finished near the middle of the pack, led by Darrin McBride, who finished in 14th. Jahine Rex was 16th and Kevin Storm was 22nd.
Up next is Stage 1- Graverville to Cuidad de Iguana which is 83 miles, a decent enough stage, which will not extremely challenge the riders, but the threat of rain could slow them down.

Nikki: Hi I'm Nikki Seabourne for JGN at the Tour de Qazox 5. It's not the Tour de Oxen, as some morons call it. I'm with Annabelle Dosha, who finished second to a local called Julie Renfro on Day 1, Stage 1.
Annabelle: Oh hi everyone.
Nikki: That looked like chaos at the end there. Riders attacking at every opportunity.
Annabelle: Yes, it was chaotic but I didn't quite get to Julie in the end. Almost there.
Nikki: You are big strong girl, what's the secret?
Annabelle: I don't do drugs, turns women into men especially those steroids.
Nikki: Your teammates didn't do well, Kez and Kylie at the back.
Annabelle: At the end of the tour, I'll be near last and those two will be so far ahead of me. These sprint type stages don't suit them. Don't worry, I'm here to make sure Jeruselem get a quick start.
Nikki: Your body shape is sorta wide and solid compared to little old me.
Annabelle: I'm designed for POWER as they say on Top Gear. You're got the Dazza build which is more for long distance stages. The bedroom build if you're inclined that way.
Nikki: Is this Julie girl as big threat to your sprint title?
Annabelle: Hard to say, she's started well but can she go the distance. That's the key - going the distance.
Nikki: There's a lot of women in the tour these days
Annabelle: Well, people laughed at us once. Women - cycling? Now, we are winners and with our Kylie being the first female winner - us women don't need to justify ourselves being here any more.
Nikki: So, how do you break away from say a mob of sprinters like just today.
Annabelle: Well, it's not called a mob but it is really just a mob. It's a group.
Nikki: So, how do you do it?
Annabelle: Timing, you wait, find a gap and hit the speed when the no one is prepared.
Nikki: Thanks there Annabelle.
Annabelle: Oh, your boobs are trying to escape your dress.
Nikki: That's alright. That's my job on the tour.
Annabelle: You aren't quite as bad our Village Bike.

Tracy in the Hunt; Others Lag Behind
The quick transition from Olympic competitor to Tour rider hasn't seemed to affect Tracy's speed one bit. He finished the first stage only eight seconds behind the leader, and was looking strong all day. After a less than stellar showing in the Second Summer Olympics, Tracy has really stepped up his game and is poising to attack. Unfortunately, the same can not be said right now for the other two Reineberg riders; both Grovestone and Mizzaro finished near the back of the pack. However, they are known to perform better on the climbs than the sprints, so we'll keep an eye out for them during the more challenging climbing stages. Overall, a decent first day for Reineberg, considering this is the first time any Reinebergers have participated in the Tour de Qazox.

PETKOVIC STARTS WELL, BUT NOT WITH THE SAME PERFORMANCE OF HIS FIRST YEAR
In the first stage of the Tour of Qazox, Bernardo Petkovic was surely the Cafundéu rider with more chances to succeed, as he already won the first stage in past years and because he is the best sprinter of the nation. And he didn't disappoint the supporters, finishing in the fourth place, just five seconds behind Renfro, a rider representing the hosts.
Fernanda Paulistana also finished well, trying to make a better performance this year, to show to the Cafundelenses that the women in Cafundéu can compete together the men of other countries. For Martínez, this round wasn't good for him, but that is because he is a climber. Soon he'll start his battle to defend his title.

Tour De Qazox Begins, Riders in the Hunt
In the opening Prologue the two Jarissian riders had solid if unspectacular beginnings to their effort to bring cycling glory to the country. Both riders managed to finish the short run in the top twenty of the field but neither could break into the top ten which may have surprised some people here.
Baru Dorui, who many feel is Jariss’ best hope managed to stay with the lead pack and has his turn came to set the pace for that group of fifteen riders could be said to have actually led the race briefly. However he seemed surprised at the competition level as they reached the final five miles where he was dropped from the leaders and finished in 13th some 23 seconds behind the winner, Julie Renfro from the hosts of Qazox.
Still he had a better run than his teammate Lyo Brauli who could only managed a 19th place 33 seconds back of Renfro. Unlike Dorui, Brauli was never in contention and couldn’t seem to get his legs going in today’s run.
Another flat stage looms for tomorrow’s run and it is hoped that our riders can improve from today’s efforts as they get used to the world of international cycling.

Tolvarus Off to a Slow Start
"Unfortunately, the Tour de Qazox riders from Tolvarus did not place very well in the beginning of the race. Simmons had a respectable finish in 10th place, but both Parkins and Chor finished lower down in the standings, with Chor finishing last overall. We can only hope that our cyclists will do better as the Tour continues, and we are confident in their abilities."

Baru Takes Stage 1
After a somewhat disappointing Prologue run where he was dropped over the last five miles of the race, Jariss cyclist Baru Dorui bounced back in fine fashion winning stage 1. The longer race seemed to have benefited Dorui more as he had more time to get into a rythmn and the flat stage reminded him of the Jariss Dash back here at home. Like the Prologue there was a group of ten riders who pulled away from the rest of the field, but this time Dorui managed to stay with the group the whole way. In the end Dorui managed to pull away from the final group of five in last km and in the with 500 meters to go he finally shook Bernardo Petkovic of Cafendu, the only one of the lead pack who tried to stay with him at the end finishing with a three second margin of victory.
This win vaulted Dorui into 6th place overall only 13 seconds behind the new leader Petkovic who barely managed to steal the Blue jersey over Annabelle Doshu of Jeruselem and the leader after the Prologue, Julie Renfro from Qazox. With a mostly flat time trial with only a couple of tiny hills Dorui is expected to make another move towards taking the Blue jersey, something he must do before the mountain stages begin if he is to have any chance of a victory.
The other rider, Lyo Brauli also improved from his Prologue performance with an 11th place finish 23 second behind his teammate as he spent the day unsuccessfully chasing the lead pack. The showing also improved his placing in the overall classifications moving him to 12th about 46 seconds back. He is also expected to put in a good effort in the time trial though as well.

PETKOVIC LEADS AFTER STAGE 1
After two fast challenges, Cafundéu's best sprinter, Bernardo Petkovic, is leading the overall standings. Of course he probably won't finish on top, as climbers often have best overall places than the sprinters in the end of the Tour, but this is surely a good start for Petkovic.
Fernanda kept her intermediate position, while Martínez will have to wait for the tougher stages to be able to show his talent. The supporters think that Martínez is the best rider, so the highest hopes were put on him.

Nikki:
Hello, this is Nikki Seabourne at the Tour de Qazox 5! Today on Day 2, Stage 1 - Jeruselem had a slow day but not a bad one. Annabelle Dosha finished 10th behind Baru Dorai of Jariss, 10 seconds behind. Despite that, she is still second on the overall rankings. Kez Mofa finished 19th, some 50 seconds off the pace while current champ Kylie Kool was 23rd, crossing the line some 106 seconds off the pace. The new overall leader is Bernardo Petkovic from Cafundeu. There's no panic in the Jeruselem camp as the sprinter friendly stages will end and the climbers take over. I'm with the coach Ricky Pointy Stick.
Ricky: Hey good looking.
Nikki: You like my fairy dress?
Ricky: I've seen it before.
Nikki: Yes, it's from Dazza's warddrobe. She's got funny taste, but oddly in vogue still. So, how is the plan going?
Ricky:
Well, a bit of target as we expected Annabelle to win the one of sprinting stages but she's still done well. That Julie girl from Qazox is giving us a little trouble but that's to be expected in sport. The others don't do much sprinting but expect them to climb up the rankings when the mountains appear.
Nikki: So, things are still on track?
Ricky: Yes, I think we don't dominate like last tour but we expect one top five rider or maybe two if Annabelle can stay in the top five sprinters.
Nikki: The local press have been commenting on your antics last year.
Ricky: Anytime you have me and Dazza Dallas on the same team, people will talk.
Nikki: Like sharing rooms?
Ricky: Yes, it's better I share a room with Dazza than one of our female riders.
Nikki: So you're not the father of Kez's bub?
Ricky: Not me, if that was true - I'd be fathering one of Dazza's kids too.
Nikki: There you go. That's it from the tour here!
Ricky: ON YA BIKE as the Village Bike says.

Lyo Brauli: At least you're being compettive out there. I'm stuck in the middle of the pack no matter what the stage is. 17th today? that's barely in the top half. Maybe i can make up some ground in the mountains.
Baru Dorui: Mountains ha! Get a big enough lead on the flats and you don;t have to worry about the mountains.
Lyo: Have you even climbed a mountain before?
Baru: Of course i spinted up the peak every day back home. Piece of cake.
Lyo: You do realize these mountains are about ten times higher than the peak right?
Baru: So i just do it ten times as long, no problem. Then we can get back on the flats and i'll pull away.

Tracy Stays Strong Through Day Three
No one was expecting the young Reineberger to perform this well in the Tour de Qazox, but Tracy has shown the world that he is full of surprises. He remains in the top five in the overall standings, but fell to sixth place in the sprinter standings. However, the mountains are coming up soon on the tour, so expect to see Tracy fall back a bit on the more elevated climbs. Perhaps Tracy will manage to win a stage before the climbs start, according to his personal trainer, that's very possible.
Meanwhile, Mizzaro and Grovestone have only managed mediocre performances so far. Of course, when the more hilly stages start to come, they should start to perform much better. Mizzaro is in 21st place overall, while Groveston is back in 33rd, just behind the Upsons. One good showing from either of these riders could shoot them right up the standings. We'll keep you updated.

Two stages in, and all Rhodes tead to fourth place. The sprinter has kept himself in the hunt in all of the stages so far, and is a mere thirteen seconds off the pace. With the long stage to Joehio ahead, it might just be possible that Stephen Rhodes could be in blue come Stage Four.
Meanwhile, in the flat stage autobus, the Upsons are biding their time, waiting to get their teeth into the mountain stages at the end of the week.

Annabelle: I didn't know Dazza could program like that
Nikki: Ouch, crotch kick!
Kez: Yeah, take that Nikki.
Annabelle: Cop that Kylie!
Kylie: Woah!
Nikki: I'll get you back Kez.
Kez: I've seen all your tricks.
Kylie: Not again Annabelle.
Annabelle: I'm kicking your ass there Kylie.
Nikki: Yeah, take this bitch!
Annabelle: That's one nasty wedgie, I can't move.
Kez: Good thing this isn't real. Dazza would be deadly.
Kylie: Check out his kneepad head slam.
Kez: Yow.
Annabelle: That Dazza character is deadly.
Nikki: Oh yeah, we won Kylie.
Kylie: The Village Bike strikes again.
Kez: I'm changing characters. I'm using the army girl now.
Annabelle: This Chinese girl should do the job.
Nikki: I'm sticking with Dazza here. Just changing costume - yeah killer cheerleader.
Kylie: This funny looking Lesbian type women looks tough.
<Girls battle it out>
Ricky Pointy Stick: Hello girls, I see you are training for next stage. Say, that one looks like Dazza Dallas.
Nikki: It is. Killer cheerleader!
Ricky: Why is she fighting with no underwear then?
Nikki: Whoops, forgot about that. It's default.

Nikki:
Hello, this is Nikki Seabourne for JGN at the Tour de Qazox 5. Today our Kylie Kool finally showed why she is Queen of the cup with a 5th placed finish on Stage 4 which was some 109 miles. Only 17 seconds behind the stage winner Baru Dorui from Jariss with another Jariss rider Lyo Brauli finishing second, 6 seconds behind. It was a tough stage were the best mountaineers showed their skills. The sprinters were left behind and the next stage will suit Kez Mofa and Kylie Kool again. Kez Mofa was not disgraced finishing 34 seconds behind in 14th while Annabelle Dosha crossed the line in 31st place. This means Annabelle is falling down the overall standings, she is now 4th with Kez Mofa in 22nd and Kylie Kool in 24th at the moment. Baru Dorai leads the overall standings with today's win but expect Kez and Kylie to climb the rankings as the fast men and women falter to the climbers. I'm the Kool chick!
Kylie: Kool chick, that's err so Dazza. She's a bad influence on you there.
Nikki: Come on, look the surname - Kool!
Kylie: Well, people call Kez Mofa - Mof balls (giggles)
Nikki: Mof balls, good one Kylie. Back to the cycling. Great day today.
Kylie:
"Ah yes, I love the mountains. It's where me and Kez get going. Next stage is shorter but more painful. My ranking may suck big time but that deficit will be reduced when I get into the mountains and push past the less fit climbers. I'm not built for speed but for scaling the miserable mountains. This is my time Nikki, I don't look like a super athelete but put on bike up a mountain and that's what I'm good at."
Nikki:
"Looks painful. All the other riders who finished late, they were spent while you and the leaders didn't look that tired."
Kylie:
"It is painful, but people like me and that Baru err you know. We thrive - we can take the pain. Sprinters like flat surfaces but not vertical climbs. Those Jariss riders are a threat and I can't see local Qazoxian who can match them so far. I need work hard to claw back the time and get myself a lead. I don't win stages but cut and cut and cut down leads."
Nikki:
"So motherhood, made you a stronger woman?"
Kylie:
"Yes, although doing this is still tough - it's better than giving birth still. Make me wonder what people like Dazza enjoy it so much but she's just a baby factory I guess. Actually, she has really short labours. Damn lucky woman."
Nikki:
"Well, you need your rest for the hard slog ahead. See you all later! This is Nikki Seabourne for JGN. And"
Kylie:

(ooc: Jeruselem, stage 3 wasn't a mountain stage... lol)
OOC - Oh well! Jeruselem is damn flat so we call hills mountains. My RPs aren't exactly factual anyway LOL
((OOC- Jeruselem, Baru (climbing-2) and Lyo (climbing-4) will be tickled to hear that they are some of the "Best mountaineers" in the tour :) ))
Team Jariss Dominates Stage 3
In what may be one of the biggest demonstrations of teamwork and taking over a stage in Tour de Qazox history, the two Jariss riders, Baru Dokui and Lyo Brauli went 1-2 as the races prepares for the mountains. The two Jariss riders, no doubt aware that the relatively flat isle of their homeland doesn’t make them best suited to do well in the climbs ahead, decided to make their splash today. Going off together in a breakaway at mile 30, the two no doubt attempted to work on their relatively unfamiliar teamwork as the Jariss Dash is strictly an individual event, as team time trials loom later in the Tour. In the end of the stage once again Lyo found himself unable to match Baru’s sprint to the line just like recent Dashes and finished 6 seconds back of his countryman who won his second stage of the Tour. The rest of the field tried to close late but found the breakaway had just enough legs to stay away from the pack at the finish line.
This second win, one which clear establishes Baru as a legitimate contender on any flat stage at least, moved Baru from 7th where he started to 1st and the prestigious Blue Jersey as the overall race leader. The former leader, Jerusalem’s’s Annabelle Dosha had a tough time and finished 1:31 back of Baru in 31st place. In fact Baru put a huge gain on much of the field as only Lyo could finish within ten seconds of his time. Only Cafundeu’s Bernardo Petkovic of the riders ahead of him could stay close with a 17th place finish 51 seconds back. Because of this Petkovic remains second on the tour only 19 seconds back with third place Jonathon Tracy from Reineberg third 50 seconds back.
The strong finish by Lyo has vaulted him up the standings as well after several middle of the pack finishes. Now 5th, Lyo is 1:02 behind his teammate but may very well be in better shape than his teammates as the mountains loom as Lyo is the better climber of the two. The next stage will be a good indicator of how the mountains may hurt as Stage 4 introduces the first small climbs, but at heights three times higher than any climb in Jariss. It remains to be seen how our two rider’s excellent endurance will hold up as the gradient begins to increase over the next few days of racing or if the climbs will drop them down the overall classifications.

MARTÍNEZ HAVE GOOD PERFORMANCE IN LONG STAGE
Ricardo Martínez is known for his ability in climbing stages, as he won last year's climbing competition of the Tour of Qazox. But today, even without having to use his climbing abilities, he could make an excellent time, finishing in the fourth place and starting well, hoping to complete a difficult mission: win the Tour of Qazox.
The other riders, not very good in long stages, didn't have good performances. Petkovic stayed away from the leaders, while the fast Fernanda Paulistana was too tired and finished in the last position. Although she has talent, some people think that maybe Fernanda isn't too good to be in the Tour, and that Natália Gazeta would be a possible substitute, if the team needs a woman.

Not a good Stage 3 for Team Pothead as all three riders finsihed worse than 15th. But a decent showing in the first mountain stage, escpially by Kevin Storm, who finsihed 2nd, moved the team up a bit in the standings
So far, here's the standings:
15- Darrin McBride (Sativaville) +1m:03 sec
24- Jahine Rex (Sativaville) +1m:27 sec
27- Kevin Storm (Sativaville) +1m:37 sec
A day off tommorrow, then the Tour will go from Qazox into Green wombat with a 105 mile stage, before the mountains beckon again.

AFTER EXCELLENT RESULTS, CAFUNDÉU HAS ITS 3 RIDERS IN THE TOP 5 POSITIONS
Ricardo Martínez, with a solid performance, as usual, was able to win the first climbing stage. The result wasn't surprising, as Martínez is the defending climbing champion, and one of the most experienced riders of the entire competition. Martínez commemorated a lot and threw his bike to the supporters. One woman was hit and went to the hospital with a minor injury, and Martínez got his bycicle back after paying a fine to the woman.
In the other results, Fernanda Paulistana shut the mouth of those who thought that she wasn't so good for the Tour, and after a fine performance, was able to improve a lot in the standings. Petkovic had a bad stage, as expected, but continues in the top positions in the overall standings.
Now, Fernanda, sometimes considered the weakest of the three riders, is in the second place in the overall standings. She said: "Now, what do you want to say about me?" Petkovic is the third, and Martínez the fourth.

[JARISS FREE PRESS
“A Free Press for a Free land”
Up and Down Days find Jariss Back on Top
In stage 4, the Jariss squad were rudely welcomed to the mountains as Tour leader Baru Dokui finished dead last in what the hosts claimed was a rather small and gentle climb. His teammate Lyo Brauli was only four spots better in what was the worst showing by the team to date as their lack of climbing skills were highlighted. However thanks to the big lead he built up yesterday, a breakaway which may have cost both Jariss riders when it became time to climb, Baru held onto his blue jersey by 11 seconds over Fernanda Paulistana the first of three straight Cafundeu riders holding second through fourth place. Lyo dropped back to 10th over 45 seconds behind his teammate.
But what a difference a day and flat ground can make. Taking advantage before another climb Lyo Brauli went on a surprise attack along with Ken Grovestone of Reineberg. Looking back on it this stage almost mirrors the Jariss Dash. The climb was a mere 800 feet a bit shorter than the Jariss Peak and the distance was only a few miles less than the Dash. In the end Lyo managed to outkick Grovestone at the finish to win his first ever stage by 4 seconds. Lyo was very emotional about the stage win.
“You don’t know how badly I wanted this win here. Baru didn’t chase me today because he wanted to save something for the hills so I knew this was my best chance at getting a win. After seeing Baru breaking the tape at the line so many times it was very special to be the one doing it today. Three for 6 not bad for a little island country no one ever heard of is it?”
Lyo of course was pointing out that of the six stages counting the prologue thus far, Jariss riders have won three of them. Speaking of the winner of the other two stages, Baru Dokui had a solid run finishing 6th at the tale end of the chase group trying to bring the two leaders down. Purely a defensive move on his part. But now here’s something all Jarissians should be cutting out of their papers here today and framing. After stage five. Baru Dokui still wears the blue jersey by 29 seconds over…Lyo Brauli. That;s right Jariss is running 1-2 in the overall classifications right now. In fact only Ricardo Martinez of Cafundeu the climbing leader at 33 seconds back is within a minute of Baru. Of note however, defending champion Kylie Kool has moved up to fifth only 1:13 back after finishing 7th only five seconds behind Baru.
With more hills looming, team Jariss will be hard pressed to maintain their advantage but have certainly made a statement to the rest of the Tour. “If the stage is flat, watch out.”

Kylie Kool Fan Club Newsletter
The Bike saves the day!
OK, we have a new sponsor. Kylie Kool Fan Club was sponsored a telco but we told them to f*ck off after they raised everyone's phone call charges causing grief. We don't want dirty money fund our fan club, so had to find a new one. Anyway the telco was considering stopping the sponsorship because we don't make them money anyway.
Our saviour is The Village Bike. Actually Razzle Media to more be accurate, but we know who owns Razzle Media - Kylie Kool's good friend Dazza Dallas. I can't tell too much about the deal due to commercial reasons but the Kylie Kool Fan Club is commercially secure once again.
Our girls at the Tour de Qazox 5 are doing well with Annabelle Dosha being the best sprinter so far and our Kylie Kool making up ground on the leaders. Kez Mofa isn't doing much for herself but she's still helping Kylie Kool out.
Our Kylie is 1:13 off the lead after 7th placed finish on day 7, stage 5. Baru Dorui from Jariss is holding to the lead with a pack of riders including compatriot Lyo Brauli, top climber Ricardo Martínez and Green Wombat rider Johnnie Steele attempting to steal the crown.
Yes, Kylie is doing it her usual way - slowly cutting down a lead without winning anything. Oh, Dazza has sent in some Dazza Dallas soft plush dolls to us - so if you want one call up the office and give one to your kids. These things are cute and Dazza is working on Kylie Kool versions.

MARTÍNEZ STRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE AFTER SIXTH STAGE
Although some supporters of Cafundéu's cycling team were expecting a victory in this stage, Ricardo Martínez was able to stay in the top positions and finished in the sixth place in this round. With this performance, he lost the top of the climbing standings, but was able to reach the top of the overall standings, something that he wants to keep.
"Martínez is more than ready to win the title. I'm sure that he can do that", commented Bernardo Petkovic, who wasn't good today. Fernanda Paulistana had a good performance, finishing in the top ten, and was able to get the tenth position in the overall standings.

Kylie Kool joins JGN Hottie Club
Kylie Kool officially joined a small club called the "JGN Hotties" of which Dazza Dallas and Kylie's mother Rachel Kool are members. A very exclusive club with three members now but football player Dinkie Dosha and ex-player Debbie Dallas are expected to join later.
Today in Tour de Qazox, our Kylie finished 7th behind Johnathon Chor from Tolvarus on Day 8, Stage 6 to move from 5th to 4th on the overall standings. Ricardo Martínez from Cafundeu finished 6th to take overall lead as previous leader Baru Dorui finished last some 2:08 off the place to crash back to 9th place overall. Our Kez Mofa finished mid-field in 14th and is a creditable 13th overall 1:50 off the leader. As expected, Annabelle Dosha has fallen back into the bottom of the overall leader rankings but the next stage should suit her.
The only time trial, this one should be Annabelle's - with team Jeruselem going last. Expect Julie Renfro to give Annabelle trouble here with both girls being the best sprinters so far. Don't expect Kylie Kool to do well here, she's a terrible sprinter.
Test sample of a new "Kylie Kool" soft plus doll produced by Razzle Media based on the popular Dazza Dallas one have been submitted to JGN for testing. Yes, JGN mothers will take them home to see if they kids love them.
Kez Mofa says she's found the mystery father of her child, a Qazoxian. He's agreed to help with maintenance of her child who is currently at the Dazza Dallas household.

Nikki: This is Nikki Seabourne for JGN at the Tour de Qazox 5. I'm with Kylie Kool, the cycling megababe, the next biggest thing to follow Dazza Dallas.
Kylie: Hey, I'm no Dazza. She's still a megababe - even you are one.
Nikki: Me? I'm a wannabe.
Kylie: Come on, you've covering the cycling. It's a start to bigger career.
Nikki: Team Jeruselem finished 4th in the time trial with the usual suspects Qazox, Cafundeu and Green Wombat leading the way. Jeruselem finished only 32 seconds off the pace from winner Qazox. Not bad considering, Kez Mofa and Kylie Kool don't sprint well.
Kylie: Yeah, I'm crap at that. Terrible!
Nikki: The good news is Kylie Kool moved to second on overall rankings 2nd behind Ricardo Martínez from Cafundeu but she is 78 seconds behind which is a large deficit. Kez Mofa moved to 11th, her best overall ranking so far and Annabelle Dosha moved up! Yes, Annabelle is 21st but the star Qazox rider Julie Renfro is the best sprinter now. In fact, Julie is 12th behind Kez with a difference of 2 seconds.
Kylie: There's a long road ahead Nikki for everyone. Literally too!
Nikki: Big mountains ahead for everyone Kylie?
Kylie: Oh yes, big ones. The rain doesn't help either, but I'm Kylie Kool - I'll tough it out. Pain is no barrier for me. That's why I'm not Dazza, she hates pain.
Nikki: So do I ... I'm a wimp too.
Kylie: What's with the beret?
Nikki: I don't know, just wore it today.
Kylie: It's Dazza effect, you going French.
Nikki: That's it from the tour. Our Kylie is making progress but we have a mountain to climb still - err bad pun.
Kylie: Hey, it's all true though.

OUTLOOK: 75F, 25% Humidity, 0% Chance of Rain. High wind warning in effect. Gusts may be over 25 Mph. The next-to last mountain stage travels down the Pika River valley. Since the course is downhill, it could in fact favor more sprinters than climbers.

Nikki: This is Nikki Seabourne at the Tour de Qazox, I'm with Kez Mofa who doesn't look tired. She's just climbed a mountain on her bike!
Kez: I'm tired, I don't look tired.
Nikki: A lot of pain and suffering today.
Kez: Yeah, the next stage is downhill which is a relief for everyone especially the speedsters.
Nikki: Not a bad effort today, Kylie Kool 9th 34 seconds off the pace and you 13th, 51 seconds off. And even Annabelle Dosha, 28th! Great for sprinter.
Kez: Well, Kylie wanted to be in the top 5 but at the end she didn't the pace to get there. I think Kylie is back to 3rd now and falling behind Ricardo Martínez, but then everyone else is doing that anyway.
Nikki: What do think of this Mark Upson, can he challenge the mighty Ricardo Martínez?
Kez: He is 2nd but I think Ricardo Martínez is a better rider this tour. It's either him or Kylie to win and it looks like Ricardo Martínez is going to have the edge. Upson, he's a chance but I don't see him overhauling the lead created now.
Nikki: Doing well yourself. Almost top 10, but not quite there.
Kez: I'm not here to win. It's Kylie Kool who can win. I'm helper.
Nikki: I see you fixed the paternity issue.
Kez: Yeah, it's not everyday someone wants a child they've never seen before. He's a good man, I wasn't expecting him to own up at all.
Nikki: So what happened, tell us?
Kez: A Dazza moment you can say. Me drunk after the wedding, and well feeling real good. Unlike Dazza who throws herself around, I wasn't trying anything. This guy chatted me up - and then things went all hazy. Next thing you know, you wake up in someone's bed. The bloke gave my breakfast actually.
Nikki: A good night then?
Kez: Yeah, but he's married now so ... I'll still be a single Mum.
Nikki: Is that an issue?
Kez: No, if I have to I just drop my kid by Dazza's place. It's the world's most famous kindy.

MARTÍNEZ IMPROVING, AND STILL IN THE LEAD
In the last stage, Cafundéu's riders did another great job. Ricardo Martínez continued his battle for the climbing competition and for the overall competition. As the team is very united, his team mates are helping him. After another good stage, Martínez did the necessary to continue on top. He is now the second in the climbing standings and the first in the overall standings, and the margin is good.
The second placed is Mark Upson, and the third is the current champion Kylie Kool. In the fourth place, a surprise. Who would think that Fernanda Paulistana, sometimes considered the weakest rider of Cafundéu, was in such a high position. She seems extremely happy with her current situation, although she said that she thinks that a title isn't a possibility.
Bernardo Petkovic, as the team's sprinter, didn't do very well in the last stages, but wants to get a higher position in the sprinter standings.

Kylie Kool says she needs a miracle
Kylie Kool, the defending Tour de Qazox champ says Ricardo Martínez should win the tour after Day 13, Stage 11 of the tour. On overall standings, she is 1:51 behind in second place and has not made much ground up in the last few stages.
She concedes "Well, it's not likely I'm going claw back two minutes unless Richard makes a mess of the last few stages. He should win this tour as the lead he has created is very large. Honestly, I've already lost the tour unless I make up ground real quickly."

MARTÍNEZ HAPPY WITH LEAD, BUT STILL CAUTIOUS
After one more stage, Martínez did the sufficient to keep a good lead. Dorui won one more stage, and Petkovic and Fernanda didn't finish well, as it was a long stage. Now, Ricardo is nearly two minutes in front of the defending champion Kylie Kool. He said: "I'm really happy to be in the first place, and excited to have such a good lead at the moment. But I need to keep focused on the stages, as anything can happen. It's not finished until it's finished." His last phrase had impact over the reporters, who were amused by such an intelligent phrase.
Petkovic is still waiting for the more flat and fast stages, to try to improve his place in the sprinter standings. Fernanda Paulistana lost many positions, and has now modest plans. She knows that she can't go too far.

At the halfway point, Team POTHEAD is doing good, but the real story is Ricardo Martínez of Cafundeu, who has an alomost 2 minute lead on the field. But with shorter stages, and no mountains left, excepting one stage, it is expected that he will slip back, but is his lead too big to be overcome?
So far, here's the standings for the team:

Team Jeruselem fight on despite slim odds
When it seems the Tour de Qazox 5 would go to Ricardo Martínez of Cafundeu, no one told Team Jeruselem to give up. Kylie Kool finished 2nd on day 13 stage 11 six seconds behind Johnathon Chor of Tolvarus to keep her hopes alive but she still has a lot of ground to cover. Kez Mofa is having her best ever tour with 4th placed finished a mere 16 seconds behind the winner to move to 7th overall, which is her first ever top 10 appearance. Annabelle Dosha finished a creditable 24th for sprinter on this stage.
One more stage, and Ricardo Martínez has a 1:42 lead over our Kylie after he finished 3rd on this stage, so he is not choking but cruising. It's up to Team Jeruselem to plan something which will allow them to allow their lead rider to grab the lead but the lead is huge and Kylie is not Supergirl.

Men do most of the voting in Jeruselem so the women's vote got drowned out. :D
He would have been in top 5 if he was still cycling though.
Alas, mateys, No scores tonight, (Went to go see Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End earlier, And I'm still rummed out...lol. The scorination will continue until the end on Sat the 16th.

Jeruselem Government News
Kylie keeps her Kool to win a stage and keep her hopes alive
Day 16, Stage 13 (yeah 13!) of the Tour de Qazox 5. Kylie Kool finally wins a stage on the tour! Yes, it was a miserable stage with heavy rain and the girl from desert Jeruselem handled the conditions best.
Kylie Kool won the stage in conditions which most people would be hiding from and showed woman aren't wimps. She beat Pedro Alacoa from Lovisa by three seconds and more importantly, beat current overall leader Ricardo Martínez by 24 seconds. The scheduled tour coverage live had to be cancelled as Nikki Seabourne had trouble keeping dry and the scheduled interview with Kylie was cancelled as everyone was soaking wet.
Ricardo Martínez is still the overall leader but his lead is now 1:22 with Kylie's effort finally closing the gap on him after making no progress last fews stages. Kez Mofa finished 13th, only 28 seconds away from Kylie and keeps her 7th overall position. Annabelle Dosha struggled home in 31st but is a creditable 28th overall.
The next stage is going be tough for everyone again but our Champion Kylie is proving women aren't just a pretty face and a baby factory, her kids will be as tough as her - and look forward to her kids climbing a mountain in Qazox chasing a tour title too. Kylie Kool is proving to be as good or better than her coach Ricky Pointy Stick. She's young and will be around for a while.
Johnnie Steele of Green Wombat is closest rival to Kylie's quest - but he is 1:00 off Kylie's overall time and over 2 minutes off the lead. The two top are tough and proving hard to beat, and a stage win finally for Kylie after some close shaves is the tonic for an exciting few final stages.
It was interesting what Nikki Seabourne decided to wear during the coverage we did have before the wind got too much for everyone - a raincoat and DazMania bikini. We think if this was Dazza Dallas, it's just be the raincoat.

MARTÍNEZ LOSES SOME SECONDS, BUT CONTINUES WELL
This stage, Kylie Kool was able to win some precious seconds, and Martínez lost some of his lead. But the lead continues big, and as the next stage is one with mountains - Ricardo's speciality - the Cafundéu rider expects to increase his lead a bit to be more comfortable in the last stages.
The other riders are just supporting their team mate. Petkovic is a good sprinter, but it won't be easy for him to win the sprinter competition. Fernanda Paulistana mixes good and bad performances, and will finish in an intermediate position. The country's hopes are in Martínez.

Tour de Qazox 5 dogfight continues
Tour de Qazox 5, day 20 stage 17 - Richard Martinez of Cafundeu continues to have the overall lead but defending Champ Kylie Kool is not giving up. Our Kylie won the stage ahead of two Reineberg riders finishing a mere four seconds ahead of second place. After losing ground to Richard on the last two stages, she clawed back 17 seconds as he finished 9th to reduce his lead to 1:50.
To highlight how good these two riders are, 3rd placed Johnnie Steele from Green Wombat who is a good rider, is some 2:36 minutes away. KYlie has won two stages but has been unable to reduce the lead to a stage where she is close. Richard Martinez is looking at the tour win but he has to watch his back as there's woman who's not giving up right behind him.
Kez Mofa moved to 6th overall and is looking good for a top 5 finish. Charles Eckert of Green Wombat is 5th but only 3 seconds with Kez making waves rising the overall leaders table slowly but she's not going to be any threat to the current leader.

ONE STAGE LEFT FOR MARTÍNEZ
After leading the Tour de Qazox for many days, Martínez now goes to the final stage in the first place, and with a very good lead over Kylie Kool. Most of the people in the country are already commemorating, and are going to watch the finish of the Tour live at Globo Multimedia.
For the other riders, the results were average. Fernanda Paulistana, sometimes considered a limited rider, is able to keep a intermediate position. Bernardo Petkovic didn't win the sprinter competition. But Martínez's probable achievement will surely put this team in history.
(OOC: when Toaster Smith won in both the overall standings and in the climbing standings some tours ago, did he give the red jersey to the 2nd placed rider?)

ooc: Offically yes, but in terms of history no.

Proof boobs don't get in the way of your cycling
By Dazza Dallas
TOUR de QAZOX 5 is over. Yes, our Kylie Kool didn't win but finished 2nd and our Annabelle Dosha finished as 2nd best sprinter. Not bad, and Kez Mofa finished 7th - her best result ever. A great team effort.
4 of the top 10 then were women. Our Kylie Kool, Kez Mofa as well as Julie Renfro from Qazox and Fernanda Paulistana from Cafundeu. Yes, the man of the tour was Richard but he had women chasing him all the way. Not a bad thing I'd say.
In the climbing stakes, only one woman - Fernanda Paulistana who finished 7th with Richard again the top climber and overall. Kylie Kool finished 11th here.
Sprinting - the domain of MEN. WRONG. Julie Renfro was best sprinter with our Annabelle 2nd and Lori Steele of Green Wombat and Fernanda Paulistana again - to round of the top 10 for women.
So the men win the tour but look at how many women are popping up, and making a big noise. What can we say? Cycling is not man's sport, it's equal between men and women. Looking at overall results, men did well in the climbing and women headed the sprinting. Overall rankings put both sexes even and oddly, the worst placed women rider was 26th of 35. So those who say riders with boobs can't ride should just give up now.

ICA Honour Riders
Following the conclusion of the Tour de Qazox, young Neil Upson has been given a special award by the Island Cycling Association. In honour of his position as "Best Young Rider", the fourteenth-placed rider has been given a special trophy, and a commemorative orange jersey (as the Tour does not have an official jersey for this accolade.) In addition, brother Mark, who finished an impressive sixth in the General Classifications, has also been rewarded with a trophy and medal for his achievements, and Stephen Rhodes has received a special medal in light of his stage win in what was a succesful debut for the island team.
Big-Money Linkup for Nineteen-Nineteen
The ICA have announced today a sponsorship deal for the Keyne Island cycling team. From next year, they will be known as "Team Keyne-Valeyard" after clinching a multi-million seckel deal with car manufacturer Valeyard Automotive.

MARTÍNEZ WINS!
That’s the end of the Tour of Qazox, and can be considered an important even in Cafundéu’s sports history. With an excellent performance, the riders could make impressive results and, in the end, finished as the best team of the competition. Probably Cafundéu won’t repeat such an amazing performance. Although the team worked well, its riders probably won’t continue in the team in the next tour.
Only Ricardo Martínez, the champion, will probably continue. With one of the best performances in the history of the Tour, the rider was able to easily win the competition. The first Cafundéu champion did an excellent job, and surely will be remembered for much time. He also was the best climber of the competition, and happily gave his red jersey to Chor, the second placed.
Fernanda Paulistana, the woman of the team, can continue, but her future is uncertain. After being criticized since the start of the competition, she finished in the third position! Very impressive. She also is the sexiest woman of the competition. The sprinter-climber did well, and nobody can criticize her now. Bernardo Petkovic didn’t appear much, but won many points in the sprinter competition. It’ll be difficult for him to stay.
That’s the end of this year’s tour. Congratulations to Ricardo!
<The CEO of the TOUR de QAZOX steps up to a podium>
Thank you all for being here. Congradulations, once again to Ricardo Martinez fora very impressive race. I would also like to thank all 35 riders of this year's TOUR for their impressive competition and ability. The TOUR has grown from a race from about 20 riders to 35 world-class riders in just 5 years of international competitions. With that in mind, the TOUR, would like to invite the countries of the riders to join us in making the 1919 edition of the TOUR a truly international one. The idea being that EACH country that has participated in this year's TOUR, will get 2 stages each, hopfully showcasing each countries unique regions. The 1919 TOUR will start in Cafundeu, the home of the 1918 Champion, Ricardo Martinez, with the Prologue and two other stages. The remaining stages will be determined by feasability studies, as to ensure minimal travel times. The tour will finish in Qazox with the last 2 stages. Granted, some countries may not be able to host more than 1 stage due to size or other considerations. But hopefully we can travel to every country and truly make this an international TOUR. The TOUR de QAZOX has been and will continue to be the premier Cyling event of the world. More details will be available fully on our web page: TdQ@Cycling.qzx. Thank you.
<The CEO of the TOUR de QAZOX steps down from the podium>
OOC: Yes i'm serious about this, TG me or post in this thread the 2 stages that you'd like to host with the following:
1- LENGTH of the stage.
2- TYPE of Stage (limits below)
--(Individual time trial or Team time trial: 45-90 miles)
--(Mountain Stage: 70-110 miles, with a rating of 1-5 1 being somewhat easy and 5 being tough as nails)
--(Short road stage: 70-110 miles)
--(Long Road Stage: 111-180 miles)
3- The names of the cities of the beginning and end points of the stage.
4- A brief descripion of the stage, ie usual weather, terrain info, local monumets, etc.
I'm hoping for about 12-14 stages international stages. Cafundeu will get 3, two normal stages and a 40 mile prologue.
Jariss would like to put up our national race- the Jariss Dash as a potential stage of a future tour stage. Note- arrival to the isle is strictly by boat and all transportation on the isle is by bicycle.
Jariss Dash
Distance 115 miles
Type- flat, fast and long road stage
Course- The race begins and ends in Jariss City after completing a loop around most of the isle itself. The race begins with a cerimonial loop around the Jariss Arena and then proceeds SouthWest on a gently winding path for about 33 miles as you pass through the farmland of the isle on your path. Then you turn West as you near the coast for a leisurely 10 mile straight course with the view of the sea to the riders left as they bike along. Gusty head winds are at times possible here as the trade winds blow from west to east here on the isle and are strongest along the coast.
From there you turn north by northeast and go by the edge of the lava fields which cover the western part of the isle. Due to the volcanic nature of the land here, there is a good deal of up and down riding as you go from sea level to 400 feet above along gentle slopes five times before leaving the 23 mile trek here. At this point the riders turn southeast as they begin their return to Jariss City for 12 miles where they will then reach the one climb on the course. They travel up the “Peak” as the hill is named reaching a height of 1000 feet above sea level at the highest point of the course. This is a 3 mile climb and rated as a low category 2 climb.
Heading back down from the climb the riders go northeast for 14 miles now as they can see the isle’s hydroelectric plant along the coast and the modern windmills taking advantage of the isle’s natural sea breezes as a backup power source in this region. From there it’s a mostly southern ride along the eastern coast of the isle for the final twenty miles to the finish just outside the Arena where the race began.

The Tel Aviv Party
1. 71 km (45 miles)
2. Individual time trial
3. Jeruselem to Tel Aviv
4. Starting from the Holy City of Jerusalem you travel from the dry centre to the more pleasant coastal and more moderm Tel Aviv. The climate gets nicer as you get towards the coast away from the drier, hotter centre which is a relief for the riders. It's a downhill favouring the fast people but it's not an easy stage. While the roads between two cities are good, Jeruselem is a desert and riders need to keep cool or expire in the desert. Riders start at a Crusader castle and finish at the nice beachside hotel where Jeruselem's wildests parties are held. There's a good chance you might run into Dazza Dallas there. A few Jeruselem city ruins are highlights allowing the way. This stage has two different cities - one for the holy faithful and the other - party captital of Jeruselem.
..................
The Haifa Run
1. 111 km (70 miles)
2. Short road stage
3. Tel Aviv to Haifa
4. A nice stage, riding along the coast of Jeruselem from one coastal city to another. Mostly flat but the countryside is quite uneven so it's not a sprinters dream. Best suited to riders who can create a break-away and keep pace but it is short stage so a fast pace must be maintained. You pass by a few castles and a few naval bases. Weather is warm but not as harsh as the interior of the nation but more mediterrainean. Haifa is Jeruselem's 3rd biggest city and has lots of history.
