So, I guess we become our country's WorldVision Organising Comittee since a new group cannot be created during this political crisis.
Does this mean we have an actual purpose now?
Yes. this means we have to select a song to represent our country, out of the ones that are interested in this honour.
Um... okay, but I don't know if any of these songs can really be considered good enough to represent our country in an international song contest.
Well, the last one is good. Nice music and everything. I give it my vote.
Okay. I'll give it my vote, just to actually have a unanimous vote. What about the rest of of you.
Um... I'm not really sure, they can't keep the song in one language, and the lyrics don't really mean anything.
What song do you suggest then?
Let me take a look then, i'll wait. Until you find something, I'm not going to change my vote.
Wait, i'm not finding anything better so far. Any of you other guys finding something good.
Maybe this one, I have my vote for it.
Well, it beats the alternatives...
(5 days later)
So it has been all this time, and we still don't have a unanimous descision?
Fine, I'll go with you on that one, it bets the rest of the other songs.
So now we have our song. Let's hope we win the contest.

Nobody had considered having the contest anywhere but Merano. However, with twin-city tensions high as ever, it seemed reasonable to award Bangkok the rights to host the national finals. At the time.
"Hippie Happenings" by Hell's Irate Puppies? Sucks, the judge wrote.
"7/8 Rhythm" by The Destroyinators? Sucks.
"Happy Birthday" by Benny Angle? Akshuly ¬suck but we just had u.
And finally, Red Knight took the stage.
"U win."
"But I haven't **** gotten to **** play yet!"
"Tak it ez on ur blepinator."
So did "Dance By" become Zwangzug's entry.

"You think any of them would dare lose their 'cred' by appearing in this glorification of crap?"

"Well, lets see, the Protein Shake's 'gobble it all up love'...yeah...not going to go down too well that one...erm..."

FBC ANNOUNCEMENT
The FBC is proud to announce, after a long hard-fought competition between the best and brightest of the Freethinker music world, the official Freestian representative band will be The Candle Flames with their song 'Desert Nights'!
We wish our boys (and girl) all the best of luck!
Well it was during the Romescu dictatorship that this young singer was selected from a group of other singers to go to the World Vision. It was to show off Lerasian Propaganad and spread the cult of Personality of President Romescu But now after the violent Revolution and now that Romescu has been Deposed and executed we are not sure what to do. The young lady knows no other music other than Romescu era music and we dont have any other muscisians. People are acually protesting in the streets asying that is that woman sings any of that Romescu Propaganda it would be in extremely bad taste, she has already recieved death threats, But her manager (who had sympathies with Romescu) is advising her not the change the song and she will continue to sing the planned song
Called: Romescu the Sun of Lerasia
Adel Musescu will sing the song
OOC: i hope i'm doing this right, ok.

Before The Final
Kevin Ulbricht looked at the crumpled sheet of paper on his desk, shaking his head, then took a shot.
Then he looked at the crumpled sheet of paper, again.
"Why?" There was nobody else in the room - but he choose to speak loudly, anyway.
Printed on the crumpled sheet of paper were the contestants for the national final, the very source of his desperation and growing desire to just cut some of his arteries.
Make Her Bleed (The Cherry Poppers)
Volcan (Phallus Infernalis)
Reach out and feel the Love (Maria Berger)
Snow (Snow)
He hadn't even known any of the bands beforehand, but a bit of research verified his worst fears - 'Snow' was little more than an upstart hoping for some public relations, Maria Berger was a wrecked ex-'Star' who couldn't sing, Phallus Infernalis, well... At least they were singing in latin, which made their sex-laden song less embarrassing.
And 'The Cherry Poppers' were a school band (All members were in between grades 10 & 12) who participated for giggles.
After the Final
Kevin Ulbricht, PR Department, Greenland Broadcasting, sat at his table, looking as if lobotomised, Rosemary Kennedy style, staring at the wall. It was all he'd done for the last hour or so.
He couldn't believe it.
Well, in a way, he could. All participants had sucked, sure (Phallus Infernalis literally so), but still.
He looked at the gun in front of him. Did he really want to be known as the man responsible for this?
Did he?
He took the gun, and put it against his head. Then he pulled the trigger.
"Oh, FUCK. Forgot to load the thing."
The Cherry Poppers, a band of adolescent students 'Singing' about sex and drugs, had won, and was going to Zwangzug.

"Can't we just do the same thing as last time?"
"No, we got a joke song from punks."
"How about before that?"
"A dancing bear."
"Well, before that?"
"A fake sheikh."
"Did any of them win?"
"Not even close."
"So we couldn't do any worse, could we?"
"Er, no."
***
The Wentland Broadcasting Corporation wishes to announce that it will not subject songs for the forthcoming song contest for public approval on the basis that the public are stupid.
Therefore WBC will enter with the WBC Band in a song called The WBC Song.
That is all.

The rejistani national finals this time too place in a rather unexpected location: in Jinhes kali. Jinhes is not exactly a big city, so a Song Contest there was a controversal decision. Despite that, the mood was good and the Rejistani participants were singing as good as they could.
The local participant was a progressite called Rolan Hilek, a white person, for the first time. His song was the typical teenie-oriented pop song called "Not just a night".
From the south east, the seleken band Namatele played the tradition-oriented song called "Niki Niki Niki Teme". The seleken tradition is currently en vogue since many selekens work abroad and see it as only connection to their home nation. Upon returning, many of these people are more conservative than the average seleken who remained home.
From the south-west, the band Oyki Okiy (translated as: "chore" or "mindblowlingly stupid work") entered the stage with their humorous song "tahiakan'isa'han" (the monster comes). It is about a monster attacking the city and only being stopped by a monster-dance and divine rythm.
The west entered "Mdeea Liivaril ve najny'het xi" (Mdeea Liivaril and the second chance) entered the political song: "Evil Eyes". This song is about the strive for a life without being surveilled. Mdeea was born in a sect where the life was very tightly controlled, so she is very passionate about that topic.
From the north, the band "Kansu ve Karma", an a capella-band which already was victorious once participated with the song "Nilhe" (no one). Again their topic is lonliness, the feeling of being seperated from the world and to have no hope. Foreigners would say Emo, but that somehow misses the point since Kansu ve Karma always emphasize honor and dignity in their songs. It is not about suuffering but to bear their fate.
For KaMaRi, an ehila~oan band called "Ha~o La Sen" (ehila~oan for: River Bridge Way) participated. Their song "Sa~edi Hi Kali" is in the Top 20 of the rejistanian single chart, but many people advised against voting for them because of the untranslatable concepts, which are in this song: Sa~edi Hi is a mystical place, here described as mystical city, inhabited by Haja~eli~n'ny (spiritual beings). Rejistanis, when asked to explain the myth of the two youths who leave their community to search the city, often compare it to Hotel California, but they are aware that this is twisting
the facts to a high degree.
The voting went without problems according to the officials (this normally means the different attempts to manipulate roughly balance themselves out). Anchorwoman Hami announced that Ha~o La Sen beat the odds and would travel
to Merano kali for the finals.

The three girls, Iyla aged 18, Sophia aged 18 and Samia aged 19 have become an instant hit in St Samuel with there up-beat song all about embracing the love of every culture. One pundit said "It's typical cheesy pop-crap, I'd imagine it will do great in the Worldvision."
Meanwhile, Abu Hana have selected 58 year old former cruise line singer Yousef Al-Bikouri with his song 'Sailing home.'
