RP:

There will be an RP Bonus based on Number of Posts, Quality, Length, Presentation, and Other. This Bonus will be Cumulative but will not carry over into the finals.

What rankings are you going to use?

After WC34 rankings or after the BoF rankings?

1. How would you do scheduling? Would you do same schedule first half/second half and boring 1v4 2v3, 1v3,2v4, 1v2,3v4 for the finals or will you actually put in the small amount of work to make non-repeating schedules that vary from group to group?

2. To follow along with Qazox's question, how will the finals draw be seeded? Some hosts have used straight rankings (either pre cup or post qualifiers), straight qualification record, or a mixture of both. How will you do so?

3. Direct qualification or playoffs? What is your ideal group structure?

Even though this cup eventually became an RPing competition due to it's crazily high RP bonus? And even the scorinator's creator said that it wasn't being used properly (if I remember correctly)

I share the same concern. Why use the World Cup 33 version of VSS when Vilita openly stated it wasn't being used properly, and when there was concern expressed in some quarters about a system that gave us Demot in the semi-finals? (no disrespect to Demot intended, but I think even ESF was surprised about how well his puppet did)

Do you really believe that the WC33 VSS is better than ZWCOS? If so, why?

On the other hand, I don't share the following concern:

Since I disagree that 'non-repeating schedules that vary from group to group' is by necessity a 'small amount of work', and am also of the opinion that most of us don't give a flying fig about how scheduling compares across groups.

And the question says far more about Az's personal biases in world cup organisation than it does about the important practical elements of cup organisation and scorination.

It is a small amount of work. I did it myself and would gladly do it for anyone else. I offered to do it for you guys as well. And most people don't care. But I do care. I prefer schedules to be more interesting than the cookie cutters most people use.

As for VSS, I have different priorities there too. I'm not overly concerned by the results from our cup. Yes I was suprised that me, Demot and Wentland made the semis, but I don't think any were undeserving of doing so.

The method of qualification (Teams Automatically advancing based on group finishing position, teams advancing via playoff, etc...)
The method of conducting the group draw (Pots & Ordered, Pots & Scrambled, Random, etc..)

Whether rankings at the beginning of qualification will be used through to the World Cup Finals OR
Whether updated rankings reflecting performances in the Qualifying Stage will be used during the Finals

Arch: the minimal problems that were found have been fixed

Az: well do weird scheduling, finals draw will be based on qualifying performance, ideal group structure is some number of groups of 10, 100 would be nice, but we will work with what we have. Innvoation, Oli wont win :P, ummm im not sure if we will be doing anything to different.
